    1.Ambassadors of 6 countries presented the letter to the President  :-

    Six countries of the Slovak Republic, El Salvador, Ecuador, Uruguay, Fiji and Kenya’s ambassadors and high commissioners presented their credentials to President Shri Ramnath Kovind at a function held in Rashtrapati Bhavan on (July 11, 2018).

    The following are the following ambassadors who have received their proofs:

    1. Mr. Ivan Lankarikam , Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia ,
    2. Mr. Ariel Andrade Gallindo , Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador ,
    3. Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador, Mr. Hector Qiva Jakom ,
    4. Ambassador of Uruguay Mr. Alvaro A. Atlariica
    5. High Commissioner of the Republic of Fiji Shri Yogesh Punj ,
    6. Republic of Kenya High Commissioner Mr. Willie Kipokor beets .

     

    2.Prime Minister will inaugurate ASI’s new headquarters in New Delhi :-

    Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new headquarters of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on the Tilak Marg in New Delhi on July 12, 2018.

    The new headquarters will have state-of-the-art facilities with low energy consumption lighting system and rain water harvesting. There will also be a Central Archaeological Library in this building, in which there will be a collection of about 1.5 lakh books and letter-journals.

     

    3.Union Home Minister launches five police medals :-

    The Union Home Minister has instituted five police medals to promote professional attitude and excellence in police service and to honor such security forces, who work in tense situations and in the remote areas.

    The following are the details of these five non-cash awards, which will increase and strengthen the existing award schemes in the State Police Force and Central Police organizations and Armed Forces-

    Central Home Minister Special Operations Medal: The operation of asignificant nature or a large scale successful campaign which has a direct impact on the security of the state / Union Territory, region or country, or the police / security of the Central / State forces for participation in large relief operations. A scroll signed by the Union Home Minister of the soldiers.

    4.America made a list of 200 billion dollars worth of goods imported from China :-

    The United States has made a list of two hundred billion dollars worth of goods imported from China, which can be charged from September. This has led to increased business struggles among the world’s two big economies. President Donald Trump last week threatened to respond to the Chinese action taken in response to the US imports of US $ 25 billion on Chinese goods worth $ 34 billion.

    The US Trade Office will consider the items kept in the list. An official said that it will take about two months to finalize the list. After this, the President will decide on imposing trump charges.

     

    5.Andhra Pradesh in first place in business facilitation list :-

    Andhra Pradesh has got first place in business facilitation, while Telangana is second and Haryana is in third position. Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, released the State Business Improvement Assessment-2012 in New Delhi on Tuesday.

    Jharkhand, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan and West Bengal are among the top 10 places in this list.

    On this occasion, Shri Abhishek said that many states have made significant progress. In the case of property registration, Chhattisgarh is in the first place while Rajasthan in the field of construction, Karnataka is the first in West Bengal in terms of labor regulation and in the case of environmental registration. Uttarakhand is on the first place in terms of land availability and payment of Odisha taxes.

     

    6.FIFA 2018: Croatia created history, defeated England for the first time in the final :-

    JNN England face Croatia in the second semi-final match of FIFA World Cup 2018. In this crucial match, Croatia made history by breaking England’s dream and making the first place in the World Cup final. In this extremely exciting tournament, Croatia defeated England 2-1. Now Croatia will compete with France in the final.

     

    7.UK fined Rs. 4 crores on Facebook on data theft :-

    Due to not keeping the user’s data secure, the UK’s data regulator has decided to impose a fine of five million pounds (about Rs 4.55 million) on the social media site ‘Facebook’. In the investigation, it has been found that during the referendum of the European Union in 2016, the user’s data on Facebook was misused on both sides.

     

    8.NRI journalist commits his career with Radio Kashmir :-

    Mahendra Kaul, a reputed Bharatwanshi journalist and broadcaster born in Srinagar, died here on Wednesday. The 95-year-old Kaul was ill for some time His wife Rajni and daughter Kalyani were present at the London-based residence.

     

    9.BSNL launches nation’s first internet telephony service, now without SIM, will be able to call :-

    BSNL has launched India’s first Internet telephony service . This allows the service users to call anywhere and anywhere in India through the Wings Mobile app. This will prove beneficial for users who are struggling with poor network connectivity. But the internet is able to access it. Let us know that before this, users were able to make Internet calls through the mobile app. But this facility was not available on landline and mobile numbers.

     

    10.Organizing International Round Table Conference on ‘Data for New India’   :-

    The Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation ( MoSPI )  has   organized a  two-day International Round Table Conference on  ‘Data for New India’ in New Delhi  .

    The aim of the Round Table Conference was to identify innovative ideas for improving the statistical system in India, indicating the best practices made in advanced countries like Canada, UK and Australia. This kind of conference was organized in India for the first time.  The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Dasadananda Gowda, Union Minister for Statistics and Program Implementation.
