3.Ministry of Textiles unveiled ‘Fabric of Unity’:-

Union Textile Minister Smriti Jubin Irani  unveiled the Fabric of Unity at the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in Gurgaam. The Minister flagged off Unity March on this occasion. Smt. Jubin Irani administers the oath of national unity to the office officials and staff of Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) and students of Upper Training and Design Center (ATDC).

The Textile Minister called the Garment Export Promotion Council (AEPC) that he would spread the notion of Unity of Fabrics in his offices, which would be a true tribute to Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Mrs. Irani told AEPC that she should display the entire history and textile designs of the then princely states that were included in the Indian Union by Sardar Patel.

On this occasion, the Minister discussed the package of Rs 6000 crore given by the Indian government in 2016 for the development of textile and apparel sector to bring more skilled workers to the organized sector.

The maximum current limit in all categories has been reduced from 1.5 times to 1.4 times.

Those trains which have a low number of passenger (2A, 3A, CC etc.), and the number of passengers in less than 60 percent of the passengers in a particular category (4 days before the train was scheduled to leave at the scheduled time), Flexi With the Fair, a final discount of 20 percent on the final fare will be given on all trains. Also 10 percent

discount will be given according to the table :

·        Up to 70 percent occupancy : 20 percent on final rent

·        70 to 80 percent occupancy : 10 percent on final rent

·        Up to 80% occupancy : Not applicable

·         After making necessary changes in the passenger reservation system, the advance reservation period (ARP) i.e. change from 4 months, will be applicable for 6 months on experimental basis. These can be further extended after the evaluation of nazits.
