1.Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu will be leaving Brussels today to attend the 12th Asia-Europe Summit in Belgium:-

Deputy President M. Venkaiah Naidu will leave for Belgium  to attend the 12th Asia-Europe Summit in Belgium. They will lead the Indian delegation in a two-day conference starting tomorrow. Mr. Naidu will participate in the full session of the conference apart from the inaugural ceremony.

This year’s theme is the conference – Global Partners for Global Challenges.

Our correspondent has said that issues related to connectivity , trade and investment and cyber space are important in the conference agenda .

Summit is the biggest platform for dialogue and cooperation between Asia and Europe in areas such as trade , investment , security and tourism. Vice President will hold bilateral meetings with heads of different countries during the conference. Shri Naidu Antwerp will present floral tributes to the Indian expatriates in Belgium, besides addressing the Jain Culture Center at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

2.Newly involved submarine rescue vehicle in the Indian Navy – successfully tested DSRV:-

According to the Navy’s release, the Western Naval Command examined the DSRV in depth of more than three hundred feet and naval personnel from the trapped submarine were brought to the rescue vehicle. This vehicle operates a team of three members.

With the help of DSRV, 14 personnel can be saved at a time . This rescue capability of DSRV has given important capability to the Indian Navy. This is for the first time in the history of Indian Navy that the DSRV crew operated a reputedly operated vehicle of ROV i.e. at a depth of more than 750 meters and scanned sonar at depth of more than six hundred meters.

3.India has been declared the 58th most competitive economy of the Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum in 2018:-

India world global competitiveness index of the World Economic Forum 2018 in 58 has been declared th most competitive economy. The World Economic Forum said that India’s ranking has increased by five places compared to last year. G- This is the highest increase among 20 countries. According to the information, India is performing better or better than those of higher income groups in the top and upper middle-income category economies. In addition to health , education and skills at the regional level, India is ahead in all other areas of competition. India has invested heavily in the transport , infrastructure and services sector and the biggest competitive advantage for it is its huge market and innovation. 140America is on top of the list of economies , while China is at the top of the BRICS economics at number 28 .

4.Anna Burns of Ireland will be given the Man Booker Prize of 2018 for his novel MilkMan

Anna Burns of Northern Ireland will be awarded Man Booker Prize for her novel Milkman. After 2013 , she is the first female writer to win this award. In the Milkman novel, thirty years of ethnic violence in Northern Ireland is a story of a young woman. In the novel, the struggle of a middle-class nurse has been portrayed , who wages rumors , social and political pressures.

The selectors of Britain’s prestigious annual awards described this novel by Ms. Burns as very special.

5.US Ministry of Finance announces new sanctions on Iran:-

The United States Ministry of Finance has announced new sanctions on Iran. These restrictions are being implemented on many banks and investment companies including Iran’s Bank Milit and Meher Ektad Bank. According to the announcement, restrictions have been imposed on companies investing in sectors like Iran Tractor Company , Steel Company and Investment Consumer Products and Engineering. Two weeks ago, the United States had imposed strong sanctions against Iran, whose area was brought to the oil sector.

6.Indian athlete Pravin Chitval won a bronze medal in the Triple Jump at Summer Youth Olympics in Argentina:-

Pravin Chitraval of India won a bronze medal in triple jump and gave India the second medal in athletic bouts in the Youth Olympic Games. Pravin, third in the Buenos Aires, Argentina, got the third spot by jumping 31 decimal five two meters. Gold medal Cuba and silver medal won by Nigeria

India has so far won 12 medals , three gold , eight silver and one bronze medal. He is ranked 14th in the medal table .

7.Happy Birthday Anil Kumble: His ball was tossed suddenly, hence the name ‘Jumbo’

Team India’s legendary bowler and former coach Anil Kumble is celebrating his 48th birthday . On this occasion, we are going to tell you some interesting things about Kumble’s life and his cricket career.

  1. Anil Kumble was born on October 17, 1970, at the house of Krishna Swamy and Sarojaya in Bengaluru, Karnataka. His native village is named Kumble, hence his surname is Kumble.
  2. Generally, players give importance to the game at a very early age, so they can not pay much attention to studies. But Kumble completed his studies of mechanical engineering in 1992.
  3. In 1989, on behalf of Karnataka, Kumble made his first class debut against Hyderabad, in which he took four wickets. He got the reward for good performance in the match and was selected for the Under-19 team against Pakistan. Kumble played his first one-day international against Sri Lanka in 1990. This year Kumble also played his debut Test match against England.
  4. Kumble, who played a player, captain and coach, took over the team’s command for almost a year in his 18-year career.

8.A strong, decisive government must be needed for fast growth, fast-food decisions: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley:-

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said on  that it is important for the Center to remain strong at the Center and able to make a decision to keep the country on the path of high economic growth. We have to make the country’s economy so strong that it can compete with the high prices of crude oil and the challenges of falling rupee easily.

Jaitley was here addressing the 98th Annual General Meeting of the Assocham through video conferencing.

He said , ” If the country has to continue on the path of high growth and for this it has to continue to achieve high revenues and more resources , as well as to achieve the goal of better structural facilities in the country, strong and decisive in the center Leadership is important. ”

Referring to challenges before the country, the Finance Minister said that India is a pure importer of oil. Prices are being increased by creating artificial shortage of crude oil in the world market. It has a bad effect on the economy.

He said , ” We have to be ready to fight this situation. We have to create the capability to face it. ”

9.Prime Minister will create 10 lakh jobs in health, health and insurance sector:-

Chief Engineer of Ayushman India Indu Bhushan has said that under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Swasthya Yojna, one million jobs will be created in the health and insurance sector. Mr. Bhushan said in a program organized by Industry Confederation, Assocham that this scheme will improve the quality of health facilities in government and private sectors. In a special dialogue with AIR, Indu Deshushan said that under the Prime Minister Jan Swasthya Yojna, more than 10 crore households of poor and deprived sections of the family will be given health insurance of Rs. Five lakh annually for treatment.
