4.India becomes 68th country to be included in Interpol’s child sexual abuse database

India has joined Interpol ‘s International Child Sexual Abuse (ICSE) database . This will help in taking action against child sexual abuse in India. Interpol will now allow India to investigate the relationship between victims, abusers and crime scene using audio-visual data. According to an Interpol statement, the CBI, which is India’s nodal agency for Interpol matters, has joined the database. With this, India has become the 68th country to join it.

5.Defense Ministry has set a target of defense production of one lakh 75 thousand crores by the year 2025.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that his ministry has set a target of defense production costing one lakh 75 thousand crore rupees by 2025 . Out of this , defense equipment costing Rs 35,000 crore will also be exported . He expressed confidence that the Public Defense Sector Units – DPSUs would play an important role in achieving this goal. These units will contribute 70 to 80 percent of the defense production target. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has urged the Non-official Directors (NODs) of Defense Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) to ‘ Self-reliance in Defense ‘To ensure smooth implementation of various initiatives taken by the Government towards achieving ‘ He was addressing the CMD and NOD of DPSU during the first of its kind workshop organized by the Department of Defense Production in New Delhi on July 13, 2022 .

6.Cabinet approves Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line to provide connectivity and improve movement

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs , chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi , has approved the Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road to be constructed by the Ministry of Railways at an estimated cost of Rs.2798.16 crore.Approved the construction of a new railway line. The total length of the new rail line will be 116.65 km. This project will be completed by 2026-27. The project will generate direct employment for about 40 lakh man-days during construction. Ambaji is a famous important pilgrimage site and one of the 51 Shaktipeeths in India and every year attracts lakhs of devotees from Gujarat as well as from other parts of the country and abroad. With the construction of this line, these lakhs of devotees will be able to travel easily. Other than this, Devotees visiting the Ajitnath Jain Temple (one of the 24 holy Jain Tirthankaras) at Taranga Hill will also benefit greatly from this connectivity. This new railway line between Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road will connect these two important religious places with the main network of railways. This line will facilitate faster movement of agricultural and local produce and will provide better movement of people within the state of Gujarat and Rajasthan and also to other parts of the country. The project will also provide an alternative route to the existing Ahmedabad-Abu Road railway line. The proposed doubling will pass through Sirohi district of Rajasthan and Banaskantha and Mehsana districts of Gujarat.

7.Meenakshi Lekhi launches the book ‘Swadhinta Sangram Na Suraviro’

8.Meghalaya to invest 300 crores in early childhood education programs

Meghalaya Chief Minister – Conrad K Sangma remarked that the state administration is planning to develop elementary education , and has drawn up a road map to invest in early childhood education programmes . Addressing the inauguration ceremony of a new building of Directorate of Education Research and Training (DERT) – Annexe in Shillong ; Sangma said that the related structure will help in improving the quality of education imparted to the students. The estimated cost of construction of the building is 8.33 crores, which is supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) . In addition, the state government has earmarked Rs 300 crore from external aided projects for investment in early childhood education programmes.have also been determined.
