The government has approved the disinvestment of Central Electronics Limited . The Alternative Mechanism, empowered by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, has approved the sale of 100% equity shareholding of Government of India in Central Electronics Limited to M/s Nandal Finance & Leasing Private Limited.Highest price bid of Rs. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh were involved in this alternative mechanism. The Finance Ministry said that a bid of two hundred and sixty six thousand rupees has been approved for disinvestment. The process of disinvestment of Central Electronics Limited started in 2016, after the approval of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. The entire process was conducted in a transparent manner, under multi-stage decisions at the Inter-Ministerial Group, the Union Secretary Group on Disinvestment and the Ministerial Empowered Alternate Mechanism level.

6.India’s GDP rate at 8.4 percent in the second quarter of the current financial year

9.KVIC will soon start Pashmina production in Varanasi
Originating in the high altitude regions of Leh-Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir , the world famous pashmina wool products will now be made in Varanasi as well. Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has taken a pioneering initiative in Varanasi and Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh .Four Khadi institutes in the districts have been persuaded to process raw pashmina wool and weave it further into woolen cloth. Pashmina cloth will be woven in Varanasi. This is the first attempt to introduce the heritage Pashmina weaving craft outside J&K and introduce this unique art to artisans from rest of India. Pashmina weaving in Varanasi will start from January next year. 20 Khadi artisans from Sewapuri Ashram in Varanasi will be given 30 days training in Pashmina weaving, for which 2 master trainers from West Bengal have been persuaded by these institutes.
10.IREDA and BVFCL sign MoU to enhance green energy cooperation
Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) the Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) with renewable energy projects signed on to develop a Memorandum of Understanding to provide its technical-financial expertise to raise funds (MOU). Both these companies are Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers respectively. Under the agreement, IREDA will undertake techno-financial appropriate implementation of renewable energy, green hydrogen, green ammonia, energy efficiency and conservation projects for BVFCL. IREDA will assist BVFCL in developing an action plan to build renewable energy projects and achieve the targets set for the next 5 years.

17.South Korea to get world’s first floating city by 2025
South Korea will soon get the world’s first floating city to deal with the problem of flooding due to rising sea levels . The Floating City Project is a joint effort of the UN Human Settlement Program (UN- Habit ) and Oceanics (OCEANIX) . The city will be built on the coast of Busan in South Korea and is expected to be completed by 2025. 19.EXIM Bank extends $100 million loan for COVID vaccines in FY22
Export-Import Bank (EXIM Bank) by fiscal 2022 in COVID-19 vaccine or related products to seven companies for the domestic manufacturers of the $ 100 million loanDia, two of whom are from Hyderabad (Telangana). The bank is also targeting to finance $7 billion of project exports over the next five years through funds received from the central government in the National Export Insurance Account (NEIA).
