1.Shah of Saudi Arabia sacked the army chief and several other commanders :-

Shah Salman of Saudi Arabia has dismissed the army chief and several other commanders under a major event. Referring to several royal orders, the government media has said the termination of the services of army chief General Abdul Rehman bin Saleh al-Baidyan. Official Saudi Press Agency has said that Fayyad al-Ruwaili has been appointed as Army Chief in place of General Abdul Rehman.

Shah Salam Khan, the son of Shah Salman Khan, is the Defense Minister of the country and he is trying to strengthen his grip on power in recent months.

 

2.Indian boxers won 11 medals while performing in the boxing tournament :-

In the 69th Strengja Memorial Boxing Tournament in Sophia, Bulgaria, India has won 11 gold medals including two gold, three silver and six bronze. On the last day of the tournament, in 75 kg weight category, Krishna won gold medal by defeating American boxer Troy Isle. Amit Pangal won gold in the 49kg category by defeating Said Moradaji of Morocco. M.C. Marycom, Seema Punia and Gaurav Saulanki had to be satisfied with silver medals.

Vikas Krishna was chosen as the best boxer of the tournament.

 

3.The goal of lending one hundred and ten trillion rupees: Finance Minister :-

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that in the next financial year, it is worth achieving the goal of providing one hundred and one trillion rupees loan. He said that this will help in doubling the income of farmers by 2022. He was addressing the meeting of the Board of Directors of National Agricultural and Rural Development Bank – NABARD in New Delhi.

 

4.Information and Broadcasting Minister Annual Reference Book India 2018 and India 2018 Released :-

Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani released the annual reference book India 2018 and India 2018. Mrs. Irani has said that these books have authentic information about the government’s plans and achievements in various fields. He said that e-version of the book will also be available with hard copy of the book. He said that this book will benefit people, especially researchers and students. He said that I know that these books are not just reference books for them who are doing administrative studies. Rather, there is reference book for research and especially the whole community community.

The publication department of the Ministry has published this book in English and Hindi.

 

5.Government plans to cut half of NCERT’s curriculum for the all-round development of students: Prakash Javadekar :-

The Center is planning to reduce the curriculum of National Academic Research and Training Council (NCERT). Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi said that the NCERT and Human Resource Development Ministry have sought suggestions within half a month regarding the halving of the curriculum from all the stakeholders including teachers.

He said that we have asked the NCRT to evaluate the current curriculum and how much of it will be kept out of it and how much to be removed, and we have also asked the educational parties, especially teachers, academics, NGOs and parents on their website He has sought his opinion.

 

6.Center releases financial assistance to flood affected states :-

Under the chairmanship of Home Minister Rajnath Singh, a high level committee related to central assistance has approved the central assistance of 17 billion 11 crore rupees for Bihar. This assistance was given in view of the flood in the state last year. The committee has sanctioned Rs 10.55 crore for flood affected Gujarat. Approval amount has also been sanctioned for West Bengal, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Due to the damage caused by cyclone Oki, Tamil Nadu will get a billion rupees 33 billion and Kerala will get a billion rupees 69 crore.

 

7.Bichung Bhutia resigns from Trinamool Congress :-

Famous football player, Baichung Bhutia, resigned from the Trinamool Congress. In a tweet message he said that all political and official posts of TMC are resigning.

 

8.India’s 227 players to take part in Gold Coast Games :-

India’s 227-member team will participate in the Commonwealth Games from April 4 to 15 in the Gold Coast of Australia. This was stated during a program in presence of Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and players of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Dr. Narendra Batarra. On this occasion, Rathore and Batra also unveiled the opening and closing ceremony of the Indian team and the play kit.

Indian team comprises 123 men and 104 women players. The IOA president said that in the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games we won 64 medals. But this time there is a complete hope that the number of medals in Gold Coast will be higher than Glasgow.

 

9.A unique exhibition exhibiting 13 unseen copies of ‘Holy Quran’ was inaugurated at the National Museum of New Delhi :-

A reputable cultural organization under the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India -National Museum- for the first time written in various manuscript styles and is performing a collection of ‘Holy Quran’ written in various eras from the 7th century to the 19th century. This exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Naseem Akhtar, former curator (manuscript) of the National Museum. The exhibition ‘Holy Quran’ was shown from 27 February 2018 to 31 March 2018.
