1.India sends first wheat harvest to Afghanistan from Chabahar port of Iran :-

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani and Foreign Minister of Iran Javed Zarif sent a first wheat gathering from India to Afghanistan through joint video conferences. This consignment is being sent through the Chabahar port of Iran.

This supply is in the order of India’s decision to send 1.1 million tonnes of wheat as aid to Afghanistan. During the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Iran in May 2016, the tripartite agreement of transit corridor for supply from Afghanistan to Chabahar port came into existence.

Similar consignments of wheat will be sent to Afghanistan in the next few months.

 

2.Minister of State for External Affairs MJ at the two-day United Arab Emirates tour Akbar :-

Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar is on a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates. Mr. M.J. Akbar met with the Minister of State of Defense Mohammad bin Ahmad Al-Bawardi in Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi.

In the dialogue, all aspects of bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest will be discussed.

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that both the government and the business will go well only if the economic growth can increase.

In a program in Mumbai, he said that the government should adopt appropriate measures to create a favorable environment in the country and to attract investment. Mr. Naidu appealed to promote industrialized moral norms.

He said that industry, ie India Inc and government machinery, can both ensure that every asset is productive. The Vice President said that agriculture and industry are two basic pillars of our economy.

 

4.Under the National Judicial Data Grid, the working of all the high courts of the country will be digital by the end of this year- Justice Madan B. Lotus :-

The Supreme Court’s e-Committee Chairman Justice Madan B. Lokur has said that under the National Judicial Data Grid, the working of all the high courts of the country will become digital by the end of this year.

He said that e-filing will be implemented in next phase and stomp charges will also be purchased online.

While inaugurating the Madras High Court’s Digitization Center, Justice Lokur said this.

 

5.GST Network started surveys to facilitate system for collection of goods and services tax :-

GST Network – GSTN has started the survey to facilitate the system of collection of goods and services tax.

The information about taxpayers’ experiences is being put on the portal. GSTN President Ajay Bhushan Pandey told in New Delhi that nearly five hundred calls are made from the call center to the full-time call center and the people get feedback about their business. Those who have submitted their returns

 

6.Surface Transport and Water Resources Minister Gadkari has said that Russia and Japan companies showed interest in supplying water to Indian waters :-

Surface Transport and Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that Russia and Japan companies have shown interest in supplying water to Indian waters. These include 50 seat aircraft.

Shri Gadkari said that the government plans to convert one hundred and eleven rivers into national waterways and the proposal to use water-driven planes in Yamuna, Ganga and other rivers is under consideration.

In addition to public transport, these aircraft can be used in defense work besides freight, fire extinguishers and rescue operations.

 

7.Central Government has given Rs 8,698 crore for GST compensation :-

The Central Government has given states Rs 8,698 crore to compensate the losses incurred in GST after the implementation of GST. Rajasthan and Arunachal Pradesh, all the states will be compensated.

The minister, headed by Sushil Modi, said on Saturday that taxpayers are facing problems in filing GSTR-2.

The Minister has instructed IT company Infosys, which is handling GSTN’s responsibility to correct the system.

 

8.England first fixture under-17 football World Cup :-

10.Most viewers’ record in tournaments :-

The 17th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup achieved a major feat on Saturday when it became the most watched contest in the history of the tournament. After the third-place playoff between Brazil and Mali, the number of viewers watching the tournament crossed 1230976, which was recorded in 1985 in China during the first FIFA U-17 World Cup.

At the Vivekanand Yuva Bharti Stadium, the 56432 spectators reached this venue, which saw the total number of tournaments totaling 1280459.

To break this record before the match, only 6949 spectators were needed.

In Mexico, 2011, 1002,314 visitors reached the tournament and it is the third tournament to touch the 10 million mark. On October 18, the number of viewers reached a million.
