1.United Nations Champion of the Earth Award to Prime Minister Modi :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been honored with the prestigious ‘Champion of the Earth’ award by the United Nations (UN). With Prime Minister Modi, the French President Immanuel Macroon has also been honored with this award. Both the leaders received this award under the policy leadership category to enhance cooperation on their efforts and environmental action related to the International Solar Coalition. At the same time, the pledge to eliminate Prime Minister Modi’s one-time use of plastic from India has been considered as important. French President Macrocon has also been appreciated on the global agreement for the environment. It is worth mentioning that the champion of the meaning is the prestigious environmental award of the United Nations.

4.Ahmedabad and Indore airports, the best national airport in the two different categories :-

Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Airport has the distinction of being the first world heritage city of Ahmedabad. The airport’s geographical location helps connect it to major domestic and international destinations. The airport got 4.8 points on the five-digit ASQ rating scale. In the year 2017, the International Airport Council awarded it the Asia-Pacific region’s best airport award.

 

5.The Indian government will celebrate the birth anniversary of the mother of the mother of Gwalior, Smt. Vijaya Raje Scindia :-

From 11 October 2018 to 11 October 2019, the whole year will be celebrated. The Indian government has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Mrs. Vijaya Raje Scindia, the mother of Gwalior from October 11, 2018 to October 11, 2019. Under the leadership of the Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, the 12-member National Implementation Committee (NIC) will frame out the activities and programs for the year-long celebrations. During the ceremony, there is a proposal to issue a commemorative coin and commemorative postage stamp of Rs. 100. In other activities, seminars, lectures, publications and programs will be organized, which will be based on women’s empowerment.

Smt. Vijaya Raje Scindia, popular as the mother of Gwalior, was born in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh on October 11, 1919. After completing his education, he was impressed with the independence movement and joined the fight for independence. Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia believed in educating girls and women empowerment. After the independence of India a new era of girls’ education was inaugurated. On the basis of Indian values, religions and culture they have done a lot of work to educate girls and women to fulfill the requirement of universal education.

Mrs. Vijaya Raje Scindia remained a Member of Parliament for many years between 1957 and 1998.

 

6.Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad will launch Excellence Center for Data Analytics   :-

Union Minister of Information Technology and Information Technology Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad will launch the Center for Excellence for Data Analytics (CEDA) in New Delhi on September 28, 2018. On this occasion, the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology and the dignitaries of the Central Government will be present.

National Informatics Center (NIC) and National Informatics Center Services Incorporated (NICSI) have jointly established an Excellence Center for Data Analytics in order to expand the data capacity generated in the governance processes and data in overall governance improvement Can be used.

Excellence Center for Data Analytics (CEDA) has been established to accelerate the adoption of leading analytics and machine learning capabilities. For this, the Center of Excellence will be the center of expertise and excellent activity in the field of data analytics. This center will provide quality assurance data analytics services to the government departments at all levels and will identify the appropriate technology in this work and deploy specialists.

 

7.Indian Competitive Commission (CCI) imposed a fine on Esot S.P.A. and Essot Asia Pacific Diagnostic Pvt Ltd for misusing its supremacy :-

The Indian Competition Commission (CCI) has imposed a penalty of Rs 9.33 lakh on Esot S.P.A. and Essot Asia Pacific Diagnostic Pvt Ltd for misusing its supremacy in the supply of direct standing / leaned MRI machines.

On the information filed by House of Diagnostics LLP (HOD), the CCI conveyed its final order on September 27 , 2018 .

The House of Diagnostics LLP attached to the Medical Diagnostic Imaging Services, in addition to other things, had filed the information in the CCI against Asot accusing the supply of old machines with different types of construction related flaws. The House of Diagnostics LLP also alleged that the Essot has been charging huge quantities of the spare parts supplied, and in addition, Essot has also refused to discharge its obligations under the contract. Not only that , Essot has also been accused of making changes in the unilateral manner in Essential Terms of Contract.

 

8.Central Government enhances its contribution in State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) :-

The Government of India has made an important decision to increase its contribution in the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) from 75 per cent to 90 per cent, which will be considered effective only from April 1, 2018. The Central Government will contribute 90% in the SDRF, whereas all the states will contribute 10%. As a result of this decision, additional contribution of Central Government in SDRF will be Rs 1690.35 crore in FY 2018-19 and Rs 1774.67 crore in FY 2019-20.

