1.Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated 20 Ghats in Kanpur and Bithoor :-

Union Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation, Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister, Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated 20 Ghats of newly built and repaired Ganga in Kanpur and Bithoor. On this occasion, he also announced new measures to get the pollution affected areas affected by industrial pollution in Jajmau and Sisamau in Kanpur. He said that under these measures 20 MLD capacity sewage treatment plant has been approved in Jajmau at an estimated cost of 554 crores. He said that in the same way, the dirty water drain that falls in the river in Sisamau will be fully sealed by this year. The water of 140 MLD sewage fell from this gutter in the Ganges river. 80 MLD water of this nullah has been diverted to the Binangwa sewage treatment plant. The rest of the water will also be sent to the plant by October this year.

 

2.Under the SWEDHD Darshan scheme 15 projects of the Ministry of Tourism of Rs 1301.47 crore covering the first project “Northeast Circuit Development: Imphal and Khongjong” covering all the North-eastern states inaugurated in Manipur :-

Dr. Najma A., Governor of Manipur Heptullah will inaugurate “North-Eastern Circuit Development: Imphal and Khongjong” project under the Swadesh Darshan scheme of the Ministry of Tourism in Imphal. On this occasion, Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh, Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge) Shri K.J. Alfonz and the Central Tourism Secretary Mrs Rashmi Verma will be present. This is the first project to be inaugurated under Swadesh Darshan Yojana.

Swadesh Darshan scheme was launched in 2014-15 and till now the Ministry has sanctioned 70 projects of Rs 5,708.88 crore to 29 states and Union Territories under the scheme. The project to be inaugurated tomorrow is Rs. 72.30 crores and the Ministry of Tourism approved it in September, 2015. Two sites in the project- Kangla Fort and Khongjong have been covered.

 

3.New Chairman of the Electricity Appellate Tribunal :-

Mrs. Justice Manjula Chellur took oath here as the Chairman of the Power Appellate Tribunal in the Ministry of Power here . Earlier, Mrs Justice Manjula Chellur was the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.

Judicial Member Justice K. N. Patil , Technical Member Mr. S.D. Dubey , Shri I.J. Kapoor and Mr. B. N. Talukdar was present on this occasion. Shri M.G., President, Tribunal Bar Association Ramchandran assured the Bench to complete cooperation on behalf of the members of the Bar in the daily working hours.

 

4.Retail inflation based on the Consumer Price Index was 4.17 per cent in July, 2018 :-

The Central Statistical Office (CSO), Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, released the inflation data based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July, 2018 today. Meanwhile, the CPI-based inflation rate for rural areas was 4.11 per cent (Provisional), which was 2.41 per cent in July, 2017. Similarly, CPI-based inflation for urban areas was pegged at 4.32 percent (Provisional) in July, 2018, which was 2.17 percent in July 2017. These rates were 4.93 and 4.85 percent (final) respectively in June, 2018.

The Central Statistics Office today released the inflation data based on the Consumer Food Prices Index (CFPI) for July, 2018. During this period, CFPI-based inflation was 2.18 percent (Provisional) for rural areas, which was 0.07 in July, 2017. Similarly, CFPI based inflation for urban areas was pegged at (-) 0.36 per cent (Provisional) in July, 2018, which was 0.99 per cent (-) in July, 2017. These rates were 3.66 and 1.56 percent (final) respectively in June, 2018.

 

5.India’s ‘Chandrayaan-2’ will be launched on January 3 next year under the Second Chandra Mission :-

India will launch ‘Chandrayaan-2’ under its second moon mission on January 3 next year. It will be sent to the moon with a lender and a rover. Sivan, president of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) told reporters in Bangalore that ISRO is planning to launch Chandrayaan-II mission on January 3 next year, but this vehicle can be launched on the moon surface by March 2019. . Chandrayaan-2, costing Rs 100 crore, will be launched a decade later.

