Constitution Day  is celebrated  on  26 November . The Constituent Assembly  formally accepted the Constitution on 26 November 1949,  which   came  into effect from 26 January 1950  . In the year 2015, the government  had decided to celebrate 26 November as Constitution Day to promote constitutional values ​​among the citizens. On this occasion, President  Draupadi Murmu  unveiled   the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar  in  the Supreme Court . Chief Justice of the Supreme Court  DY Chandrachud  and other judges were also present in this program.

2 COP-28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit UAE from November 30 to attend the World Climate Change Summit

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi   will visit  Dubai  in  the United Arab Emirates  on a two-day visit from  November 30  to attend  the World Climate Change Summit .  This conference of  COP-28  under  the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change – UNFCCC  is being organized from 28 November to 12 December under the chairmanship of the United Arab Emirates . The UNFCCC Conference of Parties provides a unique opportunity to accelerate collective action towards addressing the common challenge of climate change.  During COP-26 in Glasgow , the Prime Minister had announced five specific goals called ” Panchamrit ” as important contributions of India.  The Prime Minister had also announced Mission Lifestyle for Environment  (LiFE) .

3 Center asks states and union territories to review preparedness to deal with respiratory diseases in view of the public health situation in China

The Union Health Ministry  has   decided to review preparedness measures in view of the public health situation arising from respiratory diseases in China . The ministry has   asked states and union territories  to  immediately review preparedness measures in public health and hospitals . The rapid emergence of respiratory diseases among children has been reported in northern China. The ministry has said that the government is closely monitoring the situation and there is no reason to panic. All states and union territories have been asked to implement the revised surveillance instructions in the context of Covid. They have been asked to monitor more serious respiratory diseases like influenza  . States have been asked to pay special attention to children and adolescents. Recently,   information shared by the World Health Organization indicated an increase in respiratory illness in northern parts of China. Mainly  common causes like  influenza, mycoplasma pneumonia, SARS-CoV-2 etc. have been said to be responsible for this. According to the World Health Organization, the onset of winter season as well as the spread of respiratory diseases like Mycoplasma pneumoniae as well as the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions also led to the surge.

4 Central Government changed the name of Ayushman Bharat- Health and Wellness to Ayushman Arogya Mandir

The Central Government  has   changed the name of  Ayushman Bharat – Health and Wellness to Ayushman Arogya Mandir  . Its tagline   is Arogyam Paramam Dhanam . All the states and union territories have been asked to change its current name appropriately by issuing guidelines through a letter. The ministry has also asked to upload the photographs of the primary health centers after completing the renaming work.

5 Irish author Paul Lynch wins Booker Prize 2023

Irish  author  Paul Lynch  has   been awarded  the Booker Prize for 2023 . Paul Lynch won the Booker Prize for 2023 for his novel ‘ Prophet Song ‘, leaving behind Indian-origin  author  Chetna Maru  ‘s debut novel ” Western Lane ”  at a ceremony in  London . This novel by 46-year-old Lynch   tells about an Ireland in the grip of totalitarianism . Paul Lynch, former chief film critic of Ireland’s Sunday Tribune newspaper, said he wanted readers to understand totalitarianism with the intense realism of his writing. Contest organizers said Paul Lynch is the fifth Irish author to win the Booker Prize.

6 Malaysia allows visa-free entry for Indian citizens from December 1

In Malaysia , the visa requirement for Indian citizens  coming to the country   will be abolished from December 1  this year  . Now  Indian citizens  can stay in Malaysia without visa for 30 days . Prime Minister  Anwar Ibrahim made the announcement at the annual meeting of the People’s Justice Party   in Putrajaya  . Along with India,  citizens of China  will also be allowed to enter Malaysia visa-free from December 1st. Malaysia has taken this step to promote additional tourist arrivals with a view to increasing economic growth. Mr Anwar last month announced improvements to visa facilities to encourage tourists and investors to visit Malaysia.

