  • The first 2+2 Ministerial Summit between India and Russia was held in New Delhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister  S.   • On December 6, 2021, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairsand the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0 This agreement was signed under It was signed to strengthen the waste management sector in the country. Under this MoU, UNDP will help in setting up 75 smart sanitation centers in the country. Also, UNDP will help India integrate informal waste pickers. This will help India in connecting them with government welfare schemes. The MoU also includes digitizing the waste flow and streamlining activities in sanitation centres. It will encourage the use of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in the measures adopted under the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0. As per this MoU, UNDP will assist India in solid waste management and used water management. Also, UNDP will help India promote and replicate sustainable models for waste management.

  • Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has launched a web portal named ‘ Hamar Apan Budget ‘ and a mobile application developed by the state finance department from the Chief Minister’s residential office in Ranchi . Through this portal the general public of the state can share their suggestions for the budget of 2022-23. The public can give suggestions through the app via Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and e-mail as well as by downloading ‘Hamara Budget’ from Google Playstore for Android phones.

  • India and the European Union (EU) have agreed to enhance their clean energy and climate partnership. They agreed on a detailed action plan by 2023 to jointly implement the 2016 India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership. The Panel agreed to enhance technical cooperation in energy efficiency, renewable energy, green hydrogen, grid integration, storage, electricity market design, interconnection, cold chain and sustainable financing. The panels also agreed to explore more avenues to strengthen India-EU cooperation in the context of the International Solar Alliance. The European Union expressed its support for closer cooperation between India and the International Energy Agency. India and the European Union also agreed to have close exchanges on clean energy within the framework of the G20.

It was the first sauropodomorph to be found at altitudes above 40 degrees to the north. The name of the new dinosaur means ‘coldbone’ in the Inuit language of Greenland.
