Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the next phase of the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme, ” Vikasit Udan, ” in Jodhpur , Rajasthan on Saturday . He also inaugurated the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport . Built at a cost of ₹480 crore, the new terminal building is designed to handle 2 million passengers annually. Inspired by Rajasthan’s royal heritage, the terminal’s architecture blends traditional elements like arches and windows with modern design. Energy-efficient systems, water conservation measures, and green building practices are key features. The terminal is targeted to achieve a 5-star GRIHA rating. Launched in October 2016, UDAN has operationalized 669 routes so far . 95 airports, heliports, and water aerodromes have been connected through this scheme, benefiting over 16.6 million passengers. Building on this success, the Union Cabinet approved the revised UDAN scheme on March 25, 2026 . About Rs 29,000 crore will be spent on this scheme over the next 10 years , which will give impetus to the civil aviation sector and further the goal of ‘Developed India 2047’.

The Prime Minister dedicated India’s first greenfield integrated refinery and petrochemical complex to the nation at Pachpadra in Balotra . This represents a historic achievement in the country’s energy and petrochemical sector. The greenfield refinery and petrochemical complex is a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and the Government of Rajasthan. This complex, with a capacity of 9 million metric tons per annum, has been established with an investment of over ₹79,450 crore . Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stone for the second phase of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project, costing over ₹13,000 crore . The second phase will develop a 41-kilometer long north-south metro corridor from Prahladpura to Todi Mor. The Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the Churu-Sadulpur and Churu-Ratangarh railway doubling projects and the four-laning of National Highway 125-A, Jodhpur Ring Road Section-II. He also dedicated to the nation the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited. Shri Modi inaugurated a transmission line constructed at a cost of over Rs 1,900 crore for power evacuation from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). He also laid the foundation stone for a 530-km long power transmission system for the Rajasthan REZ.

The CG Semi OSAT facility in Sanand will strengthen the chip manufacturing ecosystem, promote technological self-reliance, and consolidate India’s position in the global semiconductor value chain. The plant will manufacture legacy chips such as QFN and QFB, as well as cutting-edge FC-BGA and FC-CSP chips , meeting the needs of automotive, electronics, industrial resources, 5G communications, and power applications. The Prime Minister handed over the first chip shipment to global giant Renesas. CG Semi Private Limited, a subsidiary of CG Power & Industrial Solutions Limited, has set up this OSAT facility in Sanand with an investment of ₹7,600 crore . Japan ‘s Renesas Electronics and Thailand ‘s Stars Microelectronics are also participating in the project.

The medals were presented at a ceremony that recognised the professionalism, operational excellence and dedicated service of the Indian contingent under UN peacekeeping operations. The event was attended by senior officials of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in Congo – MONUSCO, representatives from Force Headquarters, military commanders and other distinguished guests.

The People’s Operating System (LOKOS), developed under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) , is a web- and mobile-based digital platform aimed at end-to-end digitization of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their federations . DAY-NRLM is the central government’s flagship poverty alleviation program, promoting self-employment, skill-based employment, and sustainable livelihoods for poor rural households. LOKOS provides a comprehensive digital solution for SHGs and community-based organizations by digitally managing member records, savings, loans, repayments, financial transactions, livelihoods, and various convergence initiatives. LOKOS has reduced reliance on paper records and enabled real-time monitoring of SHG financial transactions. This has significantly improved transparency, accountability, and efficiency. The platform records approximately ₹200,000 crore worth of financial transactions annually within the SHG network. Its web application is designed for administrators, e-accountants and approval officers, while the mobile application facilitates the recording and management of activities of community-based organizations at the grassroots level.
