Mr Uikey said that Aadi Sanskriti is a digital academy and e-learning platform . It is an online marketplace of tribal art, culture, crafts and information for national and global audiences. He said that it will create new opportunities for cultural preservation and livelihood. Speaking at the National Conference on Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan with Project Officers of Integrated Tribal Development Agency , the Union Minister said that preservation of tribal heritage is not just about protecting culture but also about ensuring respect, empowerment and opportunities at the grassroots level.
3 Agreement between four major institutions for transfer of SSLV technology

NewSpace India Limited , Indian Space Research Organisation – ISRO , Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited An agreement has been signed between for transfer of Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) technology . Developed by ISRO, SSLV is designed as a fast, scalable launch vehicle for industrial production. It aims to increase the global market share for small satellite launches.
4 ‘Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana’ completes 5 years

The Department of Fisheries , under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, on Wednesday marked the completion of five years of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and highlighted the significant contribution of the scheme to the country’s economy, nutrition and sustainability goals. Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) was launched on 10 September 2020. The scheme was approved with a total investment of Rs 20,050 crore . It has a five-year plan from 2020-21 to 2024-25. According to government data, till 22 July 2025, the Department of Fisheries has approved fisheries development projects worth Rs 21,274.16 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. This scheme has been working for the last five years towards making the fisheries sector ecologically sound, economically viable and socially inclusive. India has become the second largest producer in the world in this sector with a fish production of 195 lakh tonnes in 2024-25 , which strengthens India’s role in global fisheries. The productivity of fisheries has increased from the national average of 3 to 4.7 tonnes per hectare by February, 2025.
5 AIIMS launches AI based app “Never Alone” for suicide prevention and mental health of students

With an aim to reduce the stigma associated with suicide and increase awareness among students , AIIMS, New Delhi on Wednesday launched an AI-based holistic mental health and wellness program called “ Never Alone ”. The program was launched on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day. The program was launched simultaneously in collaboration with faculty and administration at AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhubaneswar and IHBAS (Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences), Shahdara . AIIMS Delhi will make this service available to all AIIMS institutes through the Global Centre of Integrative Health (GCIH) without any financial burden. The initiative is supported and guided by AIIMS Delhi alumnus and world-renowned author and integrative health expert Dr Deepak Chopra . To make students avail this facility, the respective institutes have to contact AIIMS Delhi and subscribe to this service. The Never Alone app aims to reduce cases of depression among students and prevent suicide. It is a 24×7 app, which can be accessed through WhatsApp. Through this app students can access the app at any time can get virtual and offline consultation with mental health experts at any time . It provides personalized and secure mental health checkups for only 70 paise per student per day for institutions with five thousand students.

Global rating agency Fitch has raised India’s growth forecast for the current fiscal year to 6.9% from 6.5% . The revision is supported by strong domestic demand, rising consumer spending and favourable financial conditions. Fitch Ratings said India’s goods and services tax reform will be credit positive for rated Indian companies. This is expected to boost consumption and reduce risks to the economic growth outlook, even as higher US tariffs pose a threat to export demand. According to Fitch, India’s annual growth rate is likely to reach 6.3% in FY27 . The economy will be running slightly above its potential. The agency also said the Reserve Bank of India could cut interest rates by 25 basis points by the end of this year. Meanwhile, Fitch has projected global growth to be 2.3% in 2026 due to strong momentum from China and the eurozone.

8 Indian scientists identify hidden diversity in Aspergillus section Nigri: Introduction of two new species from Western Ghats of India

Researchers at Pune -based MACS-Agarkar Research Institute , an autonomous institute of the Department of Science & Technology , Government of India , have identified two new species of Aspergillus section Nigri (commonly known as Black Aspergillus ) , Aspergillus dhakefalkari and Aspergillus patriciawiltshirei and recorded the first geographical record of two Black Aspergillus A. aculetinus and A. bruneoviolaceus from soil samples collected from the Western Ghats. These findings underscore the critical need for continued exploration and conservation of this ecologically sensitive hotspot, which has immense scientific, ecological and biotechnological significance. The genus Aspergillus comprises a diverse group of filamentous fungi that are ubiquitously distributed across various ecological niches and have immense medicinal, industrial and ecological importance. Although several Aspergillus species have been documented from the Western Ghats, reports specifically focused on members of Aspergillus section Nigri are limited, which underlines the need for further systematic exploration and taxonomic investigations using modern techniques within this section in the region.

World Suicide Prevention Day is observed globally every year on September 10 to raise awareness, promote compassion and encourage collective action to prevent suicides . World Suicide Prevention Day was initiated in 2003 by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) with the co-sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO). The day unites governments, organizations and the public with a single message-suicide is preventable. The triennial theme of World Suicide Prevention Day (2024-2026) is “ Changing the Narrative on Suicide ”.
