1.Prime Minister will launch National Rural Swaraj campaign in Madhya Pradesh on Panchayati Raj today :-

Image result for pmPrime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will go to Madi on 24th April, 2018 on National Panchayati Raj Din in Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the National Rural Swaraj Abhiyan in a public meeting and will address the representatives of the Panchayati Raj from Mandla across the country.

The Prime Minister will present a road map for the overall development of the tribal people in the next five years on this occasion. Prime Minister will unveil plaque to keep the foundation stone of LPG Bottling Plant of Indian Oil Corporation in Maneri Mandla District. The Prime Minister will also launch the local government’s directory.

 

2.India retains $ 69 billion worth of remittances in 2017, India retains top position :-

The World Bank report states that in 2017, Indians settled abroad sent 69 billion dollars in the country. This is higher than the previous year, but less than the $ 70.4 billion remittance received in 2014. According to the report, increase in Europe, Russia and the United States has marked a significant increase in remittances. It is worth mentioning here that there is a large proportion of remittances for economies of many poor countries. The World Bank says that the high prices of crude oil and the euro and ruble have firmly increased remittances.

 

3.TCS created history as the country’s first 100 billion dollar company :-

Today, TCS’s shares have risen 4% to open and the price of Rs 3,541 per share has gone up. Consequently, the market capitalization of this Tata group company of the IT sector went up to Rs 6,78,002 crore. Earlier, TCS shares rose 7% on Friday. This robustness of the company’s assets increased by Rs 40,000 crore in one day.

 

4.Business beyond borders: International SME Conference -2018 commences in New Delhi :-

5.Delhi Daredevils lose their home win, Punjab beat by 4 runs :-

Image result for Punjab beat by 4 runsJNN The 22nd match of the IPL 2018 at Delhi’s Ferozeshah Kotla ground was played between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils. Delhi’s fate did not change even on its home ground and the series of defeats continued. Delhi defeated Punjab by 4 runs. Now the team of Punjab has reached number one in the points table with 10 points. At the same time Delhi is at the eighth position and it has 2 points. 

 

6.Election Commission takes big decision, Karnataka polls will be more than one hour :-

The Election Commission has taken a major decision on the Karnataka Assembly elections on Monday. Karnataka can now be voted for an hour longer. At first, the time of polling was scheduled till 5 o’clock, the voting will be done till 6 pm. Clearly, the commission will also be hoping to increase the voting percentage through this.

 

7.Finger print or eye scan will be necessary for trading with mobile app: SEBI :-

In this regard, market regulator SEBI has sought opinion from brokers, traders and stock exchanges. According to regulatory sources, final regulation will be made keeping in mind the opinions of all the shareholders. According to SEBI’s proposal, traders and retail investors may need biometric authentication to buy and sell shares in the case of the installed app on smartphones and tablets.

 

8.Reserve Bank Governor Urjit Patel said: The possibility of increasing the country’s growth rate to 7.7 percent in the next financial year :-

Reserve Bank Governor Urgit Patel said in the International Monetary Fund Committee ofFinance  in Washington  that the Indian economy has been good in the current financial year and it is likely to be better in the year 2018-19.

Shri Patel said that one year ago, the growth rate of GDP decreased from seven percent to one percent to 6 decimal six percent. He said that now the global demand is increasing again, which will boost exports, new inventions will accelerate and the growth rate will be faster.

 

9.Rajya Sabha Speaker M. Venkaiah Naidu dismissed India’s Chief Judge Deepak Mishra not being convinced of impeachment :-

Venkaiah Naidu today rejected the impeachment notice against Indian Chief Justice Deepak Mishra. Mr. Naidu dismissed the notice of opposition parties, citing lack of concrete base. The President gave 22 reasons for rejecting the notice after knowing advice from the well-known law and constitutional experts.

The seven opposition parties, including the Congress, gave the notice to Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on the basis of five reasons for misconduct against the Chief Justice. For the first time, an impeachment notice was issued against an existing chief judge.

 

10.Chief of the Naval Admiral Sunil Lamba to participate in Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) -2018 on Tehran, Iran :-

The sixth edition of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IOS) and Conclave of Chiefs is being hosted by Iran in Tehran from 23 to 25 April 2018. The Naval Chief is leading a four-member Indian delegation to this ceremony.

The concept of IONS was done by the Indian Navy in 2008. Regularly important maritime peers between naval navies of the coastal countries of this forum of the Indian Ocean region, through which a common understanding can develop for the future, strengthening mutual cooperation through providing an open and inclusive forum for discussion was there.

 

11.PNB approached Hong Kong court for arrest of accused Nirav Modi in a fraud of Rs 13 thousand crore :-

According to a senior PNB official, the officials of Hong Kong have been contacted and a Recovery Written Petition has been filed against Neerav Modi’s companies. 
The official said that under the recovery process the bank is planning to contact other courts, where Nirvava Modi’s assets are located.

 

12.Students from class IX to XII should participate in sports classes every day in CBSE schools :-

CBSE chairman Anita Karwal told that the board has prepared 150 page manuals giving details of sports-related guidelines.
