Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said that there is hope for investment commitments of 12,000 billion rupees for the state in the ongoing investor summit here. This investment is likely to be in defense, airspace, infrastructure and gems and jewelery.
He said investment agreements will be signed with more than two dozen companies in the next two days. There is a possibility of investment in almost every sector, including airfields, logistics and electric vehicle manufacturing and service areas.
Fadnavis told reporters here on the second day of the ‘Magnetic Maharashtra’ Global Investor Summit here that some of the big investments included the agreement of e-car manufacturing in the state with Italian sports car maker Lamborghini and Kinetic.
Apart from this, the Gem and Jewelery Export Promotion Council will develop a gem and jewelery park near Mumbai with an investment of Rs 14,000 crore.
Fadnavis said, “According to the present, we think we will sign investment agreements of 10-12 thousand billion rupees.”
