1.Enforcement Directorate imposed fine of one billion twenty one crore rupees on the Board of Control for Cricket in India and others on alleged infringement of FEMA law :-

The Enforcement Directorate has imposed a fine of over Rs 21 crore on the Board of Control for Cricket in India, its former president N Srinivasan, former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi and others. All of them are accused of sending two billion 43 crore rupees to South Africa in violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act-FEMA during IPL Cricket in 2009.

2.Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh launches online analysis tool for overseeing overseas contributions under FCRA :-

Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh today launched an online analysis tool for monitoring foreign fund flows and its use under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 here today. This web based tool will help the officers of different departments of the government to check the source of foreign contribution and its use in India. In relation to compliance with the provisions of FCRA 2010, this tool will assist the departments in making decisions based on data and evidence. It has the ability to find and analyze large data. Its dashboard will be connected to FCRA registered bank accounts and it will provide updated information on real-time through public financial management system.

3.In the pending cases of sexual harassment laid down in the country’s first modern Forensic Lab for women related issues, five such labs will be opened in the next three months to deal with the shortage of Forensic Lab for DNA testing: Mrs. Menaka Sanjay Gandhi :-

Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi today laid the foundation stone of modern DNA forensic laboratory in the premises of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CSFL) , Chandigarh. In the program, the Minister said that forensic examination is an important role in criminal investigations and the Advanced Lab will contribute greatly to tackle the reduction in forensic DNA investigation of pending cases of sexual harassment in the country. The Minister said that this lab is being set up as Model Forensic Lab and similar lab will be started in other parts of the country.

4.India signed a mutual consent agreement (MRA) in Singapore with nursing sector :-

India has signed a mutual consent agreement (MRA) in Singapore with nursing sector. This is the first MRA to be done with FTA affiliates.

Singapore agrees to recognize 7 Indian nursing institutes It has paved the way for health care providers to reach overseas markets. This has led to the way of making such mutual recognition agreements with other countries of India.

 5.The Income Tax Department launches the new Anonymous Transaction Initiative Award Scheme, 2018 :-

In many cases, it has been found that black money is being invested in properties with the names of others, even though the benefit is being taken by the investor by concealing beneficial ownership in his income tax return. The Government had earlier amended the Anonymous Property Transactions Act, 1988 through the Anonymous Transactions (Prohibition) Amendment Act, 2016 to enable the law to be further strengthened. In order to increase the participation of people in income tax department’s efforts to detect black money and reduce tax evasion, the Income Tax Department has released a new award scheme titled ‘ Anonymous Transaction Informer Award Scheme 2018 ‘ . The purpose of this scheme is to encourage people to give information about the transactions and properties and the income earned on such properties made by hidden investors and beneficial owners.

 6.US Pacific Command will now say India – Pacific Command :-

The United States has changed the name of its oldest and largest military command to the American Pacific Command. Now it will be known as the India-Pacific Command. US Defense Secretary Jim Matisse gave this information on Wednesday at the Pearl Harbor located in the Hawaiian Islands.

7.Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the international money card, Bhim App and Unified Payment 7.Interface for transmitting international money in Singapore :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the RS card, Bhima App and Unified Payment Interfaces for international remittances in Singapore. Under the India Digital Initiative, they have been introduced to facilitate Indians settled in Singapore.
Addressing the Indian community at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center in Singapore, the Prime Minister said that India’s relationship with Singapore is very deep, which is based on shared vision and natural partnership. The Prime Minister said that India and Singapore want to take regional economic partnerships to a new height to increase mutual relations.
The Prime Minister said that the speed at which large scale economic changes are going on in India, nobody had imagined a few years ago. Shri Modi said that India is the world’s fastest growing economy. He said that Indian currency is stable and foreign direct investment is increasing in the country.

8.China imposes 10 earthquake measuring machines in Indian Ocean :-

China successfully set up ten sea earthquake measuring instruments in the Indian Ocean. Use them to measure earthquake, to know the volcanic eruption, or to use explosives.

China’s 49th marine expedition team set up earthquake measuring devices on the sea floor in the Southwest Indian Ocean on Sunday and plans to set up such five more devices have been planned.

Under the information from Science and Technology Daily, 15 earthquake measuring devices on the sea level will be removed next year.

The lifespan of the earthquake measuring instrument is from seven months to one year and after that it is removed for further research.

According to Keu Lei, head of the department of the Earth’s Physics Department, this is the first time that China has installed earthquake measuring tools in the Junhui Hydroharmel field of the Southwest Indian Ocean

 9.The Enforcement Directorate confiscated the property worth more than Rs. 4 thousand seven hundred crores of Sterling Biotech Group in a bank fraud case of Rs. 5000 crore :-

Enforcement Directorate has seized properties worth more than Rs 4 thousand seven hundred crores of Sterling Biotech Group in a bank fraud case of Rs. 5000 crore.

Under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, the Directorate has seized nearly 200 bank accounts of the companies and promoters belonging to the group, shares worth Rs.66.67 million and many luxury cars of the drug maker based in Vadodara.

Investigation agencies have alleged that the company and its fugitive promoters did not repay the loans of more than Rs. 5000 crores from different banks on the basis of fraudulent documents.


10.Hundreds of thousands of employees have been injured, the High Court canceled the policy to regularize :-

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday rejected the RegulgeRajion policy to regularize the raw employees during the reign of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. This policy was created in 2014. This order of the High Court will affect all employees who have been confirmed under this policy. It has shocked thousands of employees of the state.
