6.Doubt about projects related to Chabahar Port, India will have to think carefully:

Jay Prakash Ranjan, New Delhi First, the uncertainty about Afghanistan and now the increasing tension between Iran and the US. Both these reasons have raised questions about India’s plans for strategic penetration in Afghanistan and Central Asia by making Chabahar Port in Iran. According to experts, till now the situation in the entire area is not clear, then India has to adopt a policy of moving ahead with understanding the plans related to Chabahar Port. The last trilateral meeting between India, Afghanistan and Iran on the development of Chabahar Port was held in December 2019. After that, India has been different from Iran and Afghanistan, but there are more issues than Chabahar in them. This issue arose in the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Hassan Rouhani in Bishkek, but it was canceled in the end time. Meanwhile, Iran has also invited China and Pakistan to develop this port. It is believed that this proposal has been given in view of the Indian government’s decision not to buy oil from Iran under US pressure.

India has officially not responded to it. Chabahar Port is seen as an answer to the Gwadar port being built by India on behalf of China in India. In such a situation, India will never want that both the said countries invest in Chabahar. In future plans of India, Chabahar is to develop not only a huge industrial park but also through its intentions to make its products available to the middle Asian countries too. There is also trouble in moving ahead of the Chabahar port from the US sanctions. The IPGL, which is specially created for this port, is not getting any partner. In such a situation, Chawahar Port may have to wait longer to climb the head of India’s strategy.