7 Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Shri Parshottam Rupala released Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2023 during National Milk Day program in Guwahati

Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying,  Shri Parshottam Rupala  presented   the Basic Animal Husbandry Data 2023 (Milk, Egg, Meat and Wool Production 2022) based on Livestock Integrated Sample Survey (March 2022-February 2023)  at an event organized on the occasion of  National Milk Day  in  Guwahati . -23) Issued. Following are the salient features of basic animal husbandry data:

  1. Union Minister Shri Rupala said that  the total milk production in the country during the year 2022-23  is estimated at 230.58 million tonnes, which has registered an increase of 22.81 percent in the last 5 years, which was 187.75 million tonnes in the year 2018-19. Moreover, the production during the year 2022-23 has increased by 3.83 percent over the estimate for the year 2021-22. The Union Minister said that during the year 2022-23, the highest milk producing state  was Uttar Pradesh  , whose share in total milk production was 15.72 percent. This was followed by Rajasthan (14.44 percent), Madhya Pradesh (8.73 percent), Gujarat (7.49 percent) and Andhra Pradesh (6.70 percent).
  2. Union Minister Shri Parshottam Rupala said that  the total egg production in the country  is estimated to be 138.38 billion. Compared to the estimated production of 103.80 billion eggs during the year 2018-19, an increase of 33.31 percent was recorded in the last 5 years during the year 2022-23. Furthermore, there has been an annual increase of 6.77 percent in production during the year 2022-23 as compared to the year 2021-22. Shri Rupala said that the major contributor to the total egg production of the country  has been from Andhra Pradesh, whose share in the total egg production is 20.13 percent, followed by Tamil Nadu (15.58 percent), Telangana (12.77 percent), West Bengal (9.94 percent) and  Karnataka (6.51 percent).
  3. The Union Minister said that the total meat production in the country is estimated to be 9.77 million tonnes during the year 2022-23   , registering an increase of 20.39 percent in the last 5 years as compared to the estimate of 8.11 million tonnes in the year 2018-19. Is. There was an increase of 5.13 percent in the year 2022-23 compared to the year 2021-22. He further said that the major contributor to the total meat production is from Uttar Pradesh  with 12.20 per cent share  followed by West Bengal (11.93 per cent), Maharashtra (11.50 per cent), Andhra Pradesh (11.20 per cent) and Telangana (11.06 per cent). .
  4. Shri Rupala informed that  the total wool production in the country is estimated at 33.61 million kg during the year 2022-23  , which has registered a negative growth of 16.84 percent in the last 5 years as compared to the estimate of 40.42 million kg during the year 2018-19. . However, the production has increased by 2.12 percent in 2022-23 as compared to the year 2021-22. He said that  Rajasthan is the major contributor with 47.98 per cent share in the total  wool production, followed by Jammu and Kashmir (22.55 per cent), Gujarat (6.01 per cent), Maharashtra (4.73 per cent) and Himachal Pradesh (4.27 per cent).

Odisha Research Center (ORC) was established by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR); Indian Knowledge Systems Division, Ministry of Education; Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur; Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur; And is being done in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar. The objective of the Center is to develop innovative knowledge providing framework to explore the diverse and nuanced dimensions of the history, culture, economy and society of Odisha.

9 Indian Coast Guard conducts 9th National Level Pollution Response Exercise (NATPOLREX-IX) at Vadinar, Gujarat

The 9th National Level Pollution Response Exercise (NATPOLREX-IX)  was conducted  by  the Indian Coast Guard  on  25 November 2023  at  Vadinar, Gujarat . Rakesh Pal, Director General, Indian Coast Guard   and  Chairman , National Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan (NOSDCP)  reviewed the preparedness of all agencies during the exercise. The exercise was participated by representatives of various ministries and departments of the Central and Coastal State Governments, ports, oil management agencies and other stakeholders. More than 31 foreign observers and 80 delegates participated in the exercise.

10 Inauguration of Floating Mobile Re-Fueling (MRU) CNG Station for boats at Ravidas Ghat by Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas

 In an important step towards  pollution free Varanasi,  the city’s second  floating Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Mobile Re-fueling Unit (MRU) station at Ravidas Ghat was inaugurated  by  Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs,  Shri Hardeep Singh Puri. Did.  After Namo Ghat CNG station, this is the second such station in the country to fill CNG in boats. Both the above stations   have been developed by  Maharatna PSU  GAIL (India) Limited under the control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas . With this, floating CNG stations for boats on both sides of the main ghats of Varanasi are now operational. The floating stations have been developed by GAIL at a cost of approximately Rs 17.5 crore.

