2.Announcement of establishment of Indo-US Education and Skill Development Working Group in line with cooperation plans

7.Approval to continue the revised scheme of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan from 1st April to 31st March 2026 this year
The Economic Working Committee of the Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the continuation of the revised Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan . This scheme will continue from 1st of this month till 31st March 2026 . The scheme will be expanded to all states and union territories. Five thousand nine hundred and 11 crore rupees will be spent on this scheme. In this, the share of the Center will be three thousand seven hundred crore rupees and the share of the state will be two thousand two hundred and eleven crore rupees.
8.Shri Prahlad Joshi launches web portal for Mine Accident Reporting in Coal Sector
Recently, the Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi launched a web portal developed by the Ministry of Coal which will prove to be helpful in real time reporting of accidents in the coal mine sector . This portal has been developed by Coal India Limited (CIL) to analyze the root causes of accidents and facilitate their prevention and accident investigation. This portal will facilitate monitoring of the steps taken by coal companies for inquiry recommendations with a view to reduce such accidents. India’s coal sector during the year 2021-22 produced a record 777.23 MT as compared to 716 million tonnes (MT) in the fiscal year 2020-21, showing a growth of 8.55 per cent.
9.Two-day UNESCO Workshop on Principles and Recommendations for Creating a Museum of Tribal Freedom Fighters Organized in New Delhi
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has presented ‘ Principles and Recommendations for Creating a Museum of Tribal Freedom Fighters ‘ at UNESCO House in New Delhi .’ Organized a two-day workshop (11-12 April 2022). The program was coordinated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) which has been working on various development projects with the ministry over the years. These museums are meant to recognize the contribution of tribes in the freedom movements and to preserve their tribal cultural heritage. Mr. Eric Falt, Director and Representative of UNESCO, in his address appreciated the Government of India for this unique effort to develop Tribal Freedom Fighters’ museums as this initiative would be the first of its kind in the world.
10.Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia Launches First Flying Training Organization of North East Region
The Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and the Chief Minister of Assam , Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the first Flying Training Organization (FTO) of the North Eastern Region at Lilabari, Assam .started the Lilabari is among nine FTOs to be set up by June 2022 at five airports in India, including Belagavi and Kalaburagi in Karnataka, Jalgaon in Maharashtra and Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. M/s Redbird Aviation had won the rights to set up an FTO at Lilabari. Airports Authority of India has taken land on lease for FTO and obtained statutory clearances from DGCA and BCAS. With the establishment of these FTOs, India aims to become a global hub of pilot training. Currently, Lilabari has two aircraft – the Tecnam P2008 JC single engine and the Tecnam P2006T multi engine – deployed for flight training of the Redbird, which will be increased to 5 by the end of the year.
11.IAF completes rescue operation in Deoghar
Indian Air Force in coordination with NDRF , local administration and Army has completed the rescue of 35 people stranded in a ropeway service located in Trikut hills in Deoghar district of Jharkhand . The IAF used two Mi-17V5s, one Mi-17, an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and a Cheetah helicopter to fly for more than 26 hours in this mission. The two-day long operation saw two tragic accidents where despite best efforts people could not be safely rescued due to the complex nature of the rescue operation.

13.’Svanidhi Se Samridhi’ scheme launched in additional 126 cities across the country
Shri Manoj Joshi , Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) launched ‘ Swanidhi Se Samridhi ‘ in 126 cities in addition to 14 States/UTs in the presence of senior officials from the States/UTs and various Central Ministries.’ Launched the plan. ‘Svanidhi Se Samridhi’ is an additional scheme of PMSVANIDHI which was launched on 4 January 2021 in Phase-I in 125 cities covering around 35 lakh street vendors and their families. Also, 22.5 lakh schemes have been approved, which include Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, 16 lakh insurance benefits under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana and 2.7 lakh pension benefits under Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana. Keeping in view the success of Phase-I, MoHUA has expanded the scheme in additional 126 cities of the country with an aim to cover 28 lakh street vendors and their families with a target of 20 lakh plan approvals for the financial year 2022-23. Expansion has started. The remaining cities will be gradually linked to this scheme.

21.Central government raised Rs 96,000 crore under asset monetization
