Wipro Ltd, the IT sector’s largest Indian company, has achieved its largest ever contract. Wipro has secured a 10-year contract of $ 1.5 billion (about Rs 10,650 crore) for the digital services from American company Elite Solutions LLC.

Wipro has given this information on Sunday. Among the biggest IT companies in India, Wipro said that it would be able to get revenues of between $ 1.5 billion and $ 1.6 billion in the contract period. Under this agreement, Wipro will provide solutions related to health, human resources and financial services to the American company.

In July, Wipro had entered into a deal to buy Elite Solutions’s Indian arm, Elite HR Services India, for $ 11.7 million (about Rs 830 crore). In a BSE filing on Sunday, the company said that the deal was completed on August 31. Due to better expectations and the fall in rupee against the dollar, the shares of the company are also on the rise.

9.ICICI and SBI Bank made costlier loans :-

Home , loans and other loans can be expensive. State Bank of India (SBI) and ICICI Bank announced the increase in marginal cost of funds based lending rate (MCLR) by 0.2 percent on Saturday. New rates have come into force with immediate effect. SBI has increased rates by 0.20% for loans between one day to three years. After this increase, the rate of interest for one day and one month loan has increased to 8.1 percent.

The interest rate for one year loan has been increased from 8.25 percent to 8.45 percent. MCLR has been 8.65 percent for three year loan. ICICI Bank has increased the one year MCLR by 0.15 percent to 8.55 percent. Both the banks had increased MCLR in June. The decision to increase interest rates on banks has been done by the Reserve Bank after a month of 0.25% increase in the repo rate.