 

6.Center decides to release Rs 66 thousand crore for forest cover :-

The Central Government has decided to issue an amount of more than Rs. 66 thousand crore for the expansion of forest area in the country. This amount was given in the last ten years by the consumer agencies as compensation to the government, who had obtained permission to use industry in forest land or use it for basic facilities.

The Center has notified the amount of deposits used by States and Union Territories. There is also a provision for setting up forestry and forest conservation authority.

It has been stated in the rules that 80 percent of the compensation received as compensation for the State is being done by State Governments, giving assistance in the natural development of forests, measures to prevent forest fires, pest control, soil conservation and wildlife habitats. 13 will spend on functions.

The remaining twenty percent of the amount will be spent on 11 listed works of infrastructure related to forest development and wildlife conservation.

 

7.With the first session of the fifteenth national assembly in Pakistan, the process of handing over power to the new government begins :-

The first session of Pakistan’s 15th National Assembly is going on in Islamabad. Outgoing Speaker Ayaz Sadiq sworn in 322 members of the House of 342 members. With this, the process of handing over power to the new government has also started. The election of the new president and vice president will be on Wednesday.

New Prime Minister will be elected under the supervision of the new president. Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf has nominated Imran Khan for the post of Prime Minister and he will take oath on Saturday. The party emerged as the biggest party by winning 116 seats in the last month’s elections.

 

8.Reserve Bank sold $ 6.184 billion in June :-

The RBI also sold the dollar in the month of June. The Reserve Bank has done this for the third consecutive month. According to the Reserve Bank figures, it sold $ 6.184 billion in the spot market in the month of July.

According to the data, during the critical month, the Reserve Bank bought $ 4.020 billion while it sold 10.204 billion dollars. In June 2017, the Reserve Bank was a net buyer of the dollar. He then sold $ 4.971 billion in the spot market and bought 1.680 billion dollars.

 

9.Railway Minister Piyush Goyal announces fifty percent reservation for women in RFF recruitment :-

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has said that the Railway Protection Force – in the RPF, will give fifty percent reservation to women in the appointments. Inaugurating various railway projects in Patna, Shri Goyal said that about ten thousand jobs will be created in the RPF. He said that to maintain transparency, computerization of the entire recruitment process would be done.

The Railway Minister said that CCTV cameras will be installed in six thousand railway stations and important trains. Shri Goyal handed over the documents relating to the land of Patna-Digha division to Bihar Government. Mr. Goyal inaugurated the Raxaul-Narkatiaganj Broadggereel line through video conferencing and flagged off the train on this section.

 

10.Improvement of Jodhpur railway station in cleanliness, Patna, Dehradun in hygiene :-

In the case of sanitation this year, the relative position of railway stations has improved in comparison to last year. Most of the improvements have been shown at the railway stations of Rajasthan. But most of the stations except the few in UP and Bihar are already dirty.
Most of the stations in Delhi and NCR have been affected. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday announced the cleanliness survey ranking of 2018 of 400 stations of A1 and A category of Indian Railways. He said that the next 600 sanitation survey of the stations will be conducted.

This year, two stations in Rajasthan have come to the top in cleanliness in the survey. Jodhpur on the first number and Jaipur on the second number. Both cities are important in terms of tourism. Jodhpur was ranked 17th in the A1 stations in the Cleanliness Survey of the year 2017. While Jaipur got 8th place Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati has been in the A1 category, defeating Jammu Tawi and securing third place.

 

11.Pune at first and Delhi at number 65 in list of cities with amenities :-

In the list of 111 cities better able to settle, the capital Delhi has slipped to 65th rank. Except Chandigarh of North India, no other city in any state has managed to make the top 20 list. Pune is the top most cities with the highest amenities, where basic amenities are available in pure air, water, safety, safety, employment, housing, transport, education, health, sanitation and robustness. Madhya Pradesh’s Indore and Bhopal have got place in the top ten list. While three more cities in Maharashtra, Navi Mumbai, Greater Mumbai and Thane have made it to the top ten. Chandigarh is the fifth city in the northern region.

 

12.’Sanju’ Dhoom in IFFM Melbourne Awards, Rani Mukherjee’s Best Actress :-
