2. Indian Navy sends submarine rescue vessel to assist in search and rescue of missing Indonesian submarine

Amnesty International recently released a global review of capital punishment . According to the report published by Amnesty International , about 483 death sentences in 18 countriesWere entered. In 2019, the recorded death penalty was 657. The number of death penalty has increased by 26% in 2020 as compared to 2019. The maximum death penalty was awarded in China, Iran, Egypt, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. About 16 women out of 483 have been given the death penalty. They were from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Oman. Countries like India, Qatar, Oman and Taiwan have reintroduced the death penalty. The death penalty incidence in Iraq has fallen from 100 in 2019 to 45 in 2020. The death penalty in Saudi Arabia has been reduced by 85%. Countries used hanging, electrocution, shooting and lethal injection as methods of capital punishment. Iran sentenced 3 people to death while committing crimes when they were under 18 years of age. China, Iran and Saudi Arabia sentenced at least 30 people to death for drug-related offenses. The Asia-Pacific countries that carried out the death penalty in 2020, They were India, China, Bangladesh, North Korea, Vietnam and Taiwan. Pakistan, Singapore and Japan did not report any death penalty incident. China recorded the highest number of capital punishment incidents in the world. However, the exact number of capital punishment in China is unknown. The Chinese government keeps the death penalty data secret.

18. India’s crude oil production declined

19. ICRA forecasts India’s GDP to fall by 0.5% to 10.5% in FY22
