Delhi ‘s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has become the first airport in the country to be awarded water-positive status for its environmentally friendly nature. Its passenger capacity exceeds 40 million passengers annually. Commenting on this achievement, IGIA Chief Executive Officer Videh Kumar Jaipuriar said, “Becoming water-positive demonstrates a deep commitment to the responsible use of natural resources and the future of aviation infrastructure from an environmentally sustainable perspective.” He added that this achievement is a major step towards strengthening IGI Airport’s long-term position as a zero-emission airport. Mr. Jaipuriar said, “Water positivity not only reduces our dependence on natural resources but also strengthens our environmental sustainability.”
3 WhatsApp Web will be logged out every 6 hours in India.

Amid increasing crackdown on messaging platforms , the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has issued a directive that all web-based messaging services, including WhatsApp , will have to automatically log out users every six hours . According to the new rules, the SIM card with which a user has registered the account must remain continuously ‘bound’ to that service. This rule will apply to all platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Arattai, Snapchat, ShareChat . Due to this provision, WhatsApp Web and other web-companion apps will log out every six hours if the original SIM is not present in the phone.
4 India-Nepal joint military exercise Surya Kiran continues

The 19th edition of the joint military exercise ” Exercise Surya Kiran ” between the armies of India and Nepal is underway in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand . The main focus of the exercise is to develop better synergy between the two armies through jungle warfare, counter-terrorism operations in mountainous areas, and the use of modern technology. The revision is based on official data showing India’s real GDP growth at 8.2% in the second quarter (July–September) of FY26, compared to an average growth of 8% in the first half (April–September).

Every year, December 1st is celebrated as World AIDS Day to raise awareness about AIDS , eradicate the stigma associated with it, and improve treatment . AIDS weakens a person’s immune system to such an extent that the body becomes unable to fight even minor infections. This leads to increased infections and ultimately death. Therefore, AIDS prevention and control are crucial. There was a lack of awareness about AIDS, and many myths had taken root in people’s minds. This necessitated a need to raise awareness about the disease. Recognizing this need, James W. Bunn and Thomas Netter conceived the idea of a global awareness day. Their goal was to establish a day that would educate and educate people about this deadly disease. With this in mind, World AIDS Day was first celebrated on December 1, 1988. In 1996, the reins of this event were taken over from the World Health Organization by UNAIDS , a specialized organization of the United Nations . Since then, UNAIDS has established a theme for this day each year, which sets the direction for global efforts. This year’s theme is ” Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response .”
