1.Government will include central security forces in organized service soon:-

The government will soon be pleased with the benefits of the organized service to the officers of the Central Security Forces. With this, officials will get better opportunities for promotion and other benefits. Such officials will get much benefit, who will have to spend most of their service hours in Naxal, terrorism and the disaster prone areas.

According to the information received, the Home Ministry is going on discussions between the Department of Appointment and Training for the changes in the service conditions. Two decisions of Supreme Court and Delhi High Court are also being studied in this regard. It is likely that notification of this effect will be issued shortly. The Prime Minister’s Office has been told that high level discussions have been informed about this in the final stages.

According to the Home Ministry official, the government has taken several decisions in the recent past for the welfare of the Central Forces – CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF and SSB jawans. The need for some more decisions is felt after the February 14 Pulwama attack. Providing better facilities to the officers of Central forces is another step in this direction.

It is known that the Supreme Court had ordered the Central Armed Police Force to join the organized services in the order given in February. This will open the way for better services and better facilities to police organizations.

2.Justice PC Ghosh will be the first Lokpal of the country, today can be formal announcement:-

Soon the country is going to get a much-needed Lokpal. Retired Judge of Supreme Court Pinaki Chandra Ghosh may be the first Lokpal of India. The selection panel of the Lokpal has named the names of the Ombudsman president and eight members. It is believed that the committee has elected Justice PC Ghosh for the post of Lokpal Speaker.

There is a hope of a formal announcement from the government soon. Justice Ghosh is currently a member of the National Human Rights Commission. The historic time for the country is going to be realized when the Lokpal will be appointed for the highest organization to look after corruption. The selection process has been completed. The Prime Minister will also come under the purview of its investigation under Lokpal law. The Ombudsman can direct all investigating agencies, including the CBI.

Lokpal and the Lokayukta Government employees in the states will be able to investigate cases of corruption against them. The meeting of the selection committee of five members, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was held on Friday, March 15, in which Lokpal and four judicial and eight non-judicial eight members were elected. There are five members in this selection committee, including the PM. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, Leader of Opposition and well known lawmaker Mukul Rohatgi is a member. Since the leader is no longer the leader of the opposition, the government calls Mallikarjun Kharge as a special invitee to the committee in the Lok Sabha as the special invitee of Congress Parliamentary Party.

However, Kharge did not participate in the selection committee meeting on Friday. Kharage had an objection to being invited to the meeting as a special invite rather than the leader’s opposition. Sources reveal that 66-year-old Ghosh has been elected from the General Committee for the post of Lokpal. Justice Ghosh is being made the first Lokpal of the country after nearly five years of notifying the Lokpal Act on January 16, 2014. The salary and allowances of the Lokpal are as many as the salary and allowances of the Chief Justice of the country and the salary of the members is as much as the salary of the Supreme Judge. The Lokpal will have a tenure of the Chairman and members till five years or till the age of 70 years. It is notable that the Supreme Court had told Attorney General K.K. Venugopal on March 7 that he should tell within ten days that when the selection committee to select the names for the appointment of Lokpal will be meeting.

According to the law of the application,

any former Chief Justice did not have the choice of the chief justice of India

or the former chief justice or the judge or a former judge of the Supreme Court. Apart from this, a famous person can also be appointed as a Lokpal if he has experience of Anti Corruption Policy or Public Administration or Vigilance or Finance Insurance Banking Law or Management for 25 years. Sources reveal that no former Chief Justice applied for president post.

For the post of president, only two former judges of the Supreme Court, Justice Prafulla Chandra Pant (PC Pant) and Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghosh (PC Ghosh) applied for the post. The search committee sent these two judges to the selection committee. It is believed that the selection committee has put a stamp on the name of Justice Ghosh. Apart from this, the selection committee selected four retired chief judges of the High Court as a judicial member. In addition, four non-judicial members include current and retired IPS, IAS and IRS officers. According to sources, IPS Archana Ramaswamy and the current Chief Secretary of Maharashtra are also in the name of non-judicial members.

The introduction of Justice Ghosh
born in 1952, Justice PC Ghosh (Pinaki Chandra Ghosh) is the son of former Justice Shambhu Chandra Ghosh. In 1997, he became the judge of the Calcutta High Court. In December 2012, he became the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. On March 8, 2013, he was promoted by the Supreme Court judge, and on 27 May 2017, he retired from the Supreme Court judge’s post.

The decision of the central government has been welcomed by Anna Hazare, social activist and has described it as a result of 48 years of public battle. Anna Hazare had many agitations and hunger strikes on the demand of appointment of Lokpal and Lokayukta in the states at the national level.

He is angry with not being appointed to the Lokpal and has done a hunger strike in his village Ralegradsiddhi in Ahmednagar this February-March. Earlier in the year 2013, in Delhi, he made a big movement to form a law in this regard at a large level. Then the then UPA government had called this a joint session and passed this law against corruption.
