1.Professor Neena Gupta honored with Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians

Dr. Neena Gupta , a mathematician professor at the Indian Statistical Institute , Kolkata , has been honored with the Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians . He was presented this award in a virtual ceremony on February 22, 2022. He has received this award for the year 2021 for his outstanding work in allied algebraic geometry and commutative algebra . Department of Science and Technology (DST) , Government of India in collaboration with ICTP (International Center for Theoretical Physics) and International Mathematical Union (IMU )Funded by this award, it is awarded every year to a researcher from a developing country. The award is given to young mathematicians below the age of 45.Awarded to those who have done outstanding research in a developing country. Supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the award is presented in the memory of Srinivasa Ramanujan. Srinivasa Ramanujan who was a genius in pure mathematics, made his own brilliant contributions to the analytic theory of ellipsoidal functions, continued fractions, infinite series and numbers by self-study. Professor Gupta received the Indian National Science Academy’s (NSA) Young Scientist Award in 2014 for his solution to the Jariski cancellation problem, a fundamental problem in algebraic geometry. The NSA called their solution ‘one of the best works in algebraic geometry anywhere in recent years’ As was told. This problem was put forward in 1949 by Oscar Jarrisky, one of the most famous founders of modern algebraic geometry.

2.Approval for setting up a memorial for Khasi freedom fighter U Tirot Singh at the Embassy of India in Dhaka

17.Indian Air Force to participate in Cobra Warrior exercise in England

Telecom operator, Bharti Airtel Limited has announced that it has joined the South East Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 6 (SEA-ME-WE-6) undersea cable consortium to enhance its high-speed global network capability.to scale up and serve India’s rapidly growing digital economy. It will anchor 20 per cent of the total investment in the cable system. Through SEA-ME-WE-6, Airtel will be able to add 100 Tbps capacity to its global network. The telco will roll out the SEA-ME-WE-6 cable system in India at new landing stations in Mumbai and Chennai. Apart from Airtel, the consortium has 12 other global members. SEA-ME-WE 6 is a proposed optical fiber submarine communications cable system to carry telecommunications between Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Western Europe. SEA-ME-WE-6 is a 19,200 km network, which will run from Singapore to France. Its bandwidth will be 120 Tbps. The system is going to go live in 2025. Once commissioned, it will be one of the largest undersea cable systems globally.