So that rescue and relief expenses could be arranged during any notified disaster. SDRF has been created in each state in which the Central Government has contributed 75 per cent for the general category states each year and contributed 90 per cent to special category states of the hilly areas.

 

9.Tourism Minister has given National Tourism Awards, 2016-17, Incredible India Mobile App Launched :-

Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge) Shri K.J. Alfonz presented the National Tourism Award in New Delhi today on the occasion of World Tourism Day, 2016-17. He also launched the Incredible India Mobile App and Incredible India Tourist Facility Provider Certification Program.

Tourism Minister said that in 2019, India will host official tour day festival for UNDTO. The subject of World Tourism Day 2018 is “Tourism and Digital Transformation”. The Tourism Minister discussed various digital initiatives taken by the Ministry to promote tourism. It includes launching new Incredible India website, 24×7 chat bots interface on this site, launch new website on Buddhist religion in India.

The Minister of Tourism said that the Ministry of Tourism has implemented a voluntary scheme for acceptance of the motto of the service from September 25, 2018. Its objective is to see the motel class as a component of the overall tourism product and to set standards of facilities and motel services.

 

10.Startup India Maharashtra Tour will start on October 3  :-

Union Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu will launch the startup India Maharashtra Tour from the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on October 3. Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Labor and Skill Development Minister of the State, Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar will also be present on this occasion.

After successful in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, startup India visit is going to start in Maharashtra now. The tour is being organized jointly by the Industrial Policy and Promotion Department, Invest India, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department, Maharashtra Government and the State’s Innovation Society.

In the startup India tour, 23 vans will be included in which all the facilities will be available for the people to display their startup idea. The journey ends with 14 boot camps in 16 districts of the state and ends on November 3, 2018 in Nagpur. The startup policy of startup India and Maharashtra government will be presented in boot camps and workshops will also be organized. During this time, a session will also be held to choose the best ideas and startups. Selected ideas and startups will be announced at the conclusion of the trip to Nagpur.

11.Sale of election bonds in 29 authorized branches of State Bank of India from 01 October 2018 to 10 October 2018 :-

The Government of India has notified the Election Bond Plan 2018 through the Gazette Notification No. 20 , dated January 2, 2018. According to the provisions of the scheme, the election bond can be bought by a person who is a citizen of India or a citizenry, any person can purchase election bonds jointly or with the other persons. Only those political parties can purchase election bonds which are registered under Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (45 of 1951) and who have not received less than one percent of the total votes cast in the previous Lok Sabha or Assembly. Such political parties will be eligible to buy election bonds. The eligible political parties can redeem the election bonds through an authorized bank account.

In the fifth phase of the sale, the State Bank of India has the right to issue and issue election bonds through its 29 authorized branches (enclosed enclosed) and redeem them. Its period will be effective from 01 October 2018 to 10 October 2018.

 

12.Center sanctioned construction of six lakh 26 thousand cheap houses for the urban poor :-

Will be made in Simultaneously, the sanction for housing construction under this scheme has more than 60 lakh houses. Keeping in mind the worsening condition of Kerala due to heavy floods, the Ministry has decided to issue a sum of Rs 486 crore under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme.

 

13.Government imposes customs duty on imports of 19 essential items :-

Government has increased customs duty on 19 items including aircraft fuel, AC and refrigerators for the purpose of curb imports of non-essential items. New rates have come into effect from midnight. The Ministry of Finance has said that this step has been taken under the five point measures of the government to prevent rising current account deficit and capital out of capital. The government has also announced five percent import duty on aircraft fuels. Earlier there was no import duty on this. This step has been taken to prevent the import of non-essential commodities and to reduce the current account deficit. The import duty on AC, refrigerator and washing machine with capacity of less than 10 kg has doubled to 20 percent. Apart from this, import duty on speaker and radial car tires has been increased by 15 percent and on shoes 25 percent. Apart from this, import duty has also been increased in the jewelery, kitchen and some plastic goods and suitcases.

 

14.Object and service tax network – GSTN approved to convert into a government-owned company :-

The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal to convert the goods and services tax network – GSTN into a government-owned company. According to this, 51 percent owned by NGOs in GSTN will be acquired on the basis of equality by central and state governments.

 

15.SBI and Apollo Healthcare launches Co-branded credit cards, these facilities will be available :-

State Bank of India (SBI) and Apollo Healthcare announced on Wednesday a partnership to launch co-branded credit cards. Apollo claims that this is the first co-branded credit card of its kind in the Healthcare Segment, which will benefit customers in a health check-up and consultancy with the doctor.
