1.Supreme Court asked the Center to give report on foreign nationals lodged in jails despite completion of the sentence :-

The Supreme Court has told the Center that after completing the punishment, the report about the latest status of all foreign prisoners, including the Pakistani prisoners who are in jail, will present the report. According to the order of May 3 this year, the court has asked the central government to submit the report within four weeks. The Supreme Court heard this petition while hearing a petition. In this petition, despite the completion of the sentence, there has been a demand for the release of foreign nationals lodged in different jails of India and sending them to their respective countries.

President Ram Nath Kovind started the journey of three North-Eastern states today from Arunachal Pradesh. He attended the 40th Raising Day of Vivekananda Kendra in Itanagar. On this occasion, Shri Kovind said that Arunachal Pradesh is progressing on the path of progress through various development projects. He appreciated the contribution of the Vivekananda Center institutes in the far-flung areas of the state. He said- Education for all types of reforms in the society is a major contributor to the development of a person’s character and dignity. Vivekananda center teaches us how reconciliation with traditional values and science and technology can be possible.

 

3.President Ramnath Kovind on trips to the three North-Eastern states :-

President Ramnath Kovind is touring Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Manipur from three northeast states on Sunday. This is his first visit to these states after becoming President. In the beginning of the yatra Shri Kovind will be present in the concluding session of the function organized on the completion of 40 years of Vivekananda Kendra in Itanagar. Later, Shri Kovind will dedicate the people of the state to the newly constructed building of Arunachal Pradesh Assembly and also address the special session of the Vidhan Sabha. Before returning to Delhi, he will also visit two states of the Northeast and Assam and Manipur.

 

4.Quami Ekta Week is being celebrated across the country :-

For the purpose of strengthening communal harmony and national integration, the country is starting the Quami Ekta Week from today. This week’s activities will help in tackling the challenges of the country’s secular fabrication. It will be an opportunity to reaffirm the tolerance and co-existence of brotherhood in values of values and multicultural and multi-religious society.

Today’s day will be celebrated as National Ekta Divas in the week-long program. Meetings and conferences will be organized to promote secularism and non-violence. The last day of the Quami Ekta Week will be celebrated as a protection day, which will focus on promoting the awareness of preserving the environment.

American Space Agency NASA has launched a state-of-the-art satellite that will monitor the global environment. This will help in making a more precise forecast for the weather. This satellite, called Joint Polar Satellite System-1, is a joint effort by NASA and the National Atmosphere and Ocean Administration.

 

7.Banks get permission to hire private operators to manage their base enrollment centers :-

Indian Unique Identification Authority – UIDAI has given some concession in connection with securing machines for registering names in their base stations and appointing private operators for data entry. Ajay Bhushan Pandey, Chief Executive Officer of the Authority said that this will accelerate the work of opening the centers for revision of base registration and Aadhaar cards in the bank premises.

 

8.Winner of both men and women in Ethiopia’s Delhi Half Marathon :-

In the Delhi Half Marathon, Birhnu Leges of Ethiopia were winners in the men’s category and Almaz Aiyana was the winner in the women’s category. Ethiopia’s Ndhamamlak Belihu second and American Kenyonian American Leonard Korir remain third in the men’s category. India’s Nitin Rawat got 10th position. Elmas Ayana of Ethiopia was first in the women category. Abbahl Yehsehnah second and Leaderasaheet Gudeta stayed in third place. About 35 thousand runners from different countries of the world attended the Half Marathon.

 

9.Yuki Bhambri defeats Ramkumar Ramanathan in ATP Challenger Tennis Tournament :-

Yuki Bhambri has won the men’s singles title of the Pune Challenger Tennis Tournament. In the final, Yuki beat India’s Ramkumar Ramanathan 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the finals.

 

10.Delhi’s Amoz Jacob breaks 11 years old record :-

Amoz Jacob of Delhi won the gold medal with a record of 400 meters of boys under-20 category at the 33rd National Junior Athletics Championship. Apart from Jacob, two more records were also made on the third day. Jacob won the race with 46.59 seconds and broke the record of Virender Punk (46.99 s) that was created 11 years ago. This record was made by Virendra in 2006. Haryana’s Harsh Kumar (46.99 s) also won silver by improving the record of meat, while the pride of his state (47.62 s) won bronze. Jacob, who started his career as a junior champion, represented the senior Indian team in the four-fold 400 meter relay in the IAAF World Championship in August this year. Poonam Jakhar of Haryana, under the hammer throws of under-18 category of girls, has reached the level of 54.66 meters, with its own Meat record (58 23 meters) improved. Sneha Jadhav of Maharashtra won the bronze medal of silver and Tamil Nadu.
