1 The Union Cabinet has approved the MoU signed between the Government of India and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure on August 22, 2022

The Union Cabinet  approved   the MoU signed between the Government of India  and  the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure-CDRI on August 22, 2022. The approval of this agreement   will facilitate CDRI to enjoy  exemptions, immunities and privileges as required  under  Section 3 of the United Nations (Privileges and Immunities) Act, 1947 , by virtue of which it can legally  function as an independent and independent entity. He will be able to execute tasks internationally with greater efficiency. CDRI is a global partnership of country governments, United Nations agencies and programs, development banks and financial systems, the private sector, academic institutions, with the objective of Strengthening infrastructure capacity to deal with climate and disaster risks  , so as to ensure sustainable development.  The CDRI was launched  by  the Prime Minister during the United Nations Climate Action Summit  in  New York  on  September 23, 2019 . It  is a major global initiative launched by the Government of India  and is seen as part of India’s efforts to achieve global leadership in matters related to climate change and disaster management. Thirty one countries, six international organizations and two private sector organizations so far  Has become a member of CDRI. Many countries, economically developed, developing and most vulnerable to climate change and disasters, are continuously joining it, due to which the number of its members is increasing.

2 International Green Hydrogen Conference 2023 will be organized in New Delhi from July 5 to 7

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy  will organize the International Green Hydrogen Conference 2023 from July 5 to 7  in  New Delhi  next month  .  The objective of the conference is to bring together the scientific and industrial community from around the world on a single platform to discuss the recent advances and emerging technologies in the entire  green hydrogen value chain. It also aims to encourage a systemic approach to meet global targets of decarbonisation through green hydrogen. There will also be discussions on green finance, human resource skilling and startup initiatives.

3 Union Minister Pralhad Joshi unveiled the list of “Important Minerals for India”

The Union Minister for Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs,  Shri Pralhad Joshi unveiled the country’s first report on “ Important Minerals for India ”  prepared by an expert group constituted by the Ministry of Mines  at a function  . Appreciating the efforts of the Ministry, Shri Joshi said that this is the first time that India has prepared a comprehensive list of important minerals keeping in view the requirements of sectors like defence, agriculture, power, pharmaceutical, telecommunication. The minister said that this effort is a roadmap for self-reliant India.  Referring to the  recent successful  visit of Prime Minister  Shri Narendra Modi to the US, Shri Joshi said that India has entered into the prestigious  Mineral Security Partnership (MSP)  to strengthen critical mineral supply chains.has become the newest partner in  Giving information about the identification of 30 important minerals in the released report, the Minister said that at present the Geological Survey of India (GSI) is exploring more and more deep-seated minerals to give more impetus to the development of the country’s mining sectorsignificantly focusing on the discovery of  A global initiative known as 
the Minerals Security Partnership (MSP) ,  also known as  the critical minerals alliance ,  was announced in June 2022 . The primary goal of this partnership is to reduce China’s dominance in the global critical minerals market  and provide a stable supply of critical minerals to the economies of the participating countries. To ensure the availability of MSP   focuses on the supply chains of critical minerals including cobalt, nickel, lithium and 17 “rare earth” minerals. These minerals are essential for manufacturing advanced technologies such as mobile phones, electric vehicles, solar panels and defense applications.

4 Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala launched a mobile app named ‘Report Fish Disease’

Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying  Parshottam Rupala  launched  an Android-based mobile app named ‘ Report Fish Diseases ‘  in New Delhi . This app will prove to be extremely beneficial for the farmers associated with fisheries. Through this app,  the diseases occurring in the fishes of the farmers Will be able to directly connect with District Fisheries Officers and Scientists and get proper advice. Giving information about the benefits of the app, Mr. Rupala said that this app will prove to be very beneficial for the aquaculture sector. He said that fisheries is an important part of the economy. On this occasion, Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Dr. L. Murugan said that this app is a big achievement for the fisheries sector. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has taken many beneficial steps for the fisheries sector.

5 Coal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena inaugurates India Pavilion at World Mining Congress 2023, Australia

6 Indian-origin Aarti Hola-Maini has been appointed as the Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs in Vienna.

Indian-origin  satellite industry expert  Aarti Hola-Maini  has   been appointed as the Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs  in  Vienna . United Nations Secretary-General  Antonio Guterres  appointed him to the post.  Arti, a British national of   Punjab origin  , will replace Simonetta Di Pippo  of  Italy . Aarti Hola-Maini has over 25 years of professional experience in the space sector. She   is a member of the Advisory Board of the Satellite Industry Association of India . The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs promotes international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space, exploration and sustainable economic and social development.

7 Three-day G-20 Infrastructure Working Group meeting held in Uttarakhand’s Narendranagar

The three-day G-20 Infrastructure Working Group meeting  concluded  at  Narendranagar  near  Rishikesh  in  Uttarakhand . In this meeting, the delegates discussed ways to implement Quality Infrastructure Investment Indicators for infrastructure projects. Two sessions were organized on the last day of the meeting. In the first session, the delegates discussed finalizing the future of the Global Infrastructure Hub. In the second session, discussions were held on urban governance capacity building for the cities of the future. Apart from G-20 countries, a total of 63 delegates including eight invited countries and representatives of various organizations participated in this meeting.

