3.Vijay Mallya’s extradition hearing begins in a London court :-

The trial of the extradition of Vijay Mallya, accused of fraud and money laundering of Rs 9,000 crore in India, began in UK court in London yesterday. The prosecution said that liquor businessman Mallya has to answer the case of cheating. From the Government of India, the Royal Prosecution Service of Britain started the debate on the matter. 4.Supreme Court order on citizenship claims in Assam :-

The Supreme Court has said about Assam citizenship claims that certificates issued by the Panchayat Secretary and Executive Magistrate can be used provided they have been issued after proper investigation.

A bench of Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice RF Nariman dismissed the order of the High Court of Guwahati in which it had said that these certificates were invalid for claiming citizenship.

The bench also said that the certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Secretary is proof of citizenship provided they have a description of generations of their family. The Supreme Court was hearing petitions challenging the order of the High Court of Guwahati.

5.Enforcement Directorate seized the property of former Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal of Maharashtra :-

Enforcement Directorate has seized assets worth more than 200 million in the money laundering case against NCP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal and others. So far, a total of 178 crore rupees have been seized.

The Enforcement Directorate had arrested Mr. Bhujbal in March last year under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in the money laundering case relating to the new Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi.

 

6.A special court in Delhi will take a final decision on December 21 in the 2G spectrum allocation scam case :-

A special court in Delhi has said that the verdict in the 2G spectrum allocation scam will be pronounced on the 21st of this month. In this case former Telecom Minister A Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi and some other accused in the Rajya Sabha. The court is hearing two separate cases related to the scandal. One case investigating the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the second is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate.

Along with this, issues related to energy and renewable energy sector will also be discussed in the conference. In the conference, senior officials of Ministers, Secretaries and Public Sector Undertakings of States and Union Territories will review the latest progress and discuss topics on important schemes.
