1.GST COUNCIL PLANNED TO INTRODUCE A NEW GST RETURN SYSTEM:-

GST Council decided to introduce a new GST return system to facilitate taxpayers. The new plan is worked out to ease the transition to the new return system.

A prototype of the offline tool has already been shared on the common portal to give the look and feel of the tool to the users. The tool is the same as that of the online portal.

There are three main components to the new return. One main return (FORM GST RET-1) and two annexures (FORM GST ANX-1 and FORM GST ANX-2).

The new return system (ANX-1 & ANX-2 only) will be available for trial for taxpayers to make themselves familiar.

2.The Union Cabinet Approved An Extension Of Presidents Rule In Jammu And Kashmir:-

The Union Cabinet approved an extension of President’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir for six more months beginning July 3. The central rule has been continuing in Jammu and Kashmir since June 20, 2018.

After the approval of the Union Cabinet, the President Ram Nath Kovind will sign the proclamation for imposition of President’s rule in the state.

The President’s rule which was imposed in J&K on 20 December, 2018 expires on July 2. The Governor of J&K Satypal Malik has also recommended that the President rule in the state may be extended for a further period of six months with effect from July 3.

This is because, Under Section 92 of the Constitution of J&K, there is no provision for further continuation of Governor’s rule after six months.

3.DRDO Successfully Tested The Indigenously Developed HSTDV Along With Several Technologies:-

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted the maiden test of an indigenously developed Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV) along with several technologies on 12 June.

The HSTDV missile was successfully launched from Dr Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha. The missile was tracked by various radars, telemetry stations and electro optical tracking sensors through its course.

Scram-jet technology:

Scram-jet technology is dual-use technology. It will have multiple civilian applications when developed successfully.  It will also be available for long-range cruise missiles.

The combustion of fuel takes place in a chamber in the missile at supersonic speeds, in scram-jet technology. It can be used for launching satellites at low cost.

4.World Blood Donor Day 2019: 1% population can meet the need, far behind India:-

Blood donation is not called such a mahadan. There are many benefits to the donor. Also blood is such a thing which has no choice. With severe illness or decrease of blood in the accident, more than 30 lakh people die every year in India, while only one percent population can complete this blood donation by donating blood. Surprisingly, despite being the world’s largest population, India is far behind in blood donation. Even our neighboring countries are far ahead of us in this mahadan. World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on June 14, 2019, to eliminate blood deficiency.

is celebrated all over the world in memory of Karl Landstein, who received Nobel Prize in Physiology, the World Blood Donation Day. Its purpose is to promote blood donation and to remove the misconceptions related to it. On this day, on June 14, 1868, the birth of scientific Karl Landstein was. They identified the blood group A, B and O group on the basis of the presence of agglutinin in the human blood. This classification of blood made significant contributions to medical science. Karl Landstein was given the Nobel Prize in 1930 for the same discovery.

57 Indian companies have managed to make their place in the world’s largest list of companies. This list has been released by Forbes Magazine. Forbes made the list of the world’s largest 2000 companies, including 57 Indian companies. Along with the housing loan company, HDFC Ltd has been included in the world’s 10 largest consumer finance companies. Reliance Industries (RIL) has been ranked 71st in the Forbes list, and it is at the forefront of Indian companies included in this list.

Only Reliance Industries from India in Top 200

Only Reliance Industries has been included in India from the largest 200 companies in the world. After this, HDFC Bank got 209th rank, ONGC got 220th, IndianOil 288th and HDFC Ltd got 332nd position. TCS, ICICI Bank, L & T, SBI and NTPC are also among the top 500 companies. Others include Tata Steel, Coal India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharat Petroleum, Infosys, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, ITC, Bharti Airtel, Wipro, JSW Steel, Power Grid, Hahalalco, HCL Tech, M & M, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv , GAIL, PNB, Grasim, Bank of Baroda, Power Finance and Canara Bank.

7.International Association Of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Re-Branded As World Athletics:-

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), the international governing body for the sport of athletics, changed it name from IAAF to World Athletics.

The members of IAAF council have approved the rebranding at an IAAF Council meeting held in Monaco on 8th June. The process to rebrand IAAF began on January 2018.
Purpose:

The new name and logo has been designed to represent the modern and positive face for athletics. Also, it aims to attract the younger audience.

It will see the organisation take on its new name and a re-designed logo after the 2019 World Athletics Championship in Doha in October.
