The winners of the 66th Grammy Awards  have been announced. This time   this event was organized in Los Angeles, America . The Grammy Award is considered the biggest award in the music world. This year’s Grammys became even more special for India as  composers Ustad Zakir Hussain, Rakesh Chaurasia, Shankar Mahadevan, Selvaganesh V and Ganesh Rajagopalan  ‘s band ‘ Shakti ‘ won the Best Global Music Album  award  for  ‘ This Moment ‘. Taylor Swift won  her  13th Grammy  , while  Billie Eilish  ‘s What Was I Made For? The song from  the film  ‘Barbie ‘ was declared  the best song  of the year. Pandit Ravi Shankar  was a sitarist and composer from India.  Pandit Ravi Shankar was the first to win the Grammy  , he received this award in 4 different years. After this, in the year 2013, he was also honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammy.

Union Culture Minister  G. Kishan Reddy  laid   the foundation stone of   the country’s  first digital national museum at Salarjung Museum  in  Hyderabad . The Archaeological Survey of India  is setting up this museum. More than one lakh inscriptions in different languages ​​and from different periods will be kept in it. Union Finance Minister  Nirmala Sitharaman  had last year   announced the establishment of Bharatashree i.e. Bharat Shared Repository of Inscriptions  with  the digitization of one lakh ancient inscriptions .

3 President Nayib Bukele wins landslide victory in El Salvador elections

President  Nayib Bukele  has   won a landslide victory in El Salvador ‘s elections. In the counting of votes,  the people of the Central American country  have elected Nayib Bukele to the post of President for the second time. Before official results were announced, Bukele declared himself the winner and claimed to have received more than 85 percent of the votes. Provisional results showed Bukele received 83 percent support with 31 percent of ballots cast. 42-year-old Bukele’s New Ideas party is expected   to win almost all of the 60 seats in the legislative body.

4 Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad arrived in New Delhi last night on a week-long visit to India.

Fiji  ‘s Deputy Prime Minister  Biman Prasad  reached New Delhi on a week-long visit to India.  He was welcomed by Paramita Tripathi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs  . The Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji is also his country’s Minister of Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development and Statistics. Viman Prasad is also the first foreign leader to visit Ayodhya after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony held on January 22. His visit will last from 4 to 10 February and he will depart for home on 11 February. Biman Prasad had earlier visited India in February 2023.

Minister of State for Science and Technology  Dr Jitendra Singh  launched   multidisciplinary post-doctoral courses  in  bio-sciences  to address  global health challenges . Dr. Singh said that one thousand Ph.D. will be created in the next 5 years to promote innovation in the important healthcare sector. Students will be enrolled. Shri Jitendra Singh claimed that this research program will help Indian students to undertake world-class research in the field of biotechnology. Regarding the development of biomedical devices, diagnostics and therapeutic technologies, he said that this will provide indigenous solutions to the country, which is an important step towards self-reliant India.

6 REC Limited wins Best Green Bond – Corporate Award at The Asset Triple A Awards – 2024 for Sustainable Financing

REC Limited  has   been awarded the prestigious Best Green Bond – Corporate Award  at  The Asset Triple A Awards for Sustainable Finance – 2024 . REC Limited is a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power and a leading NBFC. REC has received the award for its green bond issuance of US$ 750 million due in April 2023. This was the first US green bond issued by India after assuming the responsibility of G20 presidency. Additionally, it was the largest-ever senior green bond tranche from a South or South-East Asian issuer.

7 Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the new headquarters of the National Dental Commission

Taking an important step towards dental health care,  Union Health and Family Welfare Minister  Dr.  Mansukh Mandaviya  virtually   inaugurated the new headquarters of the National Dental Commission (NDC) . Along with this,  the foundation stone of three nursing colleges  in  Andhra Pradesh  and  one in Jammu and Kashmir  was also laid. Additionally, Dr. Mandaviya   chaired the MoU between Dental Council of India  and  Quality Council of India for evaluation and rating of undergraduate dental colleges.  Also launched the National Dental Register under the National Health Digital Mission  .  Along with  Dr. Mandaviya, Tripura  Chief  Minister Dr. Manik Saha  and  Jammu and Kashmir  Lieutenant Governor Mr. Manoj Sinha also participated in this program   virtually.

8 RDO successfully flight tests High-Speed ​​Expendable Aerial Target ‘Abhyas’ from Integrated Test Range, Chandipur

Four flight trials of High-Speed ​​Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) – ‘Abhyas’ were  successfully completed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO)  from  the Integrated Test Range  at  Chandipur , Odisha  during January 30 to February 02, 2024   . Flight tests were conducted with four different mission objectives in the modified powered configuration. It used a single booster designed by the Advanced Systems Laboratory, Hyderabad, to provide low launch acceleration. ‘Abhyas’, designed by DRDO’s Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), provides a realistic threat scenario for weapon systems practice. It has been designed for autonomous flight with the help of auto pilot indigenously manufactured by ADE. It has systems to increase radar cross section, visual and infrared required for weapons practice. It has a laptop-based ground control system with which the aircraft can be integrated and perform pre-flight checks, in-flight data recording, post-flight replay and post-flight analysis. ‘Abhyas’ requires minimal logistics and is also cost effective compared to imported counterparts.

Russian astronaut  Oleg Kononenko has created a new history. He has   made a world record for staying in space for the most number of days .  Let us tell you that 59-year-old Kononenko achieved this feat by breaking the record of his own country’s astronaut  Gennady Padalka . Gennady Padalka  had spent more than 878 days in  space and Kononenko has broken this record and is expected to remain in space till June 5. In such a situation, he will complete a thousand days in space   and  by the end of September he  will complete 1,110 days .

13 Bihar launches Nitish device

Bihar  State Disaster Management Authority  has   launched  the NITISH (Novel Initiative Technological Intervention for Safety of Humanlives – NITISH) device , an innovative locket/pendant designed to provide  timely alerts to farmers and the public.  Shape  technique. This technology specifically targets  lightning, floods, heat waves and cold waves. The initiative was launched in view of farmer deaths due to lightning and flash floods, emphasizing the role of the device in saving lives. The NITISH device   has been presented in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna . This tool is affiliated with  Bihar Meteorological Service Centre  , which ensures real-time and accurate meteorological alerts. NITISH device will alert its users half an hour before lightning or flood. The pendant will be charged by body heat. This device will issue alerts in three ways: firstly it will send a voice message; Thereafter its color will change from green to red; And finally this device will continue to heat up until its user turns it off. Keeping in mind the challenges faced by farmers, this equipment has been made waterproof, so that it can function smoothly in different weather conditions.