10 Capstone Seminar organized by the Indian Air Force for the second ‘Warfare and Aerospace Strategy Program’

The Indian Air Force  organized a Capstone Seminar  at  the Air Force Auditorium, New Delhi to mark the culmination of the   2nd ‘ Warfare and Aerospace Strategy Programme ‘ (WASP). The seminar was organized under the aegis of College of Air Warfare and Center for Air Power Studies.  WASP  a strategic education program of 15 weeks duration to be launched in 2022 and is configured to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of strategy. It primarily aims to foster critical thinkers capable of blending cross-domain knowledge to generate policy driven ideas at a strategic level. The eight officers in the second WASP received extensive training in the areas of strategy, military history, civil-military relations, high defense organization, aerospace power, information warfare, technology and hybrid warfare. Chief of the Air Staff (CAS)  Air Chief Marshal  VR Chowdhary  delivered the keynote address at the seminar.

11 INS Trishul arrived at Seychelles on 19 Jun 2023 to participate in the Seychelles National Day celebrations

INS Trishul arrived at a port in Seychelles  as part of its operational deployment   , reflecting India’s cordial relations with its maritime neighbours. During the visit, the Commanding Officer paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister of Seychelles, H.E. Mr. Sylvester Radegonde and senior defense officers of the Seychelles Armed Forces.  He also called on Mr. Kartik Pandey, High Commissioner of India to Seychelles  . The ship   is scheduled to participate in the Seychelles National Day celebrations  on  29 June 2023 .

12 The Reserve Bank of India released its Financial Stability Report

The Reserve Bank of India  said that  the gross non-performing asset (NPA) ratio of  scheduled  commercial banks  has come  down  to a ten-year low of 3.9 per cent in March 2023. At the same time  , the net non-performing asset ratio  declined   by one percent . The Reserve Bank of India   released its Financial Stability Report . As per the report, commercial banks have set   a significant higher level of  capital-to-risk assets ratio of 17.1 per cent and common equity tier-1 capital ratio of 13.9 per cent in March 2023.  strengthened its capital base with Rs. The report said, the Indian economy presents a picture of resilience. It is supported by strong macroeconomic fundamentals. It said that sustained growth, low inflation, reduction in current account deficit and increase in foreign exchange reserves, ongoing fiscal consolidation and strong financial system are leading the economy towards sustained growth.

 The recently released  Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2023 (GSER 2023) by Startup Genome  provides a comprehensive analysis of the startup ecosystem across the globe. 14 Infosys inks $454 million deal with Danske Bank

15 Alappuzha’s Dr. K.K. Venugopal receives IMA award

 Chief Consultant,  Respiratory Medicine, Alappuzha  (city in Kerala)   General  Hospital, Dr. K.K. Venugopal  has been selected for an award instituted by the Indian Medical Association (IMA)  to celebrate  National Doctor’s Day  on 1 July  . Around eight lakh devotees from India and abroad  participated in the  ‘ Bahuda Yatra ‘ of Lord Jagannath  at  Puri . This journey is a celebration of the return of Lord Jagannath and his siblings. Lord Jagannath, his elder brother  Lord Balabhadra  and his  sister Goddess Subhadra  returned  to Sri Jagannath Temple   on three majestic wooden chariots after completing  their annual nine-day stay at Sri Gundicha Temple . The giant chariot will stand in front of the Shri Jagannath temple till Friday evening. Lord Jagannath will be decked up in ‘ Suna Besha ‘ or golden attire, which traditionally attracts lakhs of devotees from across the world.

19 ISRO confirms – Chandrayaan 3 will be launched on 13th of next month

Chandrayaan-3 will be  launched  on the 13th of next month  at around 2.30 pm. Indian Space Research Organisation- ISRO  will launch its ambitious mission Chandrayaan-3. The purpose of this launch   is to demonstrate the technology related to landing a spacecraft on the moon . Chandrayaan-3   is the follow on mission of Chandrayaan-2 . Its objective   is to demonstrate the end-to-end technical process for safely landing on the lunar surface . Chandrayaan-3 has indigenous lander module, propulsion module and a rover. It will demonstrate new technology required for interplanetary missions. The main objectives of Chandrayaan-3 are to ensure a safe and smooth landing on the lunar surface, landing of the rover and conduct of scientific experiments.

20 Government approved schemes worth more than three lakh 70 thousand crore rupees for farmers

The Central Government  has announced  several new beneficial schemes for farmers worth more than three lakh 70 thousand crore rupees. These schemes were approved in the meeting of the Economic Affairs Committee of the Union Cabinet. Under this , Urea Subsidy Scheme to ensure continuous availability of urea to the farmers at the cost of Rs 242 per 45 kg bag.  It was decided to continue. For the years 2022-23 to 2024-25, a provision of more than three lakh 68 thousand crore rupees has been made for urea subsidy. Eight Nano Urea plants to produce 44 crore liquid Nano Urea bottles equivalent to 195 LMT conventional urea in the country will be commissioned by 2025-26. This step taken by the government will increase the income of farmers, encourage natural and organic farming, increase soil fertility and ensure food security. The government has increased the fair and remunerative price of sugarcane by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 315 per quintal for the 2023-24  sugar season. Is done. This will benefit five crore sugarcane farmers and their dependents. Five lakh workers associated with sugarcane production and activities of sugar mills will also be benefited. Briefing about the decision of the Union Cabinet in New Delhi, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that  India  is the first country in the world to produce Nano Urea. The Union Minister informed that the government has   sanctioned more than  one thousand four hundred and 51 crore rupees  under   Market Development Assistance-MDA  to promote the production of organic fertilizers in Gobardhan plants .  Under the Gobardhan Yojana , 500 new plants will be set up to make Kanchan from waste. To overcome the deficiency of sulfur in the soil, the Center has  It has also been decided to start production of sulfur coated urea-urea gold . Dr. Mandaviya said that the Center has also approved PMPRANAM scheme to promote balanced use of alternative fertilizers and chemical fertilizers and encourage States and Union Territories for the same.
