1. 19th bilateral exercise between India and French Navy Varuna 2021

The 19th bilateral exercise between the Navy of India and France is commencing in the Varuna 2021 Arabian Sea . The three-day exercise will include high-level naval activities, including advanced air security and anti-submarine exercises. During the exercise, the navies of the two countries will strive to increase maneuver skills while demonstrating their capability as a unified force aimed at promoting peace, security and stability in the maritime sector. On behalf of the Indian Navy, INS Kolkata, INS Tarkash, INS Talwar and Chetak will participate in the helicopter exercise. Rear Admiral Ajay Kochhar will lead India, while the French Naval Unit will be led by Rear Admiral Mark Ossedat.

The Prime Minister’s Citizens Assistance and Relief Fund-PM Cares Fund has given in-principle approval for allocation of funds for setting up five hundred 51 plants under public health centers in the country . Pressure swing absorption-PSA medical oxygen will be made in these plants . This decision was taken in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directive to increase the availability of oxygen in hospitals. Earlier this year, more than two billion rupees crore was allocated from the PM Cares Fund for setting up 162 PSA Medical Oxygen Plants within the public health centers in the country.
