1.GST may fall in tax rates :-
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has indicated that once the increase in revenues, slabs can be reduced under the goods and services tax (GST).
It is worth noting that under the goods and services tax, the goods and services were divided into four tax slabs 5 percent, 12 percent, 18 percent and 28 percent. Apart from this, additional compensation cess is also applicable on some products.
2.Merger agreement between RCom and Aircel canceled :-
Telecom operators Reliance Communications and Aircel have canceled their business merger deal. Reliance Communications said in a release, “The merger of mobile business between Mercury and Mercury has been canceled with mutual consent.” It is significant that these two companies have jointly formed R Comm’s mobile business An agreement was reached in September 2016 regarding merger with Aircel.
Anil Ambani-led firm said that due to legal and regulatory uncertainties and inherent self-interest, there was a lot of delay in obtaining necessary approvals for the proposed deal.
The company said, “With a lot of competition in the Indian telecom sector, fresh policy guidelines had a negative impact on the bank financing for the sector. For these reasons the merger agreement has been canceled. The board of directors has approved it. ”
3.President Ramnath Kovind inaugurates Shirdi airport in Maharashtra :-
President Ramnath Kovind inaugurated the Shirdi airport in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. Mr. Covind flagged off the first flight of Alliance Air from Mumbai to Shirdi.
Apart from this, flights from Mumbai and Shirdi between two other companies will also start from this airport. Initially, there will be four flights for Mumbai and one flight service from Delhi and Hyderabad.
The President also inaugurated the centenary celebrations of Sai Baba’s Tomb in Shirdi. It will take 45 minutes from Shirdi to Mumbai. With an estimated cost of 350 crores, the airport’s airport is 2.5 thousand meters long and can have Nairobi-based aircraft such as Air Bus A320 and Boeing 737.
4.India launches two immigration posts on the borders involving Myanmar and Bangladesh :-

The Central Government has arranged for the movement of Lunglei in Mizoram between India and Bangladesh.
The Koropuichua check post in the district has been authorized. Both of these posts will be utilized for every category of passenger traveling with valid travel documents. Jorinpui has been selected to make a new customs center on the Indo-Myanmar border for the Kaladan project in Mizoram. Kwarpuchia is located on the banks of Mizoram and the border river of Bangladesh.
5.One-year ban on nine countries including Russia and China participating in World Vertical Championships :-
International Weightlifting Federation has imposed a one-year ban on participating in international competitions on nine countries, including Russia and China.
The federation has taken this step to re-analyze the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games dope tests. Apart from Russia and China, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Ukraine have been banned.

In the meeting after the death of 23 people in a stampede at a crowded station in Mumbai, the Railway Minister said that the path across the pedestal at all railway stations should now be mandatory.

8.US health minister resigns, two Indians in race race :-

9.US President will take his first Asian trip from November 3 to 14 :-
US President Donald Trump will make his first trip to Asia in November, in which he will visit Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.
The White House announced yesterday that during this visit from November 3 to 14, Mr. Trump will be involved in several bilateral and multilateral negotiations and cultural programs.
10.700 PF trusts not returning jobs :-
Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has asked Regional Offices to take action against 700 PF trusts.
These trusts have not filed online returns. In the review made by the Central Provident Fund Commissioner (CPFC), it was revealed that more than 700 private PF trusts were not filing returns online.
The EPFO said that the Commissioner has asked Regional Offices to ensure that these trusts are filled online.
Those who do not do this are asked to take legal action against them. Such trusts can be discontinued. Trusts have told that they give 84 lakh members information about contribution in different ways.
11.Deepika Pallikal defeats in semifinals of San Francisco Open Squash tournament :-
India’s Deepika Pallikal had to face defeat in the semi-finals of the San Francisco Open Squash tournament.
Deepika was defeated by Nicole David of Malaysia 11-3 , 11-0 , 11-5 in the semi -finals. Nicole will face England’s Sarah Jane Parry in the final. Parry defeated current champion Laura Masarro in the semi-finals.
