This year ‘s Nobel Prize in Economics has been jointly awarded to former US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke and two American economists Douglas W. Diamond and Philip H. Diebwig . These people have been given this award for their research in the field of bank and financial crisis . The award was announced by the Royal Academy of Sweden in Stockholm. The Academy said that the awardees have done significant research on why it is important to save banks from sinking.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs.8,000 crore in Bharuch, Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects costing more than eight thousand crore rupees in Bharuch district of Gujarat . The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the first Bulk Drug Park to be constructed at Jambusar at a cost of Rs . He also laid the foundation stone of the Deep Sea Pipeline project along with several industrial parks at Dahej, including four tribal industrial parks at Walia in Bharuch, Amirgarh in Banaskantha, Chakalia in Dahod and Vanar in Chhota Udaipur. Prime Minister inaugurated Agrofood Park, Seafood Park and MSME at Dahej. The foundation stone of the park was also laid. He also inaugurated caustic soda plant of 800 TPD in Dahej itself. Shri Modi also addressed a rally in Anand.

3. ‘Tele-Mental Health Support and Networking (Tele-Manas)’ initiative launched in all states on the occasion of World Mental Health Day

A new achievement was achieved in the field of mental health on the occasion of World Mental Health Day . The Governor of Karnataka , Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot launched the initiative of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) , Bengaluru , through virtual medium , Tele Mental Health Support and Networking (Tele-Manas) in all states.set out on. Recognizing the mental health crisis arising during the COVID-19 pandemic and the urgent need to set up a digital mental health network that will address the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Government of India, in the Union Budget 2022-23, announced a National Telecom. Mental Health Program (NTMHP) announced. Tele-Manas aims at providing free tele-mental health services round the clock to the people all over the country, especially in remote and underprivileged areas. The program comprises a network of 23 tele-mental health centers of excellence. NIMHANS is the nodal center and the International Institute of Information Technology – Bangalore (IIITB) provides technical support. Apart from this, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bangalore and National Health System Resource Center (NHRSC) will also provide technical support.

4. Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade notifies Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups

Recently, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) , Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched a credit guarantee scheme for startups .has been notified. The scheme has been launched with the objective of providing credit guarantee to the loans given by Member Institutions (MIs) in order to finance eligible startups. MIs include financial intermediaries (banks, financial institutions, non-banking financial companies). These institutions are subject to lending/investing as well as the eligibility criteria approved under the scheme. The scheme will help in providing mortgage-free required loan funds to start-ups. Credit guarantee cover under this scheme, Will be transaction based and umbrella based. The exposure limit will be Rs 10 crore per case or the actual outstanding credit amount (whichever is less) in individual cases. In respect of Transaction Based Guarantee Cover, the guarantee cover is procured by the Member Institutions (MIs) on a single eligible borrower basis. Transaction based guarantee will encourage lending by banks/NBFCs to eligible startups. The umbrella-held guarantee cover will provide guarantee to Venture Debt Funds (VDFs) registered under the Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) rules of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

5. Union Home and Cooperation Minister presided over the 70th plenary meeting of the North Eastern Council

The Union Home and Cooperation Minister held the 70th Plenary of the North Eastern Council in Guwahati on September 9, 2022.presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by the Governors, Chief Ministers, Union Ministers and Ministers of State for North Eastern Affairs and senior officers of various departments of the Center and North Eastern States. In his address, the Union Home Minister said that there were three major obstacles in the path of development of Northeast for decades – violence and unrest by extremist groups, lack of rail, road and air connectivity in the Northeast and lack of emphasis on development of the Northeast. The Union Home Minister said that the languages, cultures, The whole of India considers food and costumes as its heritage and the Government of India is trying its best to preserve and promote the natural identity of this region. India’s economy is currently ranked fifth in the world and in order to contribute to making it second in the world, it is necessary to ensure financial discipline by the northeastern states. Natural agriculture and digital agriculture are a matter of priority for the Government of India. For certification of products, a multi-state cooperative society is being considered by merging Amul and 5 other cooperative societies.

6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the first phase of the educational complex – Modi Educational Complex

The Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the educational complex for needy students, Modi Educational Complex, in Ahmedabad (Gujarat)inaugurated the first phase of This project will provide facilities for the holistic development of the students. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth one thousand 448 crores related to agriculture, electricity, water supply and urban infrastructure in Jamnagar, Gujarat. On this occasion, Shri Modi launched Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation Scheme Link-3 and Link-7. With this, now the water of Narmada river will start getting to Jam Nagar, Rajkot, Devbhoomi, Dwarka and Porbandar in Saurashtra region. About one lakh people of the area will be benefited by the 170 km long water supply pipeline laid at a cost of Rs.1,000 crore. The Prime Minister also inaugurated a 40 MW solar power plant at Haripar village in Jam Nagar.

The Election Commission has allotted the name ‘ Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena ‘ to the faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde . The Commission, while rejecting the election symbol of the party selected by Shinde faction , said that these three symbols are not in the list of notified free symbols. The Shinde faction has been asked to submit a new list of three symbols. The Election Commission has allotted the name ‘ Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) ‘ to the faction led by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray . The commission has allotted a burning torch as the election symbol to the party in the Andheri East by-election.

