1.Radhakrishnan Nair appointed independent director at ICICI Bank :-

The Board of Directors of ICICI Bank has appointed Radhakrishnan Nair as the Additional Director of the Bank for five years. The bank gave its information today. The bank said in regulatory information that this appointment is subject to the approval of shareholders.

It is also an independent director of three units of Nair Bank – ICIC Prudential Life Insurance Company, ICICI Prudential Trust and ICICI Securities Primary Dealership. He is also director in many other companies.

Nair has nearly 40 years of experience working in the banking sector. In August 1976, he started working with the Corporation Bank in the banking sector.

 

2.Coca-Cola India launches Aquarium Gluccharg and Minute Made Vitingo Launch :-

Aquarius gluccharges are made from glucose, essential minerals (potassium, sodium, calcium) and fruit juice. With Fruit Juice, this non-coated, low-sugar beverage will be available in a pack of 200 ml for 10 rupees. Similarly, Minute Vitingo is a product made from a special formula that removes micro-neutral elements and malnutrition deficiencies. According to the company, this formula has been given the strength of Iron, Vitamin A, C, B2, B12, Zinc and Folic Acid.

 

3.The National Conference of 244 new districts will be organized under the Beti Bachao, Beti Practice (BBBP) scheme :-

Related imageThe Ministry of Women and Child Development will hold a national conference of 244 new districts under the Beti Bachao , Beti Teacho (BBBP) scheme in New Delhi tomorrow . The one-day conference will include nodal officers, state nodal officers and senior officials of 244 districts. Central Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Menaka Sanjay Gandhi will be the Chief Guest, while Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Dr. Virendra Kumar will be the special guest.

 

4.JEE (Chief) Examination of the students of Navodaya Vidyalaya in the year 2018 :-

5.Fourth Regional Conference on Sophisticated, Strengthening and Digital Infrastructure of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank started in Bangalore   :-

Image result for Research and Information SystemWith the cooperation of the Research and Information System (RIS) for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the developing countries of India, the Ministry of Finance organized a fourth Regional Conference on “state-of-the-art, strong and digital infrastructure” in Bangalore. The two-day conference is being organized before the third annual meeting of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which will be hosted by the Indian Government on 25th and 26th June, 2018 in Mumbai. During the conference, representatives of reputed representatives of academic institutions and civil society organizations, academicians and experts from different fields expressed their views on how the institutional approach can be adopted for cutting-edge and digital infrastructure in India.

 

6.EPFO launches ‘View Pension Passbook’ service for pensioners through Umeang App :-

Image result for EPFOEmployees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), which provides various types of e-services to its members or stakeholders, has now started a new service through ‘Umang Ap’. When clicking the ‘View passbook’ option, the relevant pensioner has to enter the PPO number and his birthday. After successful verification of these information, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number of the respective pensioner. After registering this OTP, the ‘Pensioner Passbook’ will show details of related pensioner such as his name, birthdays and previous pension amount deposited in his account. It is also available to download the entire pass book details according to the financial year.

 

7.Shubhaman Gill and captain Karthik beat Kolkata to win, defeating Chennai by 6 wickets :-

8.Jain and Buddhist circuits will be spent on 113 crore, this city will join :-

Related image113.27 crores will be spent on the development of Jain and Buddhist circuits in Bihar. This information was given in a high-level review meeting about the development of tourism in Bodh Gaya.

In the meeting held on Tuesday, the progress of the work done under Prasad scheme in the construction of the Cultural Center in Bodhgaya and the Prasad scheme in Patna Sahib and surrounding areas has been reviewed. It was told that under the Jain Circuit, Vaishali, Ara, Patna, Rajgir, Pavpuri, Champpuri etc. have to be developed in Bihar as a virtual circuit. For this, Rs. 40.94 lakhs will be spent on installing signage and Rs. 11.88 lakhs for battery operated vehicles. Rs. 407.23 lakhs on sound and light show and Rs. 170.47 lakhs will be spent on the construction of the circus path. On the way of the circuit, the scheme has been approved for public convenience center, passenger for benches, solar street lights, parking etc.

 

9.India wants to borrow more than ADB, Subhash Chandra Garg will meet Takheiko Naoko :-

According to ADB’s Strategy 2030, meeting with Garg will also discuss changes in its priorities. India will support ADB’s plan in which it will provide more resources for poverty alleviation and projects dealing with climate change. ADB will invest $ 3 billion in India in one year. Garg, who came to the ADB board of governors meeting, said that we want ADB to increase the amount of loan. ADB has also been supporting India. Right now he has committed a $ 3 billion investment commitment in India.

11.The Cabinet approved the establishment of twenty AIIMS and upgradation of seventy five medical colleges across the country :-

PMO tweeted that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most liked leader in the world leaders on Facebook. In the matter of popularity, PMO India, along with Prime Minister Modi, is ranked fourth on Facebook.
