 Make in India  in Karnataka Giving a big boost to  , Prime Minister Narendra Modi  flew   in  the indigenous  Tejas fighter plane in Bengaluru . This flight   took place during the Prime Minister’s visit to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited-HAL . Shri Modi conducted a comprehensive review of the activities of the Tejas Fighter Aircraft Factory and other manufacturing units. The Prime Minister described the experience of flying Tejas aircraft as incredible on social media site X. Indian Air Force  has  started the process of purchasing 83 Tejas aircraft  . Air Chief Marshal  VR Choudhary  recently reviewed HAL’s first two-seat LCA trainer aircraft in Bengaluru. Prime Minister Modi has been encouraging indigenous production of defense products. He has  set an ambitious target of defense exports of five billion dollars by 2024-25  . During the financial year 2022-23, India made the highest ever defense exports worth Rs 15,920 crore.

3 Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari launches the 8th India Water Impact Conference (IWIS) in New Delhi

4 Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan laid the foundation stone of NSTI Plus in Odisha

Education and Skill Development Minister  Dharmendra Pradhan  laid  the foundation stone of National Skill Training Institute – NSTI Plus   at  Jatni  ,  Odisha . Shri Pradhan said that this institute will provide demand-driven, high-quality skill training and vocational education at the regional level. An official said that this institute  will accommodate institutes like  National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business DevelopmentNational Skill Development Corporation  and  Skill India International Centre . It will also emerge as a potential center for various skill development. On completion of the training, the Ministry   will also provide certificates to the candidates in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University – IGNOUNational Institute of Open Schooling  and  National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development – ​​NISBUD .

Union Minister of State for Communications  Devusingh  Chauhan  Hamfest 2023   in  Ahmedabad  ,  Gujarat . Speaking on the occasion, Shri Chouhan   appreciated the role of ham radio  in helping people during  natural disasters like earthquakes and cyclones . He said that the government will make all efforts to ensure that at least one ham radio operator is available in every village in the country. More than eight hundred ham radio operators from across the country are participating in this two-day program. A ham radio operator can continue experiments with various communication devices and systems through electronics (on a learn-by-do basis) as well as during times of natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, storms, earthquakes or any other air emergency. Can serve people around the world by establishing communication networks such as operating air medical transport etc.

7 Production of four cost-effective generic medicines started in the country to provide relief to patients suffering from  rare diseases.

 Manufacturing of four generic medicines has started in the country  for the treatment of rare diseases . The Union Health Ministry has said that with this, patients suffering from rare diseases will be able to get medicines at lower prices.  These medicines are now available in the market for four rare diseases –  Tyrosinemia Type-1, Gaucher’s Disease, Wilson’s Disease and Dravet-Lennox Gastaut Syndrome. NITI Aayog’s health member  Dr VK Paul  said in New Delhi that currently there are eight medicines for these diseases, out of which four are available in the market. The remaining four are in the process of permission. He told that Indian manufacturers are making these medicines. Tyrosinemia type-1 is characterized by jaundice, worsening fever and liver cancer, the drug Nitisinone has been developed for its treatment. Earlier this medicine was imported. Depending on the body weight of the child, Rs 2 crore 20 lakh had to be spent every year on this medicine. Now this expenditure will reduce to Rs 2.5 lakh. The drug Eliglustat has been developed for the treatment of Gaucher’s disease. Due to this disease, the patient’s liver gets enlarged and he starts feeling tired. Wilson’s disease causes RBC hemolysis. Indigenous medicine Triantin has been developed for its treatment. Cannabidiol has been developed for the treatment of Dravet-Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. Its solution is given through mouth. Earlier, all the medicines available for these rare diseases had to be imported and the treatment was very expensive. A rare disease is a condition that affects very few people. In any country at a time only six to eight percent of the population suffers from such diseases. According to the Health Ministry, there will be about ten crore such patients in India and about 80 percent of these diseases are genetic.

NACIN and NADT mutually recognize the importance of collaboration in sharing resources such as best practices, expert faculty, training materials, and innovative technologies. This cooperation focuses on areas of mutual interest including sharing of resources and education science in taxation, law and legal system, commercial and procedural law, economic and administrative law, data analysis, cutting-edge investigative techniques like dark web exploration. Apart from this, risk management and ethics also come under the scope of this MoU.

9 Jammu and Kashmir government fired employees under Article 311(2)(c)

Recently,  the Jammu and Kashmir government  fired four employees who were  a  ” threat to the security of the state .” this work has been done under  Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution  . According to Article 311(2), no civil servant shall be dismissed or removed from office or reduced in rank except after an inquiry in which the officer has been informed of the charges against him and a hearing in respect of those charges. Reasonable opportunity has been provided. Exceptions to Article 311(2) :

  • 2(a)- It includes the dismissal, removal from office or reduction in rank of a person on the ground of his conduct which has led to his conviction on a criminal charge; Or
  • 2(b)- When the authority having jurisdiction to dismiss or remove from office or reduce the rank of any person determines that it is not reasonably practicable to hold an inquiry for any reason to be recorded in writing by that authority Must be entered in; Or
  • 2 (c)- Where the President or the Governor, as the case may be, is satisfied that in the interest of the security of the State it is not advisable to hold such investigation.

