1.Became Brand Ambassador of Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma Skills Bharat Abhiyan :-

The Brand Ambassador has been made to promote the Hindi films star Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma, who have been appointed by the Prime Minister, to promote and promote Kaushal Bharat Abhiyan.

Both actors are promoting India’s respect for the whole world through their film’ Sui-Thaa-Made In India ‘ , working to encourage Indian entrepreneurs and skilled workers , especially the domestic handloom craftsmen , artisans and weavers.

 

2.India-Bangladesh inaugurated two projects :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two projects- India-Bangladesh Petroleum pipeline and Dhaka-Tongi-Joydebpur rail line through video conferencing with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Modi said, “Geographically we are neighboring countries, but emotionally we are families. In the last few years, our cooperation has shown to the world what can be done if two neighboring countries decide whether there are decades-old border disputes or development cooperation projects, we have made unprecedented progress on all subjects. ”

Referring to the India-Bangladesh Friendship Petroleum Pipeline Project, he said that this will bring new energies to Bangladesh’s economy and strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Indo-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline Project is 130 kilometers long. It connects Syliguri of West Bengal to the mountain city of Dinajpur district of Bangladesh. The project of Rs. 346 crore will be completed in 30 months.

During the visit of Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale to Dhaka, the two countries had signed a deal to build this pipeline in April.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the Dhaka-Tongi-Joydebpur rail line project will help strengthen the national and urban transport in Bangladesh.

 

3.President Ramnath Kovind launches iconography and web portal on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi :-

President Ramnath Kovind launched the symbol and web portal in connection with the one and a half hundred anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. This logo was released in the presence of Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) and Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Culture Secretary Arun Goyal.

The design of the logo with color instructions for download is available on the https://gandhi.gov.in/download.html website.

This insignia will be levied in Indian Railways, Air India aircraft, state government buses, government websites, government advertisements and public enterprises.

On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, this festival, which runs for two years throughout the country and the world, will start from October 2, 2018 and run till 2 October 2020. In order to create an action plan for this big celebration, a meeting of the National Committee was held in the presidentship of the President in May 2018, with 92 suggestions.

 

4.China decided to impose import duty on US $ 60 billion US products :-

The tension in the trade sector between China and the United States grew faster when China decided to impose import duty on US $ 60 billion of US products. Earlier, the US government imposed an import duty on China’s products worth two trillion dollars. There is a growing trade dispute between these two big economic powers of the world.

 

5.Prime Minister will be the cornerstone of the Art International Convention Center today, many will be included :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for an estimated cost of Rs 25,700 crore in Delhi. Today, the foundation stone of the India International Convention and Expo Center (IICC) will be laid in New Delhi. Meanwhile, PM Modi will also address the people present here.

This center, built in New Delhi’s Dwarka Sector-25, will be a world-class exhibition cum convention center with facilities like financial, hospital and retail services. It is being told that the estimated cost of this project will be Rs. 25,700 crores. This project is being implemented by the India-International Convention Center and Exhibition Center Limited (IICC Limited), a government company established by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). Many central government ministers are expected to join this program.

 

6.A new bank will be formed from the merger of BOB, Vijaya and Dena Bank, starting from 1st April, 2019 :-

The operation of the new bank that will be formed from the merger of Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank will be started from April 1, 2019. This has been said in a media report.

According to the information, the three banks will now settle the merger process and start working from the new financial year. This month’s meeting of the Board of Directors of banks is scheduled to be held in which integration will be planned. In addition, various details including the share swap ratio and the requirement of capital on the part of the promoters will be decided in this meeting.

It is worth mentioning that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had announced the merger of three banks on Monday. The bank which will be formed in all three banks, will be worth Rs 14.82 lakh crore and it will be the third largest bank in the country after SBI and PNB.

This is the first time that the government has initiated the integration of three banks. Earlier, the merger of State Bank of India and its five associate banks and the acquisition of Indian Women Bank by SBI has been done. It is worth mentioning that there are a total of 21 government banks in the country whose majority hold the government. After the merger of these three banks, 19 government banks will remain in the country.

 

7.UP: Good news for millions of people in Ghaziabad, PM will give Metro gift in November :-

This year’s Diwali gift is ready for millions of people from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, adjacent to Delhi.  Metro Rail will start running in New Bus Corridor from Delhi’s Dilshad Garden in November At the meeting, DMRC officials assured the GDA VC Kanchan Verma that in the middle of November the services will be started for the public.

It was also informed that the Public Investment Board (PBB) has given green signal to the revised DPR of this corridor. Soon the DPR will be extended for approval of the central cabinet. Churning is being done to inaugurate it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

8.Afghanistan’s President visits India :-

On the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of Afghanistan Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani visited India on September 19, 2018.

The two leaders reviewed the progress of a multi-dimensional Indo-Afghanistan strategic partnership and made a positive assessment. Leaders expressed satisfaction over the increase in bilateral trade between the two countries, which has crossed one billion dollars. The two leaders appreciated the successful completion of the India-Afghan Trade and Investment Program from September 12 to September 15, 2018 and expressed commitment to further strengthen contacts through the Corridor for transportation by the Wichaar port and air route. There was also agreement on strengthening of new development partnership in Afghanistan in the field of infrastructure, human resources development and other capacity building projects.

 

9.Cabinet approval for RCF equity investment in Talcher Fertilizers Ltd :-

Under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs gave the National Chemical and Fertilizer Limited (RCF) Rs 1033.54 crores (+/-) equity to launch Gas based Fertilizer project in Talcher Fertilizer Limited (TFL). The fertilizer department has approved the proposal to invest. This investment amount will be 29.67 percent of the project’s total cost.

With the revival of the Talcher project, the government will ensure large scale investment through the Public Sector Undertaking in the fertilizer sector of the country. With this, with the possibility of employment generation in the eastern region of the country, the economy of the concerned state will also be strengthened. With the restoration of the fertilizer unit, the production of urea will increase at the local level, which will make the country more self-reliant in the field of urea.

 

10.Atal Insured welfare scheme started :-

Employees State Insurance ( ESI) Corporation, in New Delhi yesterday, in the 175th meeting held under the chairmanship of Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwal, Minister of State for Labor and Employment (Independent Charge),improved the services and benefits provided to the insured persons and their dependents. There are some important decisions in the direction.

Employment pattern changes and the current situation of employment in India , which contract and has been transformed into long-term fixed-term appointment of employment as temporary workers , taking into consideration the ESI Corporation employees to be covered under the State Insurance Act, 1948 For the insured persons (IP), a plan called ‘Atal Insured Person Kalyan Yojana’ has been approved. This scheme is a relief in the form of cash available directly to their bank account in case of unemployment and new job search.

ESI Corporation has also approved the proposal for reimbursement of ten rupees per person to the employees, so that their workers and their family members can be encouraged to add the base (UID) to the ESIC data base.This step will reduce the number of different insurers in different registrations and enable them to take the necessary benefits for long-term contributory conditions.

 

11.Ind vs Pak: India won by 8 wickets :-

of the Champions Trophy defeat in a great way. Earlier, batting was reduced to 162 runs in 43.1 overs. In reply, India easily achieved target of 2 wickets in 29 overs. India’s Rohit Sharma scored 52 and Shikhar Dhawan scored 46 runs. Dinesh Karthik and Ambati Rayudu remained unbeaten on 31-31.
