In the mythological texts, the
mention of Hampi is also mentioned in the earlier periods of the Vijayanagar empire. Many inscriptions written during Emperor Ashoka’s rule have also been found in Hampi. Historically important hampee town is also mentioned in mythological texts. In other texts with the Ramayana, this city has been described as Panda Devi shrine area. Goddess Parvati is also called Panda. It is believed that Ram and Lakshman had met here with complete Vanar army including Hanuman, Sugriva.

Famous for its architecture, Hampi
Hampi is a pinnacle of historical and religious heritage. There are more than 1,600 Hindu temples, monuments of palaces, forts and preserved stones. These monuments are unique in terms of architecture. There are several temples of Hindu deities, including Virupaksha, Vijay Finala, Hemakuta Temple etc. There are also temples of Narasimha Dev with Lord Ganesha. In many temples, people still go to worship.

Nearly 2 lakh people are getting employment from the famous Kite Festival of Gujarat, famous in India and abroad. Also, turnover of crores is also available every year. During the festival, Gujarat’s culture and art get a chance to be impressed.