10 Genesis International signs agreement with Survey of India (SOI) for digital mapping of  cities

 In a move towards transforming  India’s  mapping ecosystem, leading 3D mapping  company  Genesis International signed a strategic agreement with  the country’s national survey and mapping authority,  Survey of India (SOI)  . This collaboration’ can revolutionize the map content of India through the implementation of ‘ 3D Digital Twin Mapping Programme ‘. This is in line with India’s National Geospatial Policy 2022, which emphasizes self-reliance in geospatial data. This initiative will provide previously unavailable data, including high-precision 3D data, Digital Terrain Model (DTM), Digital Surface Model (DSM) and ortho imagery. The project will leverage Genesis’ navigable maps of India and its sensor constellation. The company will access datasets from SOI’s Continuous Operating Reference System (CORS) network of 902 stations across all states, which provides real-time, high-precision positioning data.

 Amid growing disruptions to satellite communications and GPS systems,  NASA  has  unveiled the Atmospheric Waves Experiment  (AWE), highlighting the critical need to understand space weather. The imminent launch of AWE has the potential to provide unprecedented insight into these interconnected dynamics, given Earth’s extreme weather events influencing space phenomena in Atmospheric Gravity Waves (AGWs)  Space weather  is a term used   to describe changing conditions in the space environment around Earth and other planets , which are influenced by the Sun’s activity and the interaction between the solar wind and the planets’ magnetic fields. Are. Space weather can affect various aspects of human activities and technologies, such as satellite-based communications, navigation and power systems, as well as the health and safety of astronauts and aviation and space exploration. Gravitational waves in a stable atmosphere occur when a temperature difference between rising air and the surrounding atmosphere produces a force that restores the air to its initial position. Atmospheric gravity waves (AGW)  move within a stable atmospheric layer, their presence being particularly prevalent in regions where air is moving upward, facilitating the formation of distinctive cloud structures. Notably, these AGWs extend into space, playing a role in shaping space weather. As a lead NASA experiment under the Heliophysics Explorers program, AWE aims to study the relationship between lower atmospheric waves and space weather.

Kerala  ‘s pioneering  Responsible Tourism (RT)  mission  has won global praise by securing a place in the prestigious list of case studies curated   by  the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This recognition not only reflects the Mission’s commitment towards eco-friendly tourism, but also serves as an inspiration for further progress in promoting sustainable travel. The inclusion of Kerala’s RT Mission in the global list of UNWTO case studies is a notable achievement, bringing it alongside  Maharashtra  ‘s  Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve Project  as the only Indian representatives in this esteemed list. These two case studies from India are among the seven G20 countries recognized by UNWTO, which include Mexico, Germany, Mauritius, Turkey, Italy, Brazil and Canada.

13 World’s first 3D-printed temple unveiled in Telangana

Telangana  has   unveiled  the world’s first 3D-printed temple ,  a groundbreaking structure located at Burugupalli  in  Siddipet district . This innovative creation, achieved through a three-month 3D printing process, is a significant technological achievement. This temple is spread over 4,000 square feet and stands at a height of 35.5 feet. It consists of three distinct parts, each dedicated to a different deity.

14 SEBI Chairman launches IRRA platform to enhance investor risk mitigation

Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)  Chairperson  Madhabi Puri Buch  has   officially launched the Investor Risk Reduction Access (IRRA) platform  at  the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) . Developed under the guidance of Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs) under the supervision of SEBI, the IRRA platform is designed to mitigate the risks faced by investors during technical glitches at the Trading Member (TM) end, including primary and catastrophic events. Both recovery sites are included.

15 SEBI eases rules for non-profit organizations to raise funds on social stock exchanges

 The Securities and Exchange Board of India-SEBI  in   Mumbai has  relaxed the norms for raising funds for non-profit organizations-NPOs  in  the social stock market .  Under the proposal, SEBI has advised to reduce the minimum issue size and application size for NPOs  . SEBI has reduced the minimum issue size of Zero Coupon Zero from Rs 1 crore to Rs 50 lakh. The minimum investment amount for investors has also been reduced from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 10,000. SEBI Chairman Madhabi Puri Buch said that the SEBI Board has approved these proposals. SEBI has also allowed non-profit organizations to disclose past social impact reports in fund raising documents as per the current rules but they must also disclose information about the number of beneficiaries, cost per beneficiary and administrative expenses. SEBI Board has also given permission to start Small and Medium Real Estate Investment Trusts. Of these, the trust will have a minimum asset value of at least Rs 50 crore compared to the current minimum asset value of Rs 500 crore.

18 Berkshire Hathaway sold 2.46% stake in Paytm, loss of Rs 507 crore

Berkshire Hathaway,  backed  by world-renowned investor  Warren Buffett, sold its entire 2.46 percent stake in  Paytm  ‘s parent company  One97 Communications   in the open market  for Rs 1,371 crore . Berkshire Hathaway has sold its stake through open market for about ₹1370 crore. Berkshire Hathaway  lost about Rs 507 crore in this investment  hadThe investment on his behalf was made in Paytm five years ago. This deal has been done with the assistance of JP Morgan.
