Senior Congress leader A Revanth Reddy  took   oath as the Chief Minister  of  Telangana .  Mr Reddy was administered the oath of office by Telangana Governor  Tamilisai Soundararajan at a ceremony at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad. He   became the second Chief Minister of Telangana . Apart from Mr Reddy, 11 members of his cabinet also took oath as ministers. In this, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who took oath as Deputy Chief Minister   , and former Telangana Congress chief  N. Uttam Kumar Reddy  is included. The eight other ministers who took the cabinet oath include Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dana Anasuya, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Konda Surekha and Jupalli Krishna Rao. All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge, senior leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Union Minister  Arjun Munda  has   been given the additional charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare  , in addition to his existing portfolio of the  Ministry of Tribal Affairs . Minister of State for Agriculture  Shobha Karandlaje  has been given the charge of Minister of State for Food Processing Industries  , in addition to her existing portfolio  . Rajiv Chandrashekhar  has been given the charge of Minister of State for Jal Shakti  and  Dr. Bharati Praveen Pawar has been  given  the charge of Minister of State for Tribal Affairs,  in addition to their existing portfolios  .

Former President Ramnath Kovind  released   the book Samaveda of New India  in  New Delhi . This book   is a compilation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speeches about the country’s Constitution . Shri Kovind said that if every citizen of the country has adequate knowledge about the Constitution, then everything will become easy. He said that people will understand that the makers of the Constitution were concerned about everyone till the last citizen of the society. Shri Kovind said that the Prime Minister has described the Constitution of the country as the only book for the code of conduct and guidance of the government.

4 NITI Aayog releases first delta ranking of ABP

Tiriyani Kumuram Bheem block of Asifabad, Telangana has been ranked first in the first delta ranking of Aspirational Block Program (ABP) announced by NITI Aayog today. The second place was given to Kaushambi block of Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. The rankings were announced at a virtual event at NITI Aayog, which saw participation from over 329 aspirational districts and 500 aspirational blocks from across the country. The ranking of the blocks was calculated based on the performance of the blocks and the progress achieved in the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the month of June, 2023. Ranking the blocks based on KPIs is a core strategy of the program which is based on the spirit of competitive and cooperative federalism. This is the first time that a ranking of blocks has been calculated as part of the Aspirational Block Programme. Apart from ABP, ADP rankings for the month of October, 2023 were also announced in which Rayagada (Odisha) and Jamui (Bihar) secured the first and second ranks respectively. Awarded to top rankers in the thematic and overall categories of ADP. In a unique initiative, top rankers of ABP and ADP will be deployed on the Wall Fall in NITI Aayog.

International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT),  Manesar  , Haryana,  under  the Ministry of Heavy Industries, organized “ ADAS Show-2023 ”  in partnership with Ayra  – a global business information company  . However, there are concerns about job displacement and spread of misinformation due to artificial intelligence (AI).

7 South Eastern Coalfields Limited to use “Miyawaki” plantation system

To boost forest cover  in  Chhattisgarh , South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) will plant trees using Miyawaki method   for the first time in its operational areas   around  Gevra mine  , the country’s largest  coal mine .  The Miyawaki method of tree planting originated in Japan in the 1970s. This tree planting technique involves planting every square meter of native trees, shrubs and groundcover plants. This method is ideal for small plots of land and creates a dense canopy of tall trees. The species selected for ‘Miyawaki Plantation’ are usually plants that do not require much maintenance and can survive adverse weather conditions, water scarcity, grow rapidly under existing conditions and Can form a dense layer of green cover.

 Former  Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori  has   been released from Lima’s Barbadillo prison on humanitarian grounds after 16 years of imprisonment. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison for human rights abuses during the decade from 1990 to 2000. Peru’s Supreme Court ruled in 2017 to uphold the controversial amnesty granted to them, despite criticism from the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the victims’ families. Fujimori was sentenced in 2009 for the murders of 25 people in 1991 and 1992 but was pardoned by former President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski in December 2017. After this, in 2018, under pressure from the Human Rights Court, this pardon was overturned and Fujimori was sent to jail.

Its theme for the year 2023 is: ” Advancing Innovation for Global Aviation Development “. ICAO is a United Nations agency that coordinates international air navigation. It was established in the year 1944 to manage the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention). India is a member of ICAO and its headquarters   is located in Montreal, Canada .
