1.Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to launch 100 day education campaign ‘Padhe Bharat’
The Union Minister for Education and Skill Development, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will launch the 100-day education campaign ‘ Padhe Bharat ‘ on January 1, 2022 . The 100 Day Reading Campaign is an important step towards improving the learning levels of the students, as it develops creativity, critical thinking, vocabulary as well as the ability to express both orally and in writing. It helps children to relate to their surroundings and real life situation. Children from Balvatika to Class VIII will be a part of this campaign. Padhi Abhiyan will be conducted for 100 days (14 weeks) starting from 1st January 2022 till 10th April 2022 .
2.gst council decided not to increase gst rate on cloth
The GST Council has decided not to increase the rate of Goods and Services Tax – GST on cloth for the time being. Even after January 1, 2022, this rate will remain at five percent . Earlier, the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance had notified that from January 1, the GST on the textile sector would be increased to 12 per cent. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman said after the meeting of the GST Council in New Delhi today that the matter of GST on cloth will be referred to the Tax Rate Rationalization Committee. The committee will submit its report by next February.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut on Sunday . This university is located in the Sardhana town of Meerut in the villages of Salwa and Kali.will be established in Its construction is estimated to cost around Rs 700 crore. Sports University provides modern sports infrastructure including synthetic hockey field, football field, basketball field, volleyball, handball, kabaddi ground, lawn tennis court, hall for gymnastics, synthetic stadium for running, swimming pool and track for cycling Will be The university will also have facilities for shooting, squash, weightlifting, archery and many other sports. One thousand 80 players, including 540 female and 540 male players, can be trained in the university.
5.Sahitya Akademi Award
Recently Sahitya Akademi ‘s Sahitya Akademi award in 20 languages in 2021 announced. The Sahitya Akademi Awards 2021 were announced for seven books of poetry, two novels, five short stories, two plays, one biography, one autobiography, one critical work and one epic poem. Gujarati, Maithili, Manipuri and UrduAwards for languages will be announced at a later date. Sahitya Akademi has also announced Yuva Puraskar and Bal Sahitya Puraskar for the year 2021. The Sahitya Akademi Award, instituted in the year 1954, is a literary honour. The award is presented annually by the Sahitya Akademi (National Academy of Letters). Awards are given every year by the Akademi for literary works in 24 languages recognized by it, as well as for mutual literary translations in these languages. Apart from the 22 languages included in the Constitution of India, the Sahitya Akademi has also introduced English and Rajasthani languages .are also recognized as the languages in which the program of the Academy can be implemented. The Sahitya Akademi Award is the second highest literary honor conferred by the Government of India after the Jnanpith Award.

7.State Policy on Women of Tamil Nadu
The ‘Social Welfare and Women’s Empowerment Department’ under the Government of Tamil Nadu has released a new draft policy for women. Under this policy, the Government of Tamil Nadu will provide a safe, healthy and aspirational environment to empower the 32 million female population in the state. Both genders will be involved in the policy making process to work towards this goal through operational coordination between departments. This first of its kind policy in India will set the agenda for the upcoming women’s schemes to meet the needs of women in Tamil Nadu. This policy will be implemented over a period of five years.
8.Semiconductor Mission of India
Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav launched the India Semiconductor Mission on December 29, 2021 . Under this scheme, interested companies who want Rs 76,000 crore earmarked by the central government to develop semiconductors and demonstrate the manufacturing ecosystem in IndiaIf you want to take advantage of the incentives of the scheme, they will be able to start applying for it from January 1, 2022. A portal has been prepared for the scheme to receive the applications. India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) is an exclusive and independent business division of Digital India Corporation. The mission has been set up with an objective to showcase the ecosystem for India to emerge as a global hub in electronics manufacturing and design. It is authorized to interact with applicants under Semiconductor Fab Scheme and Display Fab Scheme. The scheme was launched with an aim to attract large investments in manufacturing AMOLED-based display panels or TFT LCDs. The scheme was notified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on December 21, 2021.

11.A radio tag Indian pangolin released at Nandankanan Zoological Park
Recently a radio tagged Indian pangolin at Nandankanan Zoological Park (Odisha) following soft release protocols and provision for post-release monitoring was released. In radio-tagging the movements of a wildlife are tracked by a transmitter. In the past, many wildlife such as tigers, leopards and migratory birds have also been tagged. Pangolins are scaly anteater mammals and have large protective keratin scales covering their skin. These are the only known mammals to have this characteristic. It uses these keratin scales as armor to shield itself from threats against predators by rolling like a ball. Pangolins are nocturnal and their diet consists mainly of ants and termites, which they catch using their long tongues. Of the eight species of pangolin, the Indian pangolin (Manis crassicaudata) and the Chinese pangolin (Manis pentadactyla) are found in India.
12.RBI’s Financial Stability Report
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released its Financial Stability Report on December 29, 2021 . According to this report, stress tests have shown that the Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPAs) of banks increased from 6.9% in September 2021 to 8.1% in September 2022.Might be possible. The report said that progress in vaccination on the domestic front has enabled recovery to be made after the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic weakened. However, signs of slowing down were observed recently. The corporate sector is consolidating and bank credit growth is also improving.