YANTRA,  2023  is  an international conference on Integrative Medicine with the theme on models of  integration in health care  . Held at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences  (NIMHANS) campus, Yantra is a platform to showcase the effectiveness of AYUSH system of medicine in enriching the quality of life of people as well as their treatment. Supported by NIMHANS along with Jigyasa to strengthen and revive it.

12 RBI included PM Vishwakarma Yojana in PIDF

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI)  has   extended  the Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) scheme for an additional two years, now  effective till December 31, 2025 . The initiative aims  to encourage the deployment of payment acceptance infrastructure in various sectors  .  The scope of the PIDF scheme has been expanded to include beneficiaries of PM Vishwakarma Yojana . This strategic decision is expected to boost RBI’s efforts in promoting digital transactions at the grassroots level. The PIDF scheme, launched in January 2021, initially focused on Tier-3 to Tier-6 centres, north-eastern states and Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Beneficiaries of PM Swanidhi Yojana were included in Tier-1 and 2 centers in August 2021.

13 Blue Dart partners with India Post for  digital parcel locker services

Courier company  Blue Dart  has   launched digital parcel locker service in post offices  in partnership with  India Post . According to the statement issued by Blue Dart, with this service people will be able to collect their goods from digital parcel lockers in post offices. This eliminates the need for individual receipts or signatures for packages. Under this, Blue Dart has installed automated digital parcel lockers in some selected post offices. This will offer customers another option to ship their items.

16 OneWeb India becomes first company to receive in-space approval for  satellite broadband

OneWeb India a subsidiary of  Bharti Group and part of the Eutelsat Group  , has recently   received approval from India’s space regulator, In-Space,  to launch  Eutelsat OneWeb  ‘s commercial satellite broadband services in the country. This significant achievement makes OneWeb India the first organization to receive such authorization, making it the only satellite broadband service provider to secure all necessary regulatory approvals prior to its commercial launch.

17 The world’s largest iceberg broke and moved towards the Southern Ocean.

The world’s largest iceberg   is  now moving forward after being stuck on the sea floor for more than 30 years.  This iceberg, named  A23a, broke away from the Antarctic coastline in 1986  . 18 Bandhan Bank board approves reappointment of Chandra Shekhar Ghosh as MD and CEO

Bandhan Bank  approved   the reappointment of Chandrashekhar Ghosh  as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer  for three years . 21 RBI imposes fine of Rs 10.34 crore on Citibank, Bank of Baroda, Indian Overseas Bank

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI)  imposed   a total penalty of Rs 10.34 crore on  Citibank, Bank of Baroda and Indian Overseas Bank  . The Reserve Bank said in a statement that the maximum penalty of Rs 5 crore has been imposed on Citibank NA for non-compliance with the rules related to Depositor Education and Awareness Fund Scheme and the code of conduct in outsourcing of financial services.

22 US provided $677 billion in aid to 213 countries from 2001 to 2023: A report

 According to  the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) , the United States   will emerge as the leading aid provider in 2022 . Data from ForeignAssistance.gov  , an official platform of the US government,   reveals key insights about the patterns and destinations of US aid  between 2001 and 2023 . A comprehensive analysis shows that the US has   distributed a whopping $677 billion in aid to 213 countries from 2001 to 2023. In the last two decades, Afghanistan, Israel and Iraq topped the list of recipients.

23 Shri Anurag Singh Thakur launches logo and mascot Ujjwala of Khelo India Para Games 2023

24 Pakistan’s Imad Wasim retires from international cricket

Pakistan  spin  -allrounder Imad Wasim  announced   his retirement from international cricket  on  24 November . The 34-year-old player has played 55 ODIs and 66 T20 matches for Pakistan so far. Imad did not get a place in the Test squad. He last represented Pakistan in a T-20 match against New Zealand in April this year. Imad made his T20 debut against Zimbabwe in 2015 and ODI debut against Sri Lanka in the same year. His international cricket career lasted for eight years.
