  1. Proposal for 25 percent tax exemption on submission of scrap certificate of old vehicle before purchase of new vehicles

The Center has proposed a 25 percent tax exemption on submission of scrap certificate of the old vehicle before the purchase of new vehicles . The Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways today published draft rules for concession in motor vehicle tax in this regard of scrap of old vehicle. The draft of the rules states that people will get a concession of 25 percent on the purchase of personal vehicles with vehicle scrap certificate, while the tax relief on the purchase of commercial vehicles will be 15 percent. In individual vehicles, tax concessions can be taken for up to eight years, while for commercial vehicles this period will be up to 15 years. This period will be calculated from the date of first registration. The government has invited suggestions from various stakeholders on the draft rules in a period of 30 days. The rule is proposed to come into force from October 1 this year.

National Aerospace Laboratories , a Bangalore-based research laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, will release the two-seater instructor aircraft Hansa-New Generation , built by it. This indigenous training aircraft is equipped with IFR Compliant Avionics, efficient digitally controlled Rotax 912 ISC engine with glass cockpit, bubble canopy design, smart multi functional display. Due to these, the performance and range of the aircraft is very good. The aircraft was screened at Wing India 2020 and Arrow India 2021. During these exhibitions, National Aerospace Laboratory received letters of intent for the purchase of 30 such aircraft. These letters of intent were obtained from other flying clubs in India including the Indira Gandhi National Flight Academy.
