1.PM to visit Pune on March 6 and inaugurate Pune Metro Rail Project

The Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi , will visit Pune on March 6, 2022 and will inaugurate the Pune Metro Rail Project . The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various development projects. PM Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Pune Municipal Corporation premises at around 11 amUnveiling the statue of This idol is made of 1850 kg of gun metal and is about 9.5 feet high. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Pune Metro Rail project at around 11.30 am. The project is an attempt to provide world class infrastructure for urban movement in Pune. The foundation stone of the project was also laid by the Prime Minister on December 24, 2016. The Prime Minister will inaugurate a 12 km stretch of the total 32.2 km Pune Metro Rail Project. The entire project is being built at a total cost of over Rs 11,400 crore. Shri Modi will also inaugurate and inspect the exhibition at Garware Metro Station and take a Metro ride from there to Anandnagar Metro Station. At around 12 noon, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of several development projects and will inaugurate it. He Mula-Mutha river projectsHe also laid the foundation stone for rejuvenation and pollution abatement. The nine kilometer stretch of the river will be rejuvenated at a project cost of over Rs.1080 crore. This will include works like river bank protection, interceptor sewage network, public facilities, boating activity etc. The Mula-Mutha River Pollution Abatement Project will be implemented on the concept of ” One City One Operator ” at a cost of over Rs.1470 crore . A total of 11 sewage treatment plants will be constructed under the project with a total capacity of around 400 MLD. The Prime Minister will also launch 100 e-buses and an e-bus depot built at Baner. Built at Balewadi, Pune, the Prime Minister RK Laxman will inaugurate the Art Gallery-Museum . The main attraction of the museum is Malgudi villageIt is a miniature model based on Cartoonist R. Of. Cartoons made by Laxman will be displayed in the museum. After this, at around 1:45 pm, the Prime Minister will start the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Symbiosis University.

2.Rajasthan government announces ‘Camel Conservation and Development Policy’

Rajasthan , State Government has announced ‘ Camel Protection and Development Policy ‘ in its budget 2022-23. According to government figures, there are less than two lakh camels left in Rajasthan and the number of camels across the country has decreased by 1.5 lakh since 2012. There were around 2.5 lakh camels left when they were last counted in 2019. Camel is the state animal of Rajasthan and their numbers are continuously decreasing. The Rajasthan government had declared the camel as the state animal in 2014 . About 85 percent of the country’s camels are found in Rajasthan, followed by Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

4.MEA unveils special logo for 75 years of Indo-Dutch diplomatic relations

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and the Netherlands . Sanjay Verma, Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs and Maarten van den Bergh, Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, launched a joint logo to commemorate the occasion on March 2, 2022. The national flowers of both the countries are lotus and tulip in the logo. The circle at the heart of the logo represents our friendship, and the colors of the flag emphasize the relationship that exists between the Indians and the Dutch. Throughout the year, a variety of events and activities are planned to celebrate the 75th anniversary in various areas of cooperation, including water, agriculture, innovation, energy, climate and culture. The Netherlands gifted India 3000 fresh tulips, which were planted in the Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan Gardens, as a token of goodwill for the Amrit Festival of Independence.

6.Indian Navy successfully test-fires long-range ground-attack BrahMos missile

The Indian Navy successfully demonstrated a long-range ground attack BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from its frigate INS Chennai on March 5, 2022 . After crossing a long range trajectory, the missile hit its target with precision and conducted complex maneuvers. Both the BrahMos missile and INS Chennai were indigenously built and displayed state-of-the-art Indian missile and shipbuilding prowess. This reinforces the contribution of the Indian Navy in the self- reliant India and Make in India initiatives. This achievement establishes the capability of the Indian Navy to strike from afar and strike from sea to land when required.

