Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  inaugurated   the  Banjara Heritage Museum  at  Pohardevi  in   ​​Washim  , Maharashtra . The four-storey museum has 13 galleries  that depict the Banjara heritage through pictures of the movement. After reaching Washim, the Prime Minister  also paid floral tributes at the memorial of Sant Sevalal Maharaj  and  Sant Ramrao Maharaj  . Sant Sevalal and Sant Ramrao Maharaj were spiritual leaders of the Banjara community. The Prime Minister also visited and worshipped at the Jagadamba Temple at Pohardevi in ​​Washim. The PM  launched schemes related to agriculture and animal husbandry sector  worth  about Rs 23,300 crore in Washim  . Launched development projects worth a total of more than Rs 56,000 crore in Maharashtra. Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 32,800 crore in Thane. The Banjara Heritage Museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich heritage of the Banjara community. It has been established with the aim of promoting and celebrating the traditions, customs and handicrafts of the Banjaras. The museum houses an extensive collection of artifacts, textiles, jewelry and other exhibits that provide a glimpse into the life and traditions of the Banjaras.

2 PM Modi released the 18th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  has released the  18th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi  on   Saturday,  October 5. This time PM Modi has sent installments of Rs 2,000 each to the accounts of more than 9.4 crore farmers  from Washim, Maharashtra . Under this scheme, 91.5 lakh farmers of Maharashtra have received direct benefits of more than Rs 2000 crore. Under this scheme, the government gives Rs 6,000 to farmers every year in 3 installments of Rs 2,000 each. The first installment is released between April-July, the second installment between August-November and the third installment between December-March. Under the scheme, the government has so far sent an amount of more than Rs 3 lakh crore to the accounts of farmers in 17 installments. The Prime Minister released the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on June 18. Then installments of Rs 2,000 each were sent to the accounts of 9.26 crore farmers. That is, a total amount of Rs 20 thousand crore was transferred. This scheme   was started in 2019 to provide financial assistance to farmers .

3 World Health Organization approves first diagnostic test for monkeypox

The World Health Organization (WHO) has approved the first diagnostic test  for   the infectious disease  monkeypox  . The emergency use authorization hopes that the diagnostic capacity can be significantly increased in countries affected by monkeypox, where the demand for quick and accurate tests has increased. More than 8 hundred people have died from monkeypox in Africa so far, while more than 30 thousand cases have been reported. According to the African Union’s Center for Disease Control, this disease has been found in 16 countries. The most serious situation  is in the Democratic Republic of Congo  . Monkeypox spreads from infected animals to humans. Its symptoms include fever, muscle pain and large boil-like lesions on the skin.

4 Two-day Jal Jagar Mahotsav in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh

Jal Jagar Mahotsav was  started  in the Ravishankar Shukla reservoir complex near  Gangrel dam  in  Chhattisgarh  ‘s  Dhamtari district  . Apart from UNICEF, Japan and Sri Lanka,  many environmentalists of the country are also participating  in this international water conference  .

5 DRDO successfully completes three test flights of fourth generation short-range air defence system

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO)  has   successfully completed  three test flights  of  the fourth generation  short-range  air defense system . This test  was conducted at  Pokhran Field Firing Range  in  Rajasthan . In these tests, the target was hit at a high altitude and speed. This air defense system is similar to  Russia’s  S-400  . VSHORADS has been indigenously designed and developed by Research Center Imarat (RCI), Hyderabad in collaboration with DRDO and Indian companies. India successfully tested the indigenous Rudram-II air-to-ground missile in May this year.

6 Malabar maritime exercise will start from October 8 between Quad countries hosted by India

The maritime exercise Malabar  between  the Quad countries  will begin  on 08 October  in  Visakhapatnam ,  hosted by India  , in which the navies of the US, Australia and Japan  will participate. This maritime exercise will start from the port in Visakhapatnam. This naval exercise will run till October 18 in two phases with the aim of addressing common maritime challenges in the Indian Ocean and the Indo-Pacific region. The Malabar exercise began in 1992 as a bilateral naval exercise between the United States and the Indian Navy, which has now evolved into a major multilateral event.

7 World Bank will pay 1600 crore rupees to Nepal for carbon trading

 According to the agreement with  the World Bank, Nepal  will get  Rs 1600 crore from the sale of carbon  within this month  .  According to  Nepal’s Ministry of Forest and Environment, this amount is being provided to Nepal to reduce carbon dioxide  through the forests of  13 districts of Terai from 2018 to 2024.  Under the Terai Land Covering Program, Nepal will get Rs 1600 crore for storing 24 lakh tons of carbon from Bagmati River in Sarlahi district of Madhes to Mahakali River in the Indian border of Sudurpashchim Pradesh. According to Forest Ministry spokesperson Badriraj Dhungana, the World Bank will pay this amount to Nepal by the end of October.

8 RBI appointed Aviral Jain as Executive Director

The Reserve Bank of India  (  RBI)  has  appointed Aviral Jain  as  Executive Director (ED)  . RBI gave this information on its official website on October 4. Aviral Jain has more than three decades of experience in the fields of supervision, currency management, foreign exchange regulation and human resource management.

9 Adani and Google partner to promote clean energy in India

The Adani Group  has announced a new partnership under which it   will provide  renewable energy to Google from   its upcoming  solar-wind hybrid project  starting in 2025. The project, located in  KhavdaGujarat  , is one of the world’s largest renewable energy facilities, and is planned to begin commercial operations in Q3 2025.

10 PM Modi inaugurates Gaushala with Bio-CNG plant in Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  virtually   inaugurated  the bio-CNG plant  of  Lal Tipra Gaushala  in  Gwalior and  launched  various development projects worth Rs 685 crore  in  Madhya Pradesh , marking Swachhata Diwas on the occasion. Swachhata Diwas is celebrated every year on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti (October 2).  The plant has been set up in collaboration with  Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)  . The Gwalior Municipal Corporation (GMC) contributed Rs 5 crore for the construction of the plant. It is India’s first modern and self-sustaining gaushala. This gaushala, or cow shelter, can generate three tonnes of natural gas per day using 100 tonnes of cow dung with a bio-CNG plant. The plant will also produce 20 tonnes of high-quality organic manure.

11 Reliance Group partners with DHI for solar and hydropower projects in Bhutan

Anil Ambani  ‘s  Reliance Group   is making significant forays into  Bhutan  ‘s  renewable energy sector,  involving the development of  1,270 MW solar and hydropower projects . The projects will be built in a strategic partnership with Druk Holding and Investments Limited (DHI) , the commercial arm  of the Bhutanese government. As part of the partnership with Druk Holding & Investments Limited, the commercial and investment arm of the Bhutan government, the Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group will jointly develop 500 MW solar and 770 MW hydropower projects in the country.

12 Federal Bank joins hands with Bhashini to add local language support to chatbot Feddy

Federal Bank  has  signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with  Bhashini , an  AI-driven language translation platform , to  incorporate  support for local languages  ​​in  its AI chatbot Fedi . The collaboration is inspired by the RBI Innovation Hub  ‘s (RBIH) initiative for vernacular banking, which aims to make banking services more inclusive and accessible in India. Under this revamp, Fedi will now be able to assist users in 14 Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, and Marathi. The move is considered a significant step towards eliminating language barriers in financial services.