11. ISRO’s Chandrayaan-2 spectrometer maps sodium abundance on Moon for the first time

According to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) , the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter’s X-ray spectrometer ‘Class’ has mapped the abundant sodium on the Moon for the first time . This is the first attempt to measure sodium on the lunar surface on a global scale using X-ray fluorescent spectra. CLASS was built at ISRO’s UR Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru. This report has recently been published in ‘The Astrophysical Journal Letters’. The new findings from Chandrayaan-2 provide an opportunity to study surface-exosphere interactions on the Moon.

Tennis star Novak Yokovic won his 90th ATP title by defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets in the final of the Astana Open in Kazakhstan . 21-time Grand Slam winner Yokovic defeated Tsitsipas of Greece 6-3, 6-4. This is the fourth title of Wimbledon champion Yokovic this year, including in Rome and Tel Aviv. With the impressive win at Astana, Yokovic joins Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in the list of players to have won 90 or more ATP titles in the Open Era.

14. NCC Girls Hockey Team wins Nehru U-17 Girls Hockey Tournament

National Cadet Corps Director General Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh felicitated the NCC Girls Hockey Team for winning the 28th Nehru U-17 Girls Hockey Tournament . This team defeated Madhya Pradesh Women’s Hockey Academy 6-0 in the final held on 09 October 2022 in New Delhi. Sakshi Rana of NCC Girls Hockey Team was adjudged ‘Player of the Tournament’ for her outstanding performance throughout the tournament and Tamannaah Yadav was declared ‘Player of the Match’ for scoring three goals in the final.

15. Harmanpreet Singh and Phyllis Albers named FIH Player of the Year

In hockey , India’s star defender and drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh has been awarded the FIH Men’s Player of the Year Award. He has achieved this feat for the second time in a row. 26-year-old Harmanpreet is only the fourth player in the world to do so. Men before him include Tiune de Nooyer of the Netherlands, Jamie Dwyer of Australia and Arthur Van Doren of Belgium. Meanwhile, Dutch player Felice Albers was adjudged the winner in the women’s section.

President Draupadi Murmu paid tributes to Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das on his 145th birth anniversary on October 9, 2022 . Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das was a thinker, litterateur, journalist, language-educator, politician, freedom fighter, social reformer, a pioneer of renaissance in Odisha . October 9, 1877Born in Puri district of Odisha, Gopabandhu Das was always ready to serve the helpless along with empowering Oriya language, literature and culture during his lifetime. He was a favorite of Gandhiji and a confidant of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Gopabandhu Das was a language lover, social worker, writer as well as a freedom fighter. He went to jail several times during the freedom struggle. Gopabandhu was imprisoned in the country’s historic Hazaribagh Jail during the year 1922-24 for his participation in the freedom movement. His influence in Odisha was such that his period is known as ‘Satyavadi Era’. His autobiography ‘Bandir Autobiography’ is one of the classic works of Odia. Bengal, Central Provinces under common administration, He was instrumental in integrating the Odia speaking areas of Madras and Bihar-Odisha. He raised a strong voice for taking effective measures to eradicate floods and famine in Odisha. He advocated the restoration of the right of the people of Odisha to manufacture salt free from excise duty.

Samajwadi Party founder and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has passed away. He was 82 years old. Mr. Yadav was ailing for a long time. Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav was an MP from Mainpuri and was elected to the Lok Sabha seven times . He was also the Defense Minister of the country . He has two sons. His son Akhilesh Yadav is currently the president of the Samajwadi Party. Saifai village of Uttar Pradesh in 1939 Born Mulayam Singh Yadav was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice. He was also the Defense Minister from 1996 to 1998. Inspired by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Madhu Limaye and other socialist leaders, Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav entered politics and became a prominent face in regional politics. He was known as ‘Netaji’ among party workers. His supporters also called him ‘Dhartiputra’. Earlier he also used to do wrestling. Shri Mulayam Singh was a lecturer in a college in Karhal. He was first elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1967 and became an MLA for 10 times. In 1992, Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav founded the Samajwadi Party and a year later, in alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party, gave power to his party.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of Dr Temsula Aao . Dr Temsula played an important role in bringing fame to the Naga culture through his literary works . Temsula Aao, an English-language poet and scholar from Nagaland, passed away at the age of 77 at a hospital in Dimapur. Temsula Ao won many important awards throughout her career. Sahitya Akademi Award for ‘ Laburnum for My Head ‘ (Short Stories) in the year 2013 and Governor’s Gold Medal by the Government of Meghalaya in 2009 . Padma Shri in 2007 for Temsula Aao met. Aao had served as the Director of North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur between 1992 and 1997 on deputation from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU). Two short story collections of Temsula Aao have been published. One of these is Hills Called Home: Stories from the War Zone . The second short story collection Zubaan and Laburnum for My Head is Penguin India (2009).
