1.Agriculture Minister Tomar released Spices Statistics at a Glance 2021, a book related to spices

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has released the book Spice Statistics at a Glance 2021 related to spices, their production, products, exports, imports, prices and production areas in the country.Released. This book is published by Directorate of Areca and Spices Development for collection and compilation of data related to estimated area and production of spices at national level. This book throws light on the growth in the spice sector during the last seven years. Spice production in the country has increased from 67 lakh tonnes in 2014-15 to over 106 lakh tonnes in 2020-21. Its annual growth rate is 7.9%. There has been a significant increase in the production of major spices like cumin, garlic, ginger, fennel, coriander, fenugreek, red chilli and turmeric. The export of spices has increased from about 9 lakh tonnes to 1.6 million tonnes during this period. In value terms, the annual growth rate of export of spices during this period has been 10.5%.

2.DRDO successfully test-fires indigenous surface-to-surface missile ‘Pralaya’ off Odisha coast

Defense Research and Development Organization DRDO has surface-to-surface capable missile to kill the Holocaust tested successfully. Orissa coast on doctor AP Abdul Kalam Island has tested the indigenously developed missile. It is also possible to make sudden changes in the path and direction of this missile. The missile is equipped with a solid propellant rocket motor and uses several new technologies. It can have a range of 150 to 500 km and can also be launched from a mobile launcher.

Indigenously developed next generation Armored Military Engineering Test Vehicle – AERV was inducted into the Army. Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane while inducting these vehicles into the Army at the Bombay Engineering Group ‘s function in Pune said that their use would give the Army more strength in its operations. Defense Research and Development Organization- DRDO designed the AERV and jointly manufactured by Ordnance Factory, Pedak and Bharat Electronics Limited, Pune . This system will enhance the existing engineering military transport capabilities of the Indian Army and will prove useful during future military operations.

5.PV Sindhu among 6 appointed members of BWF Athletes Commission by 2025

Former world champion PV Sindhu has been appointed as a member of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Athletes’ Commission along with five others . The Chairman and the Vice-Chairman will be decided from among the six members. The chairman of the BWF Athletes Commission will become a member of the council until the next election in 2025, following a revision process required of all council members. Iris Wang (USA), Robin Tebeling (NED), Gracia Poli (INA), Kim Soeong (COR), Pusarla V Sindhu (IND) and Zheng Si Wei (CHN) have been appointed as members of the BWF Athletes Commission .

6.First Teachers University to be set up in Delhi

Delhi Cabinet by Delhi University Teachers (Teachers University) approved the establishment of. This university will offer a four-year integrated teacher education program after class 12 . Program in BA & B.Ed , BSc & B.Ed , and BCom & B.Edcourses will be included. Following these courses, those enrolled in the university will also be linked to Delhi government schools for training purposes. The government will introduce the “Delhi Teachers University Bill 2021” for this in the next session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. Delhi Teachers University will be a public university. It will be dedicated to produce excellent quality teachers for Delhi in various school phases. University students will also be linked to Delhi Government Schools for the entire duration of the course to gain practical experience. It will help the students to acquire excellent practical knowledge apart from theoretical knowledge.

7.Punjab CM tags Jagannath Rath Yatra as ‘State Festival’

NITI Aayog launched the first of its kind Vernacular Innovation Program-VIP under Atal Innovation Mission . Under this program innovators and entrepreneurs have been provided with the facility of innovation mechanism in 22 mother tongues . This will give them an opportunity to learn about each other’s language and culture. The objective of Atal Innovation Mission is to provide equal opportunities to mother tongue innovators. VIP Atal Innovation Mission has been identified with the objective of building the required capacity for Vernacular Innovation Program i.e. Mother Tongue Innovation Programme. Under this, the mother tongue task force will be trained in each scheduled language. Each task force will comprise of mother tongue teachers, subject experts, technical writers and leadership from regional Atal Incubation Centres.

9.Government said that CISF is currently providing security at 64 airports

The Government said that the Central Industrial Security Force – CISF is currently providing security at 64 airports . These include airports operated by joint ventures and public-private partnerships. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said that CISF was established for better protection of industrial undertakings owned and controlled by the Central and State Governments. He said that CISF is also deployed in 11 private sector companies including Patanjali Food Herbal Park in Haridwar and Reliance Industries Limited in Jamnagar.

15.66 million year old dinosaur embryo found in China

Southern China ‘s Ganjou in embryos of 66 million year old dinosaur that went discovered. This embryo is believed to be a toothless theropod dinosaur or oviraptorosaur . Its name is Baby Yingliang.is kept. The discovery of this embryo has given researchers a greater understanding of the link between dinosaurs and modern birds. The fossil provides that, the embryo was in a curved position known as “tucking”. This behavior is observed in birds shortly before hatching. It also indicates that tucking behavior has evolved in modern birds and originated from their dinosaur ancestors. Oviraptorosaurs were feathered dinosaurs that lived in present-day Asia and North America during the Late Cretaceous period, about 100 million to 66 million years ago.

  5. A gas insulated substation at Davorlim-Navelim, Margao has been constructed at a cost of about Rs.16 crore.

18.Karnataka announces reservation for transgenders in police
