Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  hoisted  the Dharma Dhwaj (Dharma Dhwaj)  at the top of  the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple  in  Ayodhya , Uttar Pradesh  .   According to information provided by the Trust, the flag hoisted at the top of the Ram Temple  is 10 feet high and 20 feet long, in the shape of a right-angled triangle  . It  bears the image of the Kovidara tree  and the ‘ Om ‘ inscribed on it. This symbolises the completion of the temple construction and the beginning of a new chapter of cultural celebration and national unity. The Prime Minister visited the Saptmandir and visited the Sheshavatar Temple, one of the rarest temples dedicated to Lord Ram in the country. The Prime Minister also visited the Mata Annapurna Temple and offered prayers at the sanctum sanctorum of Ram Lalla.

2 PM Modi releases coin and postage stamp on 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur

PM Modi   attended the  350th Martyrdom Day celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in  Kurukshetra  . During the event, Prime Minister Modi released a special coin and commemorative postage stamp to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur  . PM Modi noted that during the Mughal era, Kashmiri Hindus were being forcibly converted. Amidst this crisis, a group of victims sought Guru Sahib’s help. Guru Sahib responded, “You should clearly tell Aurangzeb that if Guru Tegh Bahadur accepts Islam, we will all embrace Islam.” Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Panchajanya Memorial, built in Jyotisar to commemorate the divine conch shell of Lord Krishna. He also visited the Anubhuti Kendra in Jyotisar, where the knowledge of the Gita was imparted to the world.

3 Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced the establishment of a world-class university in the name of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur.

Punjab  Chief Minister  Bhagwant Singh Mann  announced   the establishment of a world-class university   in the name of  the ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, at Sri Anandpur Sahib  . Addressing a function to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Sri Anandpur Sahib, the Chief Minister said the university would be a true tribute to the Guru. He said the university would serve as a catalyst for extensive research on the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who made the supreme sacrifice and is a beacon of light for all humanity.

4 Centre launches CSIC 1.0, will strengthen India’s cyber security ecosystem

According to information provided by the Ministry of Electronics and IT  , Cyber ​​Security Innovation Challenge (CSIC) 1.0 has been launched  under   the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project as a landmark initiative to strengthen India’s  cybersecurity ecosystem  . S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, unveiled the concept video, website and registration portal, and CSIC 1.0 rulebook. S. Krishnan emphasized the need for a two-pronged national cybersecurity strategy, focusing on awareness of emerging threats and strengthening technological capabilities. The Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project is an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, aimed at developing human resources in the field of information security and creating general awareness about cyber hygiene/cybersecurity among the general public. The project aims to develop human resources for a safe, secure, and protected cyberspace. The project is being implemented by 50 premier academic and autonomous institutions (IITs, NITs, IIITs, C-DAC and NIELIT Centres) and technical universities and supported by C-DAC, Hyderabad and DSCI as nodal agencies.

5 Nayi Chetana 4.0 – National Campaign on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment launched by Union Ministers Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Annapurna Devi

Union Minister for Rural Development, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan  , and  Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Annapurna Devi, launched the fourth edition of the  ” Nayi Chetna – Pehal Badlaav Ki ” campaign. This national campaign aims to promote  gender equality and women’s empowerment  . The campaign aims to raise awareness about gender-based violence through community-based action, promote safe mobility for women, recognize their economic contribution, and promote shared responsibility in household chores. This nationwide campaign   is being organized by   the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM)  under the Ministry of Rural Development and will run in all states and union territories until December 23, 2025.  The campaign is being spearheaded by a vast network of self-help groups across the country. During the event, an Inter-Ministerial Joint Advisory was also issued with the joint signatures of 11 Ministries/Departments – Ministry of Women and Child Development, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Department of Justice. This initiative exemplifies the ” Whole of Government ” approach, which combines the collective strength of all ministries to eliminate gender-based discrimination and violence.

6 Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated the country’s first liquid helium cryogenic facility

 Dr. Jitendra Singh , Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Minister of State for the Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space,  visited   the Quantum Research Laboratories  at IIT Bombay  and inaugurated the institute’s new  liquid helium facility  , reaffirming the Government of India’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge technologies, marking a significant step in India’s growing ecosystem of quantum science, cryogenics, advanced materials, and next-generation computing. He highlighted that liquid helium is indispensable for  MRI systems, advanced materials, and cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM).  He said that this new facility, now dedicated to the nation and open for use by industries, universities, and research institutions, is equipped with an efficient helium recovery system, which is expected to reduce the cost of cryogenic experiments by about one-tenth of the current expenditure, while conserving one of the world’s scarcest resources.

