1.Assam government will launch Project Aarohan

Government of Assam Project Arohan four year consultation programgoing to start. This project will be started to provide guidance to the students and boost their skills. For this project, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Tata Strive CEO Anita Rajan and sought her cooperation on the project. Tata Strive is a skill development program of Tata Trusts. Tata Strive is an initiative of TCIT. It started functioning in the financial year 2017-18 under the original head of Tata Trusts. It was commissioned as a result of the Tata Group’s strategy of ‘Simplification, Synergy and Scale’. The initiative is skilling youth from disadvantaged backgrounds through innovations in technology, methodology and pedagogy. 6.5 lakh people have experienced the benefits of Tata Strive since 2014.

2.World Bank, Government of India sign USD 115 million loan agreement for ‘REWARD’ project

3.Exercise Eastern Pul-VI at Air Force Station, Jodhpur

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Royal Air Force (RAFO) of Oman are scheduled to participate in a bilateral exercise called Eastern Bridge-VI at Air Force Station Jodhpur from February 21 to 25, 2022 . This is the sixth edition of this exercise . This will provide an opportunity to enhance operational efficiency and interoperability between the two Air Forces. The participation of IAF and RAFO in this exercise will enhance professional interaction, exchange of experiences and operational know-how, besides strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.

Recently, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has announced that the Upper Bhadra Project has been accorded the status of a National Project by a high-powered committee of the Central Government . This is the first project in Karnataka to get national status . With the grant of National Project status, it will prove to be helpful in transforming the irrigation scenario of Central Karnataka, for which the state will get an amount of Rs 12,500 crore from the Centre . This project will irrigate an area of ​​2,25,515 hectares through micro-irrigation in the drought-prone districts of Chitradurga, Chikkamagaluru, Davangere and Tumakuru .was launched for the purpose of It will fill 367 tanks under drought prone taluks of the three districts through Chitradurga and Tumakuru branch canals. It has been started to provide permanent irrigation facility in Kharif season. This project is being implemented by Visvesvaraya Jal Nigam Limited which is a major lift irrigation scheme.

5.’Meri Policy Mere Haath’ campaign launched

With the upcoming Kharif season entering the seventh year of implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) , the government has announced a new doorstep crop insurance distribution policy known as ‘ Meri Policy Mere Haath ‘. ‘Meri Policy Mere Haath’ door-step campaign has been launched to make all farmers well informed about their land records, policies and PMFBY claim and grievance redressal process. In the upcoming Kharif season which will start in June, door-to-door campaign will be launched in all the implementing states.

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir , the Government has launched the ‘Jan Bhagidari Empowerment ‘ portal to improve digital services for the general public.started on a different server. The move comes amid concerns regarding slow speeds or bandwidth issues related to this portal. After running this portal on a different server, it started opening much faster, thus improving the experience of using the portal. So far, about 70 thousand people have accessed the portal. It is a one stop interactive and user friendly digital platform. It provides people with detailed information about the nature, location as well as the number of development works being done in their areas. Works can be searched with respect to their location in each block or municipality, village and district. This portal is also known as MNREGA, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), It has also been linked to schemes like PM Awas Yojana and PM Gram Sadak Yojana. Users need to click on these links to get quick access to the works being done under these schemes.

The Drugs Controller General of India-DCGI has approved the emergency use of covid vaccine Corbevax for children aged 12 to 18 years . The vaccine has been developed by Hyderabad – based pharmaceutical company Biological E Ltd. It is the country’s first indigenously developed receptor binding domain protein sub-unit COVID vaccine. Earlier, the vaccine had received emergency use approval for the adult population in December last year. The second dose of Corbevax vaccine will be given intramuscularly at an interval of 28 days. It can be kept at a temperature of 2 to 8 °C. India now has two vaccines for Kovid for children.