7.Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN 22 concludes

The sea phase of the 11th edition of MILAN in which 26 ships, one submarine and 21 aircraft participated, concluded on March 4, 2022. Complex and advanced exercises were conducted in all the three phases of naval operations to enhance the compatibility, reciprocity, mutual understanding and maritime cooperation among the partner navies. The closing ceremony of MILAN 22 was conducted in a unique format, with the Commanding Officers of the participating ships arriving at anchorage on INS Jalashwa by helicopters and boats. Six foreign ships participated in the closing ceremony in virtual mode. The ceremony was presided over by RADM Sanjay Bhalla, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet.

8.Students from ARIES and IIT Roorkee to participate in joint PhD through MoU signed for academic collaboration

Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) and Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) will soon be able to participate in joint PhD programs and IIT Roorkee students can take advantage of various existing and upcoming facilities at ARIES to do projects on ongoing activities at ARIES Huh. This will be possible through a Memorandum of Understanding signed between ARIS and Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, for academic cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

9.UPI transaction cost reduced

According to data from the National Payments Corporation of India , India’s cashless retail transactions on the UPI platform in February stood at Rs 8.27 lakh crore.Which is slightly less than the previous month’s total (NPCI). There were 452 crore (4.52 billion) in transactions in February 2022. The total value of cashless retail transactions on the BHIM UPI network stood at Rs 8.32 lakh crore in January, with 461 crore transactions (4.61 billion). According to NPCI, the value of automatic collection at toll plazas using NETC FASTag technology rose slightly in February, with over 24.36 crore transactions (243.64 million) at Rs 3,631.22 crore. The value of NETC FASTag toll collection was Rs 3,603.71 crore through 23.10 crore (231.01 million) transactions last month. Tatkal money can be transferred through 24×7 IMPS, i.e. tatkal payment service reduced to Rs 3.84 lakh crore in February as against Rs 3.87 lakh crore in January. During the same period, as per the data, the number of such transactions is 42 crore (420.93 million) as compared to 44 crore (440.17 million).

11.Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announces investment of over Rs 100 crore for AYUSH healthcare sector in Nagaland

The Union Minister of AYUSH and Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal has dedicated Rs.100 crore for the development of AYUSH healthcare sector in Nagaland .Announced a major investment of more than Rs. With this allocated amount, one AYUSH hospital with 30 beds and three hospitals of 10 beds along with an Ayurvedic college will also be developed in the state. The Union Minister also inaugurated an Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Raza Chedema, Kohima today. 30-bedded AYUSH hospitals will be developed at Kihpire, while one 10-bedded AYUSH hospital each will be developed at Mokokchung, Nagaland University Dimapur and Wokha. In order to promote higher education in AYUSH in the region, the Union Minister announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art Ayurvedic College at Longleng. This college will be built at a cost of Rs 70 crore.

20.RBI canceled the license of Sarjeroda Naik Shirala Cooperative Bank

The Reserve Bank of India has canceled the license of Sarjerodada Naik Shirala Sahakari Bank , Sangli, Maharashtra , as it did not have sufficient capital and earning potential. With the cancellation of the licence, Sarjerodada Naik Shirala Sahakari Bank Ltd. has ceased to do banking business with effect from the close of business on March 2. The bank is not complying with various sections of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Upon liquidation, each depositor shall be entitled to receive deposit insurance claim amount from the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) up to a monetary limit of Rs.5 lakh.

24.HPCL signs MoU with Solar Energy Corporation of India

25.Developed MMIC of DRDO used in EOS 04

The Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has been used in the radar imaging satellite module of EOS 04 . Earlier on February 14, 2022, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)launched MMIC. At the same time, several Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) were designed/ developed and produced at DRDO’s Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL) and DRDO’s Factory (Foundry) Gallium Arsenide Enabling Technology Center (GAETEC). TR-modules used in payloads have been developed for radar imaging using these MMICs. More than 30,000 modules have been manufactured at GAETEC’s factory for various space missions. This is an example of a collaborative achievement between two advanced technology departments of the Government of India with support from industry partners. The use of indigenously designed and developed MMICs is a significant step towards a self-reliant India.

26.ISSF World Cup: Sri Nivetha, Isha, Ruchita win gold in women’s 10m air pistol

29.Biodegradable nanoparticles developed by IIT Kanpur
