7.India to host Women’s Under-18 and Under-19 SAFF Football Championship next year

India will host the Women’s Under-18 and Under-19 SAFF Football Championship next year . The Women’s Under-18 SAIF Championship will be held from March 3 to 14, while the Under-19 Championship will be held from July 25 to August 3. All India Football Association announced these events. Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India will participate in the Women’s Under-18 SAIF Championship. The five teams will play in a round robin format and the top two teams will advance to the finals. There will be 6 teams in the Under-19 SAIF Championship, in which apart from India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka will participate. Two groups will be formed and each group will have three teams. The group stage matches will be in round robin format. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

8.ISRO is developing an SSLV with private participation

According to Union Minister Jitendra Singh , the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is in the process of developing a Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) with private participation . This satellite will be launched in the first quarter of 2022. This SSLV will provide a payload capacity of 500 kg in an orbit of 500 km. The development of this SSLV is in its final stages. The first developmental flight of this SSLV is targeted to be launched during the first quarter of 2022. The government has sanctioned Rs 169 crore to develop this project. Private industry is helping to realize the hardware and infrastructure for the SSLV development project, including:

  2. Nozzle Sub-system
  3. inter-phase structures
  4. actuator motors

12.TVS Motor and BMW Motorrad enter into agreement to make electric vehicles

India’s TVS Motor Company will develop electric vehicles (EVs) in India with BMW’s motorcycle brand , joining a host of Indian automakers that have sought to expand their clean mobility offering. The agreement comes at a time when new-age start-ups like Ola Electric and Ather are increasing investments in electric scooters. As part of the expanded scope of the partnership, the companies plan to come up with an electric vehicle platform in addition to the existing internal combustion platform for both global and domestic markets. The first product under the advanced collaboration, an electric model adapted to the urban ecosystem, is expected to be launched in the next 24 months.

13.Adani ties up with SECI for green energy

Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL) by 4667 MW green energy to supply the Solar Energy Corporation ( Solar Energy Corporation Of India – SECI has signed a purchase agreement with). This is the largest ever green power purchase agreement (PPA) in the world. The agreement is part of a construction-linked solar tender of 8,000 MW awarded by SECI to AGEL in June 2020. So far, AGEL has signed close to 6,000 MW of PPAs with SECI for a total generation capacity of 8,000 MW awarded in 2020. The company expects to complete the balance amount of 2000 MW in the coming 2 to 3 months.

Basic literacy and Snkyatmkta index ( Foundational Literacy And Numeracy Index ) on the WB series of major states topped the charts. The index has divided the states into four categories: large states, small states, north east and union territories . The report on ‘ Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Index ‘ has been prepared by ‘ Index on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy ‘ . It was released by Bibek Debroy , chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister ( EAC-PM ) . Baseline Literacy and Numerical Index is an indicator of literacy among children below the age of 10 years. In the category of ‘large states’Bihar remained at the bottom. Kerala topped the ‘ small states ‘ category . Jharkhand has emerged as the worst performing country in the index. Among the union territory , Lakshadweep tops the index with a score of 52.69. Mizoram topped the Northeast category with a score of 51.64 . More than 50 percent of the states scored below the national average of 28.05. In the Union Territory category, Ladakh was listed at the bottom. In the North East category, Arunachal Pradesh came last.

20.India-Vietnam sign agreement for cooperation in the IT sector

23.Telangana’s new rules on child labor

The Telangana government has issued a revised guideline to prevent child labor in line with the rules framed by the Centre . State government will take strict action against those who employ or force children below 14 years of age.Will do As per the revised norms, if anyone attempts to employ children below the age of 14 years, he can be punished with a jail term of six months to one year. A fine ranging from 20 thousand to 50 thousand rupees will also be imposed on that person. The Labor Department will also constitute a Task Force Committee under the chairmanship of the District Collector concerned to effectively monitor and curb the problem of child labor. As per the revised guidelines, a film director has to take permission from the concerned collector for including children in films or serials. Children will only be allowed to work for five hours, with a break after three hours. Also, the child will be allowed to participate in the shooting only for 27 days. If more than five children are participating in the shooting, So a person has to be appointed for supervision. 25% of the child’s remuneration has to be deposited in the bank. This amount will be given to the child after he attains majority.
