Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar for the year 2022 to Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management and Professor Vinod Sharma on the occasion of installing Netaji’s statue at India Gate . The award for the year 2021 was given to Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society and Dr. Rajendra Kumar Bhandari , while for the year 2020 , Uttarakhand’s Disaster Mitigation and Management Center and Kumar Munnan Singh were honored with this award. year 2019 This award for the 8th Battalion of National Disaster Response Force based at Ghaziabadgiven to. Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management was established in 2012. This institute is working towards disaster risk reduction. Vinod Sharma is a Senior Professor at the Indian Institute of Public Administration and Deputy Chairman, Sikkim State Disaster Management Authority. He is also the founding co-ordinator of the National Center for Disaster Management. This center is now known as National Institute of Disaster Management. The Central Government gives this annual award to recognize the invaluable contribution and selfless service of the individuals and organizations of India in the field of disaster management. The award is announced on 23 January every year on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Under these, Rs.51 lakh in cash and certificate is given to the institution and Rs.5 lakh in cash and certificate is given to the individual.

The Board of Directors of the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) has unanimously elected Dilip Sanghani as the 17th Chairman of the cooperative . He will succeed Balwinder Singh Nakai , who passed away earlier on October 11, 2021. Prior to this, Sanghani was serving as the Vice President of IFFCO since 2019. Sanghani is a senior co-operative from Gujarat and the President of Gujarat State Co-operative Marketing Federation Limited (Gujcomasol), holding the position since 2017. He said that Netaji’s statue would not only remind us of our obligations towards the nation but would also inspire the coming generations towards democratic values. The Prime Minister said that this great statue of Netaji, who established the first independent government on Indian soil, is being installed in a digital form near India Gate. He said that soon a grand granite statue would be installed in place of the hologram statue.
6.Major metro station in Mauritius named after ‘Mahatma Gandhi’
The Government of Mauritius has named one of its major metro stations ‘ Mahatma Gandhi ‘ as a token of gratitude for India’s support for the Metro Express project .‘ has been announced. On this occasion the Heads of State of both the countries also laid the foundation stone of Civil Service College and 8 MW Solar PV Farm Project in Mauritius. Simultaneously, the governments of both the countries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding Indian grants-in-aid for the implementation of small development projects. The governments also signed an agreement between Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM) and SBM (Mauritius) Infrastructure Development Company Limited for a $190 million line of credit for the ongoing Metro Express project and other infrastructure projects. Significantly, India has for a long time seen Mauritius only in the context of Diaspora of Indian origin, whose number is more in this country. However, in the last few years, India has started giving strategic importance to this island country present in the western Indian Ocean.
7.Plastic park to be constructed in Mangaluru
The central government has recently approved the setting up of a plastic park at Ganjimat in Mangaluru, Karnataka . This park will be built for Rs 62.77 crore. It is to be built in the land of Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) . Out of the total estimated cost of Rs 62.77 crore, the central government 50 % i.e. Rs 31.38 crorewill share. The remaining 50% amount will be borne by KIADB. To implement this project, KIADB will create a special purpose vehicle within its ambit. This park will generate hundreds of jobs for the local youth. A poly propylene unit will be installed in this park. This unit will provide raw material to the polymer and plastic units inside the park. Also, the park will help reduce the transportation cost. This is because 32 companies will be set up within the park. It also includes entrepreneurs from other districts. This park will include admin building, export building, warehouse facility etc.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has also approved extension of the Central deputation tenure of Ashutosh Jindal , Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, by one year from 16 February 2022 to 16 February 2023.

This website is open to the manufacturers, buyers, charging station searchers. The main features of the website are EV Search, EV Calculator and EV Dashboard. This website provides information on charging infrastructure and growing potential EV consumers. It serves as a major information resource for electric vehicle buyers and manufacturers. This website also provides information about public charging stations in the capital. Delhi has so far installed 377 charging points. They are spread over 170 locations. Also, this website shows the location of the charger, It also provides information on charging points and the type of charger used. The website also lists the circulars and notifications issued by the Delhi government. It calculates the fuel saved by electric vehicle as compared to conventional vehicle. This allows consumers to calculate the money saved. In addition, this calculator provides the maintenance cost and operating cost of electric vehicles.
11.Delhi Streetscraping Project
The Delhi government is going to start a redevelopment, construction of roads and beautification project . About 540 km of roads will be beautified in the national capital . Under this project, roads in the country’s capital will be upgraded to European standards , i.e. 30 meters or more .will be redeveloped for Also, the project will make roads safer for pedestrians. The project will balance roads for transit vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. The project is to be implemented in hybrid annuity mode. It is to be implemented by the Public Welfare Department of Delhi. The government will pay 60% of the project cost to the implementing agencies. The balance amount will be paid in hybrid annual mode in thirty bi-annual installments. Also, these agencies will handle the maintenance of these roads.
12.AIIMS conducts study on children suffering from COVID-19
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) recently conducted a study on children suffering from COVID-19 . According to this study, adolescents have a lower mortality rate and experience fewer symptoms than adults.Had to do 1% of adolescents suffer from moderate COVID-19 illness. 84.6% were suffering from mild COVID-19. 11.5% were suffering from body pain. 14.9% of the children were suffering from fever and cough. 6.3% were suffering from severe COVID-19 illness. 6.2% of the children faced difficulty in breathing. The study also noted that 50.7% of adults experienced shortness of breath during the second wave. 7.3% of the children needed oxygen support. 2.3% required invasive ventilation. 2.8% required non-invasive ventilation. Steroids were given to 1% of the children. 16.9% of children were given remdesivir. Currently, the in-hospital mortality rate for children aged 15 to 17 years is 3.1%. It was 19.1% during the second wave. This suggests a reduction in hospital mortality among children compared to the second wave. January 3, Children in the age group of 15 years to 17 years are being vaccinated from 2022. And the doctors wanted to study the COVID profiles of these children before the vaccination program started.

A new species of rain frog discovered in the Panama forest is named after Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg . This species has been named Pristimantis gretathunbergae , or popularly known as Greta Thunberg Rainfrog . 21.Ind-Ra forecasts India’s GDP growth to be 7.6% in FY2023
India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has pegged the Indian economy’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate at 7.6 per cent in 2022-23 (FY23) .Estimated to grow on an annual basis. Ind-Ra is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fitch Group. The economic recovery was encouraging, he said, and the restrictions imposed by many states to contain the current wave of Covid-19 were not as severe as the second wave. Nonetheless, there are risks to the ongoing recovery, the rating agency has warned. It pointed to the latest FY22 GDP advance estimates, which show that private final consumption expenditure (PFCE) – from the demand side – is the largest component of GDP (58.6 per cent) and a proxy for consumption demand. – Estimated to grow only 6.9 percent annually in the current year, showing strong growth despite low base and sales figures for many consumer durables.