7 Prahlad Joshi inaugurated pellet plant in Haryana

In a significant step towards promoting sustainable energy and environmental protection in India,  Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi  inaugurated  a biomass pellet plant and laid the foundation stone for a bioethanol plant in  Rewari   district  , Haryana  . Both projects will play a key role in achieving  India’s Net Zero 2070 target  and  the E20 Mission  . They aim to transform agricultural residue (crop stubble), previously considered waste, into a useful source of clean energy—benefiting both environmental protection and farmers’ incomes. The new pellet plant in Rewari will produce 240 tons of biomass pellets per day. These pellets will be used for co-firing (burning with coal) in thermal power plants, significantly reducing carbon emissions. This is in line with the Indian government’s mandatory policy requiring thermal plants to use a portion of biomass and waste as fuel.

8 Digital Security Initiative Sanchar Saathi Recovers Over 50,000 Lost and Stolen Mobile Phones

The Department of Telecommunications  said its  digital security initiative, Sanchar Saathi,  recovered  over 50,000 lost and stolen mobile phones  in October  . The Ministry of Communications said the initiative has recovered over 700,000 mobile phones across the country. The ministry said there has been a 47 percent increase in phone recoveries between June and October this year. 

9 Ajeya Warrior: India-UK exercise

The armies of India and the United Kingdom  are conducting  the joint  military exercise ‘Ajeya Warrior’  . During this, both the armies have practiced decisive action against terrorists. In this operation, Indian and UK soldiers reached the terrorist hideouts with the help of helicopters, attacked them and destroyed the terrorist hideouts and returned safely. According to the Indian Army, the India-UK joint military exercise ‘Ajeya Warrior’ is going on at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan  . Here this exercise is continuously progressing with high professional intensity.

10 Ethiopia’s Haile Gubbi volcano suddenly erupted on November 23, 2025, after 12,000 years.

 Due to the eruption of  the Haile Gubbi volcano  in Ethiopia  , all flights from Chennai to Mumbai and via Mumbai have been cancelled. Haile Gubbi is a  shield-type volcano located in  the remote  Afar region  of Ethiopia . According to scientists,  there is no record of this volcano erupting in the Holocene (several thousand years)  . It is believed to have become active again after 10,000-12,000 years. This entire area is called the Afar Rift, where  the African Plate is slowly pulling apart  . There are several volcanoes here, including  Erta Ale, which  is constantly active. The sudden eruption of Haile Gubbi is extremely important for scientists, as the reactivation of a volcano that had been dormant for such a long time could provide new information about the activities occurring deep within the rift zone.

11 India wins 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals at the Deaf Olympics in Tokyo

India  concluded   its  shooting campaign  at  the Deaf Olympics in Tokyo with  a total of 16 medals, including  seven gold, six silver, and three bronze  . Indian shooters won 16 of the 39 medals on offer over the 10-day competition. India’s most successful shooter was Mahit Sandhu  , who  won  four medals, including two gold and two silver . He was followed by Abhinav Deswal and Pranjali Prashant Dhumal, who  won   two gold and one silver . Dhanush Srikanth also  won two gold medals  in the 10m air rifle singles and mixed team events . Mohammad Murtaza Vaniya won a silver  and  a bronze medal  , and  Komal Milind Waghmare  won  two bronze medals  .  Anuya Prasad  won   the  gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event . Shaurya Saini won the silver medal in the 50m three positions,  and  Kushagra Singh Rajawat  won  the bronze medal in the 50m rifle prone event .

12 India makes its WorldSkills Asia 2025 debut with a 23-member contingent

For the first time, India officially   participated in the WorldSkills Asia competition —  Asia’s prestigious skills championship event  , bringing together the best young professionals from across the continent.   On November 24, 2025, the Ministry  of   Skill Development and Entrepreneurship  formally flagged off the 23-member Indian contingent (competing in 21 skill categories) that  will represent India at the competition, to be held in  Chinese Taipei  from  November 27, 2025. This debut marks a historic step in India’s mission to become the ” Skills Capital of the World .” It is aligned with the government’s comprehensive vision, which places occupational excellence, global competitiveness, and skills-based development at the center. These participants were selected through a national selection process conducted under the guidance of industry experts and Sector Skill Councils. The program is being conducted by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), which leads the Indian contingent, while WorldSkills India serves as the implementation and knowledge partner.

13 25 November – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women  is observed every year  on  25 November, marking the start of the 16 Days of Global Activism against Gender-Based Violence. The 2025 theme “ UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls ” highlights global concerns about rising digital violence against women and girls—such as cyberstalking, doxing, deepfakes, and coordinated online harassment.
