Former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court Justice Rajendra Menon has been recommended to be appointed as the chairperson of the Armed Forces Tribunal by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Ranjan Gogoi. He will succeed Justice Virender Singh, who retired on 6 October. Justice Rajendra Menon has also been the Chief Justice of Patna High Court. The Armed Forces Tribunal was established in New Delhi in 2009.
