1.Publications Division participates in 40th Sharjah International Book Fair

Publishing Vibha c 40th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is attending. The fair United Arab Amarat of Sharjah began which will run until 13 November. The Consul General of India in Dubai, Aman Puri, has appreciated the contribution of the Publications Division in the field of publications. India has become the leading country participating in this fair with maximum number of 87 publishers including Publications Division. A total of one thousand five hundred and sixty six publishers are participating in this fair.

2.DRDO and Indian Air Force successfully flight-tested indigenously developed Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon

Two flight tests of the indigenously developed Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon have been conducted jointly by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Indian Air Force . Satellite Navigation and Electro Optical SensorsTwo different configurations based on Electro-optical seeker based flight test of this class of bombs has been done for the first time in the country. The electro optic sensor is indigenously developed. The weapon was dated 28 October, 2021 and 03 November, 2021 was launched by an Indian Air Force aircraft from the Chandan ranges in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The electro-optical configuration of the system is equipped with Imaging Infra-Red (IIR) Seeker technology which enhances the precision strike capability of the weapon. The target fired in both tests was hit with high accuracy. The system is designed for a maximum range of 100 kilometers. The newly optimized launcher ensured smooth release and ejection of the weapon. Advanced guidance and navigation algorithms performed by the software as per mission requirements. The Smart Anti Airfield Weapon has been designed and developed by RCI in coordination with other DRDO laboratories and with extensive support from the Indian Air Force.

National Crime Records Bureau ( NCRB ) has recently released “ Accidental Deaths & Suicides in India, 2020Published its report titled. The number of suicides in India in the year 2020 has increased by 10% to 1,53,052 as compared to the figures of 2019. According to this report there has been an increase of 21.20 percent in suicides among students. In total numbers, daily wage earners had the largest share in the total suicides. In 2020 this number was 37,666. The number of suicides in 2020 was the highest since 1982. There was an increase of 11.15 per cent in comparison to the figures of 1981. The suicide rate has increased from 10.4 percent in 2019 to 11.3 percent in the year 2020. Suicide rate is defined as the number of suicides per lakh population. The share of suicides among daily wage earners has doubled between 2014 and 2020. The level of suicide among students has reached its highest level since 1995. In the year 2019, 10,335 cases were reported. In 2020 this number increased to 14, 825 turned out to be. In percentage terms, the share of suicide among students increased from 7.4% to 8.2% during the same period.
