Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  held  a grand road show in Visakhapatnam , Andhra Pradesh  .   During this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister  Chandrababu Naidu  and Deputy CM  Pawan Kalyan  were also present with him. Prime Minister Modi  laid the foundation stone of NTPC Green Energy Limited  ‘s  Green Hydrogen Hub Project  at  Pudimadaka near Visakhapatnam. This project is the first green hydrogen hub  to be built under the National Green Hydrogen Mission   . The project will have an investment of about  Rs 1 lakh 85,000 crore , which includes the development of 20 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity. It will be one of India’s largest green hydrogen production facilities, where 1500 tonnes of green hydrogen and 7500 tonnes of green hydrogen products such as green methanol, green urea and sustainable aviation fuel will be produced per day. The project is being built primarily with the export market in mind and will help India achieve the target of 500 gigawatts of non-fossil energy capacity by 2030. The Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of railway and road projects worth Rs 19,500 crore in Andhra Pradesh. This includes the foundation stone of South Coast Railway Headquarters in Visakhapatnam. These projects will improve connectivity, reduce congestion and boost regional social and economic development. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of a Bulk Drug Park at Nakkapalli in Anantapur district. This park will create thousands of jobs and drive economic growth due to its proximity to the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor and Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Petroleum and Chemicals Investment Region. In addition, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Krishnapatnam Industrial Area (KRIS City) under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh. The project is a flagship project under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme and is being developed as a green industrial smart city.

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  formally  inaugurated the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas  at Janata Maidan   in  Bhubaneswar , Odisha  . On this occasion, Mr. Modi said that people of Indian origin have made the country proud with their work across the world. The Prime Minister is currently addressing the conference. The three-day 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention began with great fanfare at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The convention was inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya by lighting the lamp. The inaugural session was titled ‘Young Pravasi Bharatiya Divas’.

4 Marathi language was officially given the status of classical language by issuing a government resolution

 

Marathi language has been  officially  given the status of  classical language  by issuing a Government Resolution. Maharashtra’s Marathi Language Minister Uday Samant  met Union Culture Minister  Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Delhi  . Mr. Shekhawat formally handed over the Government Resolution to him. Mr. Samant said that this is like a dream come true for the people of Maharashtra and Marathi speaking people of the world. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for this. Apart from this, he announced that the Maharashtra government will soon submit a proposal to the Central Government. It will outline the benefits to be given to the classical language as per the rules.

AIR’s special musical composition and lyrical presentation is a reflection of the spiritual, cultural and religious significance of Maha Kumbh. The song  is sung by  Ratan Prasanna and music is by Santosh Nahar  and  Ratan Prasanna  . AIR’s melodious presentation expresses the greatness of the eternal traditions and sanctity of Maha Kumbh. It creates a feeling of devotion and pride among the listeners. The theme song “ Mahakumbh Hai ” produced by Doordarshan is sung by Padma Shri Kailash Kher. It encapsulates the devotion, festive spirit and vibrant cultural essence of Maha Kumbh.

6 IBD- India AI signs MoU with Microsoft to adopt and develop Artificial Intelligence in India

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology  said that  the Independent Business Division-  IBD- India AI  under Digital India Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with  Microsoft   to adopt and develop artificial intelligence in India  . Under the agreements signed in this regard , Microsoft and India AI  will train five lakh individuals including students, teachers, manufacturing institutions, government officials and women entrepreneurs by 2026. They will also set up a special AI center called AI Catalyst to promote rural AI innovation and support one lakh AI innovators and developers through hackathons, community-building solutions and AI marketplace. They will create AI productivity labs in 20 National Skill Training Institutes in 10 states to train 20 thousand teachers. Under this, support will be provided to empower one lakh students with basic AI courses in 200 Industrial Training Institutes. Microsoft had announced an investment of $300 million in cloud and AI infrastructure in India over the next two years, which also includes the establishment of new data centers. Microsoft also announced to train 10 million people in AI by 2030.

7 Anju Bobby George appointed chairperson of AFI Athletes Commission, Neeraj Chopra most prominent male member

Long jump great  Anju Bobby George  was on Wednesday   appointed chairperson of the nine-member Athletes Commission of  the Athletics Federation of India , which has six women with javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra  as the most prominent male member. The other women in the new panel are sprinter  Jyotirmoyee Sikdar , discus thrower  Krishna Poonia , hurdler  MD Valsamma , steeplechaser  Sudha Singh  and sprinter  Sunita Rani  . Anju, a 2003 World Championships bronze medallist,  is also a senior vice-president in the AFI  . All these women are retired and their inclusion is a notable milestone in AFI’s quest for gender parity in its set-up. The previous commission had four women.

8 Centre approves funding to AI Touch to develop AI-powered 5G RAN platform

The central government  has approved funding to AI Touch   for developing   an AI-powered 5-G RAN platform . The project will bring operational efficiency in 5-G networks. It includes RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC), Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) and Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) modules. Its implementation will be overseen by the Center for Development of Telematics (C-DOT). Artificial Intelligence (AI) Touch LLP has been provided funding under the Department of Telecommunications scheme to develop components of 5-G RAN (Radio Access Network).

9 Several workers trapped due to waterlogging in coal mine in Umrangso area of ​​Assam

The Indian Navy  has  deployed a special team to assist in rescuing miners   trapped in  Umrangso,  a remote industrial town in  Dima Hasao district  of  Assam . The team consists of one officer and 11 sailors, including highly trained clearance divers. This team is skilled in deep water diving and rescue operations. Let us tell you that many workers were trapped in the coal mine of Umrangso area of ​​​​Assam due to waterlogging on January 6.  The administration intensified the rescue operations immediately after the incident. 10 workers were safely evacuated from the mine, but at least 12 workers are still reported to be trapped.

10 Women’s Premier League will be held in Lucknow and Baroda

BCCI  has finalized 2 venues  for  the third season  of  Women’s Premier League (WPL)  . All matches will be played between 5 teams in Baroda and Lucknow  . The tournament can start from 6th or 7th February. Second phase matches will be held in Baroda, which includes qualifiers and finals. BCCI   has informed Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA)  and  Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) about organizing matches on their grounds.

11 New Zealand cricketer Martin Guptill announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 38

New Zealand  cricketer  Martin Guptill  announced   his retirement from  international cricket  at the age of  38. Guptill’s career lasted for about 14 years. During this time he scored more than 14 thousand runs in 367 matches  with  23 international centuries  . Guptill played 198 ODIs, 122 T-20s and 47 Test matches in his career. He played the opening match against West Indies in 2009. On his retirement, Guptill said that playing for New Zealand has always been my dream and I feel very lucky and proud to play for my country. Guptill   holds the record for the highest individual score in the ODI World Cup . In the 2015 World Cup, he played an  unbeaten  innings of 237 runs in 163 balls. He scored 2 thousand 586 runs in Tests.
