3.Reserve Bank to start pilot project of digitization of Kisan Credit Card

The Reserve Bank will soon start a pilot project of complete digitization of Kisan Credit Cards . It is also called KCC landing . The RBI statement said that digitization of rural finance is one of the main objectives of the fintech efforts of the Reserve Bank. This pilot project is being done by Union Bank of India in Madhya Pradesh and Federal Bank in Tamil Nadu .With this will be started in selected districts. The Reserve Bank Innovation Center has developed KCC Lending. The proposed digitization will help in making the process of taking loan from Kisan Credit Card more efficient. This will reduce the cost for borrowers and make the process quicker and reduce the time taken from applying to the loan. At this time customers have to personally visit the bank branch with proof of land ownership and other documents. This takes two to four weeks from loan application to loan processing. Based on the learnings from the pilot project, gradually the digitization process of Kisan Credit Card will be expanded across the country.
