1.PM addresses farmers at the National Conference on Natural Farming

2.Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh launched MIS Portal for Ranking of States/UTs in Land Acquisition Projects

The Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Shri Giriraj Singh has launched MIS (Management) for the Ranking of States/UTs in Land Acquisition Projects under the RFCTLARR Act, 2013 (Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013). Information Systems Portalinitiated. On the occasion the Union Minister also announced that according to the ranking and performance, top 3 states and top 3 districts will be awarded. Department of Land Resources has developed this MIS Portal to get information on various parameters of land acquisition required for ranking of State/ UTs, for reporting by respective States/ UTs on land acquisition for development projects. is a software driven program. The portal has been developed indigenously with zero cost by the department’s NIC team. The link of the portal is larr.dolr.gov.in.

3.Minimum age of marriage of girls to be increased from 18 to 21 years

The Union Cabinet has approved a proposal to increase the minimum age of marriage for women from 18 years to 21 years . Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave this information while announcing this proposal on 15 August 2020. Currently, the minimum age of marriage for men in the country is 21 years, while it is 18 years for women. PM Modi had called the decision to increase the minimum age of marriage for women as necessary to save girls from malnutrition. After the change in the law, now the minimum age of marriage for both men and women will be 21 years. In order to increase the age of marriage for women, the government will amend Section 5 (iii) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, the Special Marriage Act, 1954 and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, all three of which are the minimum age of marriage for women with consent. It is mentioned to be 18 years and 21 years for men.

12.PM to lay foundation stone of Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur on 18th December

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi , will lay the foundation stone of the Ganga Expressway at Shahjahanpur , Uttar Pradesh on December 18, 2021 at around 1 pm . The 594-km long and six-lane expressway will be constructed at a cost of over Rs 36,200 crore . Starting from near Bijauli village of Meerut, the expressway starts from Judapur Dandu village of Prayagraj.Will go till It will pass through Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. Once fully constructed, it will become the longest expressway in Uttar Pradesh connecting the western and eastern regions of the state. A 3.5 km long runway will be constructed at Shahjahanpur on the expressway, which will assist the Air Force aircraft in emergency take-off and landing. There is also a proposal to build an industrial corridor along the expressway.

16.China launches Shijian-6 05 satellites for space exploration

China successfully launched Shijian-6 05 , a new group of satellites, from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China for space exploration and new technology trials . The satellites were launched by a Long March-4B rocket , marking the 400th mission of the Long March series carrier rocket. Information about the number of satellites has not been specified. As the message reads, they will be used for space exploration and new technology tests.
